One of the Business' Favorite Reviews What's This?
I love love love this store. I always go in with intentions of browsing, and always walk out with five-ten different cards. The space itself is so charming lots of beautiful stationary, Parisian apothecary, and even gorgeous vintage jewelry. The owner is an amazing woman, and has exquisite taste. You could find something for everyone in here. The last time I was in I purchased a vintage parisian soap label, as well as a Studio Rarekwai sticker book. The card selection is amazing. My favorites designs are from Blue Barnhouse and La Familia Green. I highly recommend this store. I have started to send cards monthly to friends and family just because.
If I owned a paper store, I imagine it would look something like this!
I adore this store. It has the absolute best selection of stationary, which includes all of my favorites: Snow and Graham, Vera Wang, etc. Boxed stationary is my standard purchase although I have also picked up some beautiful letterpressed birthday cards as well.
I'd like to reflect what someone else said about the staff. Since I've gone back I've noticed that the staff has treated me like my business wasn't necessary or wanted. When I asked about a certain brand of correspondence cards I was told they were in the basement and what color would I like? Well, I didn't know what was available and was told I had to choose a color without actually seeing the cards (they're small so I don't know what the problem was). The chilly behavior continued through checkout. I love the stuff there but I always leave feeling gross..like I just came out of a place I didn't belong.

This was my second stop on my tour of stationary stores. I'm amazed that specialty shops like these… Read more »
I haven't visited Greer in person as I am not local, but I placed an order online and they were fantastic! Extremely prompt in filling my order, and they send you the shipping updates too -- so I know my order went out that very day, even though I ordered past the cutoff. My order was so obviously packed with care. Whoever packed it, or perhaps the owner, wrote a personalized note thanking me for my order, and enclosed two complimentary cards with envelopes. Awesome! Such an inspiration to see people doing business this way. The owner(s) of this store should be very proud!
Absolutely LOVE Greer. Their selection is well thought out and unique, and everyone I've ever encountered is more than helpful. Their cards are made of high quality materials, so each card is really special to give and receive.
In my ongoing effort to support local small businesses, I came across Greer. It's a quaint little card shop that's the perfect place to go when you'd like to send a reminder to others of how unique, classy, clever and thoughtful you really are.
The cards range from affordable to "are you serious??!!" But rest assured you'll find just what you need. I'm not sure if they do wedding invites, but you will find a good selection of excellent quality & "one of kind" type stationary.
Greer carries gorgeous stationery and perfect cards for every conceivable occasion. Its displays always make me linger because everything is so ladylike! It's hard to walk out of the store without an item or two.
Another reviewer mentioned supporting local businesses. Shopping at Greer supports it as a local business and the store itself carries goods from some local letterpress companies. A win-win if you think supporting a local business is important!
The owner is really approachable and helpful. If you love stationery, this is your store.
OK--so I love everything that this shop carries & they carry a lot of things you cannot find elsewhere...but I don't find the person who works there to be very helpful, approachable or friendly. She really needs to work on her customer service skills. The owner is very nice, however & very vested in her business which is always nice to see!
Beautiful little store. All of the merchandise is displayed in antique armoires, library catalogs, on old wooden bookshelves and benches and tables.
The girls who work here are super sweet but the owner is pretty cold. She's never said hi which seems strange. But, hey, it's her store, and she's kicking ass at what she does. I just want to be friends!
Great for hostess gifts and one-of-a kind birthday gifts (vintage desk accessories, jewelry, and candles are expertly assorted in the mix of paper goods.)
I've never bought so much damn ribbon in my life, they have an old card catalog full of it. whatever, it makes me happy.
Greer is my favorite place to indulge my stationery obsession. They always have a great selection of beautiful letterpress cards. I just wish they would play better music, because I spend a long period of time picking things out, and I really can't take the Chaka Khan.
Greer certainly lives up to it's motto: "Civility is not sign of weakness" Amazing gift ideas, gorgeous cards and invitations, as well as friendly helpful staff make this Old Town shop a pleasure to visit. Check out the Russell + Hazel binder sets and the Binth invites.
I'm all about email these days and I have the worst handwriting ever so I don't have much use for this stationary store. However, if you're into stationary you may enjoy this store more than I do. They also carry a variety of leather journals and photo albums.
This recently opened stationery boutique in my neighborhood is really charming and classy. They have a lot of the usual cards and thank you card sets, but some of the unique papers and desk accessories they have make Greer stand out from the other card shops. I bought a leather journal for a friend's birthday gift and have been eyeing their toile file folders - too cute! They also have a collection of distressed metal mirrors and other wall art that's really cool.
This is a great place to go if you believe in real mail over email. They have great cards, invites and stationery. They even do personalized stationery available which is always a good gift for yourself and others.
