I needed same day business cards. I whipped them up in indesign and called h&h. Joe said I could mail it to him as an email attachment. He called me back, double checked that I had correctly allocated extra space for bleed trim, and then printed the job. I was able to pay on pick up. Super personal service, super helpful despite my relative cluelesslness, and same day all for a great price.
H&H is what local business is all about. -

I have used H & H for years but my last experience has soured me. This is NOT a review of their printing (which has always been excellent) but their customer service. And a caveat: I have always worked with Ken (who is very professional) up until this experience.
So now a tale of woe:
I downloaded a template via the H & H website and did my artwork per their specs. Upon bringing it in, I was shown my artwork cropped not per the design. I explained that it was originally an .ai file and that if they opened it, they could see it followed their template. I was told that he (this exchange was with one person) couldn't open an .ai file and I explained that if they had Illustrator, they could open one (scary when a printer doesn't know these simple things).
I walked around the screen to see my file onscreen and saw Illustrator on his desktop. I was then told that to open it in Illustrator would be artwork time but he opened it anyway. Turns out their template isn't perfect (to the designers out there: the artboard doesn't end end where the template live area does).
Next I was told I did the file wrong and that he would then need to redo it (w/artwork charges added in). Ok wait, redo a file from a designer by someone who didn't know that an .ai file meant an Illustrator one? hmmm Anyway, I replied that it would take me two seconds to change it and that they could then look at my file for a new, corrected template if desired (I am very retentive with production art files)
I was next informed that this gent was "very busy and didn't have time for a small print job like this" so I asked for my flipdrive back. While he ejected the drive, I asked about the paperstock so I could know what is was; I was told the stock in a flippant manner then he muttered about me(!) in not very nice nor business-like terms. I took leave sad that a printer I had used on personal projects and had recommended to many had turned sour.
The good news?
I have another local printer that I use who will do the job for me at the same price.
The bad news?
H & H doesn't know that one of my clients was looking at shifting over 100k of printing to them in the new year. Looks like that won't be happening.

Just heard from Ken (the owner) who apologized and reached out to find out more. Makes me feel better and will try them out on another small print run in the new year. This place rules. I called at 3pm to ask if they could print 75 programs with a design I had on hand. I sent the design via email at 3:15 after talking to the guy and told him I needed some background stuff removed from the design. By 3:25 he sends me a digital proof via email. I said it looks good but just want to check the colors in person before we print them. I race over there and arrive at 3:40. All 75 programs are already printed, folded and packed up. They took a risk with printing them without me seeing them in person first but they looked great! And they were nice enough to accommodate me just minutes before they were about to close. The quality was really nice. Colors came out exactly as expected. I made my payment and I had my lovely programs in-hand before they closed. Few places deliver like this. I love H&H!
I'll never step foot into a Kinko's again! -

It is not shocking to me that out of 50+ reviews, this spot has FIVE STARS. If i could give them 10, i would. Actually...go ahead and double my five. This right here is a ten star rating.
H&H Imaging goes above and beyond the call of duty. No matter how small the job is, they keep on at it until you, the customer, are 100% satisfied. I've used them for (3) different sets of business cards now and they have been fast as hell, super nice, professional and the quality of their work is fantastic.
Recently, my boss man decided that his cards irritated him because the ink rubbed off (one side of card is all dark blue). I forwarded H&H his email, just as an FYI...without even asking me...they had already begun another print run and had them ready for me to pick-up the next day. Again, without asking...they went ahead and did ANOTHER print run on a different paper and had them sent to me. They didn't just fix the problem at their expense. They gave me options. Seriously??? What companies do that anymore? They treat each customer as if they are their only customer and I believe that is what truly sets them apart from every other company out there.
H&H...you guys are awesome. You know i'll be back over and over again. I wish I knew about you when I was making all of my wedding invites and paraphernalia! =) -

These guys have won our business permanently. They not only printed our cards quickly to meet our needs, but also developed a design as well as a hard drive crash eliminated our template. Can't recommend them enough.
Sure you can save a couple of bucks at Kinko's but then you will get a low quality paper card with low quality ink. You only have 1 time to make a first impression. Do what you like, but for me and my business, its H&H. -

Ken is the man. His staff are rockstars too. I never need to go anywhere else to get stuff printed. Postcards and business cards for work, even my own wedding invitations. I've worked with a lot of printers...none as fast, quality and FRIENDLY as H&H. Can't go wrong.

Finding good prints is very difficult, especially when you have to hoof it around the city, so when I hear a print shop is really good from a friend I check it out. This is by far one of the best print shops I have been to. The people are friendly, although busy, and do a great job. They will also cut the excess paper off if you want. I even got some extra prints that I didn't order! Even though I also had two or three with mistakes, there were still more overall prints than I had originally asked for, which is fine with me. Happy mistakes are always good ones.
The only downside would be that you have to make print runs of over 100 11"x17", but the plus is that they are pretty inexpensive, the prints don't all have to be the same piece, and you can always invite a friend or two to add to the print list. My friend and I did this and it worked perfectly.
Tips: Make sure to bring in a PDF file in CYAN/PRINT colour, and all the art pieces are either landscape or portrait (for easy printing). -

H & H Imagining is a great company. The owner is a nice but quirky guy who has a Simpson's character of himself on his own business card. He was very helpful in getting the right job done and in the amount of time I allotted. I was very impressed by this company's work and everyone seems very friendly and easy to work with.
Next time I need a magazine, business card, pamphlet, or any other kind of promotional material printed, I will be sure to check out H & H imaging. -

After an online ordering mishap I needed business cards printed immediately.... and it was 3pm... on a Friday. I was panicked and called H&H Imaging to see if they might be able to help me. I spoke to Lance on the phone who said he could probably make it happen if I sent the images to him right away. About an hour later, I had beautiful, quality business cards in my hand!
I can't say enough about the great customer service. They went out of their way to help me when I was in a bind. I will use them again for sure! -

I went in to H&H today and must say these guys are awesome.
Ken and his crew were super helpful in helping me figure out why my design wasn't looking so hot ( it was a design that soemone else did and I brought in for printing). I now have a good idea what to shoot for when I design my cards again. When I get it right I will definitely be heading back here to get them printed. -

We've been using H&H for all of our client printing for the last few years and we couldn't be happier. My clients are always thrilled with the work.
Aside from great prices and ridiculously fast turnaround, the quality they get off their digital presses is exceptional, and they have a wide variety of paper options.
These guys will work with you until your job is just what you want, including advising on sizing, paper, etc..
That's why we keep coming back. Reliable, fast, high quality, good advice..
I recommend H&H to whenever anyone needs a printer. -

Wow! I'm an artist and I'm very very picky about my prints. The colors have to be spot on, it can't be too dark, and it has to be a quality high enough that I feel comfortable selling it, and these guys were spot on!
I've had some really bad print experiences in the past, so when they gave me their price quote, I was a little concerned, because it was so good for what I wanted! Once in, however, everything was great. The people were busy, but courteous, and you can tell they care about the prints they make. I broke the rules a little by having various pieces, in varying amounts, and except for a few pages, I hadn't perfectly sized them beforehand. There was a very reasonable small service fee to get all the files in order, which was done very efficiently. Then, unlike some other print stores in the past, I was given proofs to OK before the pieces went through. Makes it so much easier to pay for the service when you know what you'll get; plus, even with my service fee I'm pretty sure H&H had the cheapest prices around.
If you're an artist or photographer and you need some work printed, I recommend these guys. It's not Kinkos, though, so this is for print runs. I believe over the phone the minimum number of prints is 100, but you can call to check.
When I re-do my business cards, I'll certainly check back here! Five stars for sure, for quality, efficiency, and knowledge. -

I cannot express how awesome my experience was at H and H. Personally I love using MOO, but H and H met my urgent and local needs.
Went in there last week to get some business cards printed. We did not have a clear idea of what we wanted, which is the nice way of saying we were very disorganized.
Despite our chaotic-whirlwind entrance, the staff was accommodating, patient, and ultimately printed us some rad looking cards, at a sweet price too!
Most definitely recommend them and will be back in the future. -

For a student on a small budget, H & H really met my needs. Ken and Joseph are super nice and will reprint anything for you if its not to your liking. My files always got screwed up somehow and they were so nice about making sure it was perfect for my portfolio.
I'm super pleased with the outcome! I referred all my friends to print their portfolio there!! -

I needed business cards so I looked on Yelp and found HH Imaging. Not disappointed.
Yes, they are very busy and Ken seems to always juggle 5 things at once, but he does give you his complete attention.
I was quite picky about the quality of my cards, and we had to go through 3 proofs (my own fault) before I ok'd it. Still, they were very patient with me, and in the end I got my great looking cards for way less than I've paid for business cards before.
I will go back, and as usual, constant great service will be rewarded with the fifth star :) -

I needed some business cards printed, but I needed the colors to match our existing cards, even though the originals were overprinted on an inkjet. Ken and the guys at H&H spent hours of their time trying to get our colors just right and cater to our idiosyncrasies, even though it was a relatively tiny order for them. Once we finally approved everything, they ran the few thousand cards right in front of us in just a few minutes. They came out looking great.
When you consider the time Ken's team spent on this tiny order, they lost money on the job. But they stuck it out and the cards came out beautifully. Plus, Ken was a really cool guy to hang out with during the long process of running proofs then tweaking, then running proofs then tweaking, on and on. He's hilarious.
You might be able to have your cards run by some online shop for slightly less money (though H&H is definitely competitive), but they won't turn out this well, and you won't be supporting a local business with a great crew that cares about their work.
I'm definitely going to be doing business with them again. -

Ken knows the business very well, is enthusiastic about the work, and is generally a nice guy.
He and his crew run a high-volume business here, cranking out business cards, flyers and promotional goods for the city at low prices and good quality. Most of his projects are of this type, and fit within a system/formula he has developed which uses a digital HP Press, a few select types of paper, and cutting/binding machines. Digitally printed business card jobs come in by the boatload, are cranked out within an hour, and sent off to happy self-promoters.
IF you are looking for this kind of project, I know of nowhere better.
IF you are looking for something more customized or complex, you may run into problems here.
-explaination-
I made a short-run portfolio book here. Being a book, and being a professional portfolio, it involved complexity and precision. We had some problems with the paper (both his and my paper) on the press, some typos on my part, some color issues with the press (grey screens) and some binding issues. Pretty minor problem solving, but I think Ken is so busy that his tolerance for working out the kinks and accommodating my standards was thinned. He let me know in so many words that he does not like custom work like this. Thanks for telling me when I signed up!
By the end, the book did turn out well: the print quality, paper and binding were flawless, but I did discover a major cropping mistake a few days later that will not be fixed. Ken seemed to think the whole thing was a pain, and his partner Joe was downright unfriendly. Funny because they claim to have done lots of portfolio work. I think this attitude is really poor form when you are providing such an expensive and important service for someone.
-/explaination-
Bottom Line:
I will not be coming back to HH for anything complex or customized again, but I might consider coming back for something simple. If you are a creative professional printing something important to your work like a portfolio, I would suggest investing a little more money to hire a shop geared for custom, quality work where you will not feel rushed and can expect very high standards. No offense to Ken, I still think hes a good guy who offers a good value and quality that most people will be happy with. -

Frankly, five stars just aren't enough for the folks at H&H. Ken and his crew are fantastic and they went the extra mile with their customer service and my 12 page brochure printing project.
Seriously, you see all of these great reviews and you think...now how can a company be that good? Right? That's what I was thinking when I called Ken for the first time. Then he took my project and we never looked back. He ushered the brochure printing with a professional, friendly approach at a reasonable price. Not to mention, the final product exceeded my expectations.
From here on out will be calling H&H without hesitation. -

The crew at H&H were so helpful with my calendar project. Ken gave me a tour of their facility, advised me on paper, binding, file set-up and trimming. The price was more than fair. They printed a proof for me and were able to hold the job while I made corrections. When the job was approved, the turnaround was lightning fast, 1 day. I met my deadline and am super happy with the finished product. The printing quality is really great. My project had a wide variety of art styles, from painting, to drawing, to bold graphics and photography, and all were vibrantly printed.
Update: A month later I placed an order for another print run. They still had my files and a couple of days later, BAMMO, I had my work. You can't beat that. -

you may have to go through several proofs for your business cards but the pricing can't be beat. they saved me about $270 dollars, i'm not exaggerating, price compare with other companies. the quality was comparable to my previous cards without the huge price tag.
i am very pleased with the cards as with the customer service. joe made sure my order was exact. i will definitely do business with them again. -

I had a last minute emergency printing emergency, you know, like everyone does on occasion. I happened to see their sign on the building, called them right on the street, and they seemed nice enough. I hopped up the stairs and they pretty much dropped what they were doing to help me. So awesome. Not only did they do my project in a rush, they took the first few minutes to make sure I was perfectly satisfied with what the outcome was going to look like.

Very happy with my experience here. Ken and his crew worked very hard to get me the high quality printing I was looking for at a reasonable price. The customer service was exceptional - Ken worked earlier and later than business hours to accomodate my schedule, which I really appreciated. I was extremely impressed by Ken and his team at H & H Imaging. I have had flyers, stationery and business cards printed there regularly and not only are their prices reasonable, but they follow through with getting the job done well and at short notice. Ken is extremely personable and I can tell he really likes what he does and takes pride in seeing that his customers are happy. He even gave me a tour once of their state of the art printing factory while I was waiting for my short notice business card order and Ken explained to me the different mechanical processes, machines and types of creative printing they do which I thought was cool and interesting. When I meet proprietors like Ken who take an artistic, passionate approach to their work, I think it's important to reward them and as such, I am a loyal customer. (The free parking lot is an extra bonus too when I'm in a time crunch!)

Absolutely the best!
I live in Gilroy and when I need prints FAST...I'll I have to do is send an e-mail and Voilà! The same day! I'm not sure they do this for everybody, but it's this personal touch that keeps me coming back. Ken, Joe and CicCi ar the best!

I have used H&H 6 times over the last month for various projects (poster printing, flyers, brochures, business cards) and have nothing but compliments to say about them. Their normal turnaround time is a short 1-2 days, which seems to be a rarity in this city. Ken has spent one on one time with me discussing paper, graphics, etc, helping me with attention to detail, and cost effectiveness. He clearly has passion for what he does, and in turn it shows up in his work.
