After finally motivating myself to drive across town in the evening I made it to the store. Their hours are from 4 till 10:00.
The owner is great, we found him to be very helpful and we ended up buying more than what we came for. If you are looking for the unusual this is the place. Highly recommend.
One night I was walking down Geary with a friend and suddenly I noticed that we were covered in red and green lasers!!! After affirming that there were no hit men in the general vicinity I saw that the lasers were coming from the doorway of a store called Guruguru. With a first impression like that, how could I not go in?
I was blown away. This place has so much cool shit!!!! At this very moment I am typing on my orange rubber waterproof keyboard that I bought there for like $8.50 by the light of my mushroom tap-on desk lamp that I also bought there for $8.50. I can't even begin to touch upon all the kickass shit they have here for unbelievably low prices. Definitely one of the best places to go when shopping for a gift for someone, Guruguru has lots of fun and totally unique stuff. I could potentially spend lots of money here, but I don't have to because everything is so cheap.
The sales staff is very attentive too, because a lot of their items definitely need explaining.
But anyways, I would more than recommend checking this place out, its way worth it.
