Wait...Green Valley? Where the heck is Green Valley? What's someone (under 50) doing in a retirement community, close to the Mexico border eating at a Golf Club? Well, you see my parents live there and you gotta see the folks! They don't usually like to eat out, but I convinced them otherwise.
We decided on The Grill on the Green since it was close to the house. Ever since they moved to Green Valley I've sampled many of the restaurants. Unfortunately there haven't been too many stars in Green Valley's dining scene. But then, what can I expect the early bird specials are usually from 2-4 and most restaurants are locked up tighter than a drum by 8:00 PM...because it's a retirement community. But I digress.
The Grill on the Green is a standout in Green Valley. We each ordered some manner of sandwich. Grilled Chicken, French Dip, Burger and a Patty Melt. They were all great and a good value for the money.
So the moral of the story is if you have to venture out to Green Valley, eat at The Grill on the Green.
