What's with the clubs in Seattle? Can we at least get some hot, up-to-date music every once in awhile?! What's with playing all this music that was hot 6-9 months ago?
I'm not a drinker so if the music isn't on point, it's not worth my time. I almost got up once to dance, but the DJ just used that song as a tease before mixing in some other lame, played out hit.
VIP was okay, but could security do something about the losers that come up there drunk trying to grind on a group of women trying their best to have some fun?
Security at the door was really sweet and asked me if I had a good time as I was leaving, I just halfway smiled and lied when I said yes.
I don't know, maybe Seattle clubs think they'll incite a shoot-out if they play some good southern rap or even some Jay-Z once in awhile. All I know is, I could've stayed home and finished knitting the sweater I was working on instead of wasting an evening at this club.
First I have to Say: This is a nightclub. If you don't go to real nightclubs and know what to expect, don't go. If you stopped going to clubs in LA, don't bitch about clubs in Seattle. All nightclubs will have a cover, expensive drinks, and people in crazy and sometimes unsettling outfits.
That being said, I had a great time. The doors guys were as friendly as any club door guys. Not the horrible experience mentioned elsewhere.
The crowd was fun. What a mix. It felt like a United Nations meeting, and everyone was having a good time. Some crazy outfits (as previously mentioned).
I spent some time bartending in the past and watched our drinks being made. They were respectable. Not corner bar stiff, not ultra stingy. I didn't really want to pound a couple tall drinks and be wasted; I wanted to drink for a few hours and still be able to walk, so it worked out well. Cash out was quick and easy. I didn't have to wait forever to get my CC slip.
The DJ was good. I'm not really a pop/top40 music connoisseur, but I recognised most of the music, and the dancefloor was busy most of the time. Some Old skool stuff I used to party to in college, and some new stuff that I think I heard on the radio recently.
On our way out, the big Somoan guy at the door even said " Have a good night". I though that was nice.

Wow. the bad dancing. wow. the outfits. wow. the people wow. this place doesn't really have anything unique going on. I really don't see any allure and the crowd is def way younger than i would enjoy. There happened to be an amazing dj there that night, so i had a great time.

Went here on a Sunday night, it was 18 and over (please don't ask me why I was caught up at an 18 and over place--I just follow the crew. Where they go, I go : P) For some darn reason the place was packed. People were squished togethere like sardines. I mean no room to move packed. Being that it was an 18+ night, the crowd was filled with teeny boppers that looked like middle school kids. But hey, no cover for 21+. HA!
The first place we headed to was the bar (as it is my ritual at these places). The drinks were SOOOO watered down. Let me mentioned that I am a cheap drunk, but boy I downed a Black Opal, half an AMF and a shot of Hen and didn't feel anything! BOOO.
Needless to say we were there for no more than 25 minutes. We went elsewhere to waste our money on expensive liquior to get a buzz we can get at home for a fraction of the price :P

I stopped going to clubs in LA for many important ant factors:
1) Cover. I'm pretty much convinced that any place you have to pay to get into in LA, probably blows.
2) The scene, I'm done. I'm too old to be running around some sweaty joint playing, "My cock is bigger"
And 3) the most important...Weak drinks. Weak EXPENSIVE Drinks.
I need to slam 3 before I can even really start drinking.
So anyway. I got ass dragged to HhhHheavens, lastnight. And I was definitely hesitant. People I went with had never been there before either. So, I got a nice buzz going at dinner and we headed down.
Ok, this place is clearly ghetto. But non-threatening..At least, from what I'm used to. It's a pretty decent space, quite roomy, til it picks up in here around midnight, and apparently closes 30 minutes after that??
I truly hope that Heaven is nothing like this club. But if it is, I'm probably on the right path to avoiding it anyway. Luckily for me if I am drunk enough, I can have a good time anywhere.
Weak drinks of course. Weak EXPENSIVE drinks, but what can you expect. At least the bartenders were nice. I'm not sure how the cover was cos I didn't pay and we did seem to flow right through the line.
The music was...unrecognizably lame. Pure hip hop, and rap not even fun stuff. Every song pretty much sounded the same. But I did work up a healthy sweat and I broke in my new jeans. Booty shakin.
Smoov bruthas.
"ey girl, Ya dropped somethin...................my heart"
So I wouldn't say my first Seattle club experience was completely awful..but I definitely wouldn't come back willingly. I'd probably recommend getting really..really drunk prior to entry.

I have to agree with the original reviewer on this place. I was not all that impressed. I went here for New Years Eve based on some of the stuff I had heard about this club and I too was duped with the pictures. I am not sure if they put up all those lights and stuff for the picture and then took them down or what. On the pictures put up on the myspace page for the club, it looks like a Vegas nightclub and then you get there and it looks "ghetto" like one of the guys in my group described it as we walked in. The place is a little shabby and skuzzy but I still had a pretty good time, but I think that was more because of the liquor in me and the group I was with. If this was heaven, I wanna see what hell looks like.

FRIDAYS
Usually this place has a very late crowd usually showing up into the 11o'clock hour. My two Fridays spent here were actually celebrating the release of a music video, and again during a performance by a group of local rappers. The crowd picked up at the usual time. One thing I can say is that the crowd that comes here, for the most part, comes to have a good time.
SATURDAYS
... recently a new promotion group picked up Saturdays and it has become quite a hot spot. The crowd comes dressed to impress... and everyone seems to act the part. They have a half-off tab and free cover till 11'o'clock, and the crowd is usually pretty busy into the peak hours. I would recommend coming with a few friends and planning to dance if this your spot.
DISCLAIMER: This is the same promotion team who does "The Down Under" on Fridays... so be prepared for a few skeezas and some ghetto in the house on Saturdays. However, unlike most Hip Hop spots, there isn't the typical ass grabbing assholes... it's a little more laid back and upscale.

Who the heck charges cover starting at 9pm? I called them up to ask them what time they charge cover and the people on the phone had the biggest attitude. When I asked how much cover was, the guy said , "I don't know, it's not my door tonight?" Thanks for sharing, but how much is cover. What an a**. Seriously, who needs that attitude in addition to the watered-down drinks and glorified hostesses you find running this place. I think I'll pass thanks.

this place i don't know how anyone thinks it could be any fun. the security guys are real jerks. one of them with a freakin rat-tail looking ponytail tells my friend to get a haircut, another one physically picked me up and dropped me down outside to kick me out for trying to talk to one of my friends through the exit. i hear these security guys work for element too. in any case, i got the manager and he gave me his business card which'll give me free entrance next time, but i'm not gonna make them look good by going there, and i definitely am not spending money there again.
