Sunday Sunday Sunday! Feel the excitement of heart-pounding amateur bicycle racing action! You pay for the whole seat but you'll only need the edge!
Actually I don't know if there is racing on Sundays; we went on a Friday. When the weather warms up there is a beer garden. I'm thinking they start charging a $5 admission at some point later in the season.
If you are with a racer, or know someone who volunteers with the organizing association, you can set up on the grass in the middle of the track, which is a cool way to watch the action, although the neck gets a little tired...
This is a very relaxing, family-friendly way to spend an evening.

Looking for something different to do, one of my friends hauled me out to watch a little bit of velodrome on a friday night.
Not having seen anything like this before, I wasn't sure what to expect. Was this a cross between roller derby and MMA? Was this going to be watching a bunch of people in skin tight suits and multi-thousand dollar vehicles?
Not the former, but the latter. Lots of families around to watch people flying around a banked track pretty much just for the sport of it. We sat over on the grass, right in one of the banked areas, watching people whizz on by.
There's a dollar parking lot fee and it cost $5 to get in to watch the races.
I feel very fortunate that we have a public velodrome in the area, since they're not very common across the country. I ride a fixed gear, among other bikes, although not a pure track bike. It is a mix of track/road frames since I have it setup for street-riding. Still, I had fun when I hit the velodrome for the first time this summer. So much so, that I went and picked up a smaller cog so I can swap to that and take advantage of gearing that's more suited for the velodrome when I decide to swing by and do a few laps. One of these days I need to sign up for the classes they offer, as well as stop by to checkout the Friday night races.

Bicycle racing.
Boring, you say?
You've never lived until you've been swept up in that blast of air as a group goes careening by at 30+ mph. And there's the sound. The whirring buzz of lovingly-built, well-tuned machinery. Powered by sheer human will.
In an age in which we're so caught up by electronics and machinery, the natural simplicity of Friday Night Racing at Marymoor makes it one of the funnest activities around.
