I had a last minute emergency printing emergency, you know, like everyone does on occasion. I happened to see their sign on the building, called them right on the street, and they seemed nice enough. I hopped up the stairs and they pretty much dropped what they were doing to help me. So awesome. Not only did they do my project in a rush, they took the first few minutes to make sure I was perfectly satisfied with what the outcome was going to look like.
These peeps rock.
They are amazing. Staff is super friendly and they will do their best to accommodate your needs. They even design the business cards / posters / postcards for free!!
They are super fast as well. I got my business cards printed immediately while I waited.
I called Ken yesterday at 11am with a job for 150 gift certificates. He quoted me a very fair price for the job, but more importantly, he said he could finish them in an hour from receiving artwork. I sent over the wrong format, but Joe quickly took care of it.
The level of service was a 10 and the price can't be beat in SF!
Truly a great experience. The staff here are knowledgeable and offer great suggestions so you can get the results you want. The service is quick and plus the free parking helps too. Joe was extremely patient with me despite some color issues with my file. These guys really go the extra mile for you!
Joe & Ken are the guys to go to when you need a big order done in a quick and professional manner. Great eyes for detail and know what material works for what item you need printed. Banners, posters, flyer's, you name it, they do it.
Called them for a quote on printing up some business cards. After explaining what I needed and what he recommended, the price he quoted was great. Other printers had given me prices up to 3X as much! After hearing about 1 week delivery times, I was pleased when Ken the manager said that he could do it the same day if I got him the file ASAP (this was at about 11am). Picked up my cards just before they closed for the day, in time for a meeting the next morning. Cards came out great, so I'm a happy customer and will be back the next time I need some printing.
I don't write reviews often, but my excellent experience with H&H Imaging has compelled me. Not only are the folks at H&H competent professionals, but they provide old fashioned customer service as well as very competitive pricing.
To give some contextual info: I have had one job printed by H&H, an 80 page 5.5" x 8.5" book of graphics, photos, and text. I ran 20 copies. I am having the book bound elsewhere, and H&H followed all of my binder's specifications, including paginating the book into 16 page signatures, printing the book in alignment with the proper paper grain, and folding and collating all pages. It should be no surprise they did an excellent job here, they were referred to me by my book binder. However, I feel the staff at H&H truly went above and beyond for me on what was really only a small job for them.
When I first got in touch with H&H about this print job, Ken, the manager, invited me to the shop to check out my paper options, as is standard practice, but furthermore he walked me through the shop, showing me the equipment at their disposal and explaining how my job would be handled. He gave me tips for preflighting my images, specific to what types of images I was using (B&W CAD vs. color high res photos etc.). And, when I told him I was concerned about the color coming out over/under saturated, and possibility of having to do a few runs to get it right, he offered to do a full quality test print for me the very next day. The test run was perfect, and free.
Fast forward four weeks later: I am ready to print. I sent H&H my (large) file on a Tuesday night, Wednesday morning Josf, one of the staff, a very helpful and easy going print tech, was in touch with me to reiterate my paper selection, etc. By Wednesday afternoon I was able to view a proof of 80% of my finished document. Why only 80%? Because my giant file crashed their machine when they tried to print the last 16 page signature! Agh! Oops! That was my fault for down downsizing giant images before putting them into InDesign. But, Josf told me exactly what to do to optimize the file and by the next morning we were good to go. All said and done, it is now Friday afternoon and including a day to fix my oversized file, H&H took less than 3 days to turn my job around. I could not be happier with the quality of the printing, the helpfulness of the staff, and the low price. They charged $.25 per page for pro quality, full color printing on 100 lb. text weight Mohawk matte coated paper. I wouldn't be surprised if H&H's prices are less expensive than Kinko's, and for quality that is so far better it's not even comparable.
I would recommend H&H without reservation, I have never had such excellent service at a print shop before, nor have I ever spent this little for such beautiful prints. Don't be wary of their seemingly low-tech website (which, Ken told me, he was in the process of retooling) or lack of reviews here on Yelp--as I initially was. Even if you are, at least go get a test print done. I will certainly be using H&H for all of my future printing needs.
All I can say is these people are top notch. These people are personable and have total pride in the work they produce. The owner is the nicest guy you will ever meet. He loves what he does and has a lot of integrity. I will never go anywhere else now. My business cards and stationary rocks because of them. Look no further.
