yeah! I found a great neighborhood autoshop around the corner from my house!!!! They are friendly, honest, and very reasonable. These claims are confirmed by my boyfriend who usually has to accompany me to shops in order to keep the mechanics from ripping me off because I have a pair of boobs...I know a bit about cars but not as much as some, so I'm probably an average car owner. Not just a boob owner.
Best yet, the shop is within walking distance from  the N-Judah line (and my house. No, you can't come over)
I will be taking my car (pick up truck actually) back to this shop for all work from now on!

For all the ladies out there who feel like the minute you have a car problem you know you are going to get gauged just because you know nothing about cars and the mechanics take advantage of it please read this note. I know nothing about cars except how to put gas in them and drive. Well, one day  my car just would not start. Luckily for me I live one block away from Halbets Auto Service Garage. I walked down and met  Conrad Halbet the owner of the shop.  It ws a busy Monday and he took the time to walk up the street to my car and check it out.  It was problem but he got it to start and he and another mechanic pushed it down the street to his shop to work on it.  No charge for that and a small charge for the problem.. He took the time ( ladies, to explain to me without talking to me like an idiot like most mechanics do) what the problem was.  He did not take advantage of my lack of knowledge about cars to gauge me like other mechanics have done to me.  I always feel vulnereable walking into an auto shop  because the mechanics see me and  you can almost here the ca ching going on in their heads.  He is  honest respectful and  takes the time to explain the problem he also is known not to gauge people he is rare...so ladies if you have a problem with your car call him  you won't be sorry. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
