"SO GOOD. Plenty of vegan options. I can't wait to go back! If only the mango ice cream was vegan *sniffle*."
Good all around! I had the mango chicken burrito, and I was surprised to find that it had lots of veggies.... And they were delicious! The salsas were also pretty good.
The kids menu is great as well.
Only downside for me, if the seating arrangement... I had to get up from my chair whenever another patron wanted to get by.
Yes, this joint is small. But what it lacks in size, it makes up in deliciousness. I don't know how anything from Grilly's tastes except the Chicken Grande (Deluxe? Whatever the one is at the top left of the menu on the wall) Burrito. The way I see it, this is the best burrito in Marin. Here's how I like mine prepared: pinto beans, light rice (amount and color!) and medium salsa. Try it, you'll like it!
In all honesty, I liked Grilly's more when they sold fountain sodas--I can't stand soda from a can. I think I'd have gone with 5 stars if I could get a fountain soda with my burrito.
Pretty darn good. Nachos were especially so. They certainly don't skimp, and the price is right. Ask for spicy, get spicy. Ask for extra jalapenos, get extra jalapenos. MMM.
It is sorta tiny, they probably get lots of to-go orders.
I gotta concur. I had the Special Prawn Burrito. Excellent!! The place is tiny. The dishwasher has to move so you can get to the bathroom. But the place is clean, efficient, and reasonably priced. In fact, when I had my last shrimp burrito jones, it was Grilly's I was dreaming of. I did not realize until I went to my regular place and took my first bite and something was missing.
If you are a vegetarian, don't think you are limited to what you see on the menu. They are very willing to substitute tofu for meat in most items. I love the taco salad with tofu instead of chicken. When I say taco salad, I don't mean salad in a giant taco bowl. It's a salad with little strips of multi-colored taco shells. It is so dang good. It has gotten to the point where I can't order anything else. My fiance really likes the chicken version of the same dish.

Just polished off a good-sized veggie and chicken burrito (well-seasoned dark meat, yes!!) that was very good....
Other good things:
1. No cheese (not that I hate cheese, but I hate when you don't have a choice in the matter....)
2. Real veggies (squash, broccoli, mushrooms...this is good stuff)
3. Brown rice and black bean options - always a plus
Yep, it's definitely Cali-style and delicious...and sometimes that doesn't always go together...
Case in point...the burrito place in SR's Northgate's smaller mall, which features a "McDougal" menu and frozen, bland veggies (duh! well, no wonder America "hates" vegetables...if all you ate were canned, overcooked and frozen vegetables, you'd hate them, too)
But I digress...this place is good...only downside --- no chips and no salsa bar...my search for great homemade chips continues....

You have to try the chicken nacho's...........they are really f-bomb good! I really don't know anymore about this place then that!
I love their Steak Wet Burrito... My boyfriend likes the steak quesadilla.
The price can't be beat for the huge amount of food! I wish I knew what all their food tastes like but I just can't get over how good the wet burrito is.. not too much rice or beans just the right amount and with out charging extra it comes w/ pico de gallo, sour cream, and guacamole on the side.
I would definitely order to go cause this place is tiny... only like 6 seats. But don't let this deter you... grilly's is worth it!
