Here for a Jets game over the weekend...and I hate sports. Amazing junk food (Nachos, chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks), cozy booths, plenty of big screens.
I'm a fan. -

We found this place on Yelp, so to keep the good karma going, I'm submitting my review to help someone else out down the road.
We were in town for the weekend, wandering around Tribeca, looking for a low-key place where we could get some cocktails, watch the US Open and kick off the weekend. I read the other reviews on Yelp and this seemed like the type of place we were looking for.
It wasn't crowded but it was pretty early for a Friday afternoon. The big windows were open letting in the nice weather and we had a spot right in front of the TV with tennis on.
You can't get Yuengling where I live so thats what I had. Friends had a mix of cocktails and beer which were decently priced. The food was ok - typical bar type stuff. Service was fine - we ever had to wait long to get refills on our drinks.
Overall a decent place to grab a few drinks and chill out for a bit. -

I just moved around the corner on Beach St, so constantly walking by this place made it inevitable to finally try. TYPICAL bar food, nothing to fall in love with, nothing to truly complain about. They played the Dallas Cowboys game here and I live within 100 yards away, so Greenwich Street Tavern is okay in my book!

BOWLING GREEN, NY
Often go here after work.
Has decently priced drinks ($3 Yuengling) and an average food menu. The crowd is the standard finance type. Not a bad place to catch a game either but is generally pretty crowded.
Overall not bad. -

How do I love thee let me count the ways...
When I want to have some fun
When I want to be lazy and have food delivered to me fast and hot
When I want to look at good looking business people
When I want to laugh at drunk people hitting on me
When I want a killer burger
When I want mac n cheese that's better than sex (most)
When I want the best lemonade coming from a bar
When instead of fries I can order GREAT mashed potatoes on the side of my burger (with gravy - free of extra charge)
When I can get an english muffin on my burger instead of a bun
When I can add lobster to my mac n cheese
When I don't have to spend a fortune to eat at an upscale bar in Tribeca,
When I can have a choice of so many out of this world wraps....
I can always count on you -

This is like if a pub decided it was going to be a little chic and a little white-collar. That's exactly what this place is, with the lit-from-the-inside partition separating the tables from the bar.
Our bartender Christina was lovely and the pints were Newcastle at 5 bucks a pop. Everyone was in suits here save one older guy in a t shirt and shorts and a group of broseph sports fans. It's because the Citigroup building is across the street.
It's kind of a classy joint, but when the suit next to you describes banking business as "doing a lot of blow", it's just kind of fake. The place is less about the place and more about who infiltrates it. Don't worry, I believe many suits are good people and I know many suits as well. It's just when you get a bunch of them in a bar downtown in Tribeca, it's just not that cool and doesn't feel right. -

Typical bar food. Serviceable. The fried calamari was quite good. The problem with this place is it's way overpriced. And the music is always too loud to have a conversation without shouting.
Watch out for the sangria that they always push on you. The pitcher is small, it fills maybe three wine glasses, including the fruit, so in fluid ounces it's miniscule. It's just ok sangria, nothing special. But, it's $25 effing bucks! We had two of them, and when the check came, I blew my stack. Ripoff! I know, I should have asked before I ordered it, but...come on, who would have expected that?
Dinner for myself and a friend came to almost $150. For a freakin' bar. Never again. -

I would come back for a Yuengling & some mediocre nachos day. Well, not really since I am not sure I'll be hanging out in Tribeca sans other destination in mind anytime soon, but hey, Greenwich Tavern, promise you'll be my go-to should the occasion arise.
Friendly bartender, palatable prices, bar food, acceptable beer selection; a good neighborhood joint. -

Another lunch spot in my work neighborhood. I don't really come here that much - just when the girls want to have lunch outside the office, which is rare. They always choose here. Partly out of convenience and partly because no one ever objects.
The food here is good. I get my usual - a swiss, mushroom and onion burger with a Diet Coke. I like it. It's never overcooked and the fries are good. It's big and I've never fully finished the order.
I deviated once and got the veggie burger. Was scared that it'd be gross, but it was actually pretty good as well.
The staff here is always really nice too, so they get a solid four stars from me.
And yes, it IS always filled with bankers... -

I came here with my Aunt and Grandma for dinner because I was in the neighborhood and apparently so was my Aunt. My grandma lives on N. Moore St. which is only a block away and she can't really walk that far so we tend to go to places in the vicinity of her apt building. We used to go to Ivy's but I guess it changed owners and now my grandma prefers this place. I had a hamburger wrap which was really interesting. I wish they had asked how I wanted my burger cooked because I would have wanted it more rare than what they gave me. It came with french fries which were pretty salty but good. Although I guess to some people salty means good. We also ordered capuccinos which were delicious. We watched the Belmont Stakes (I am sad that Mine That Bird lost, haha) and just hung out for a while. They didn't rush us at all.
Also, my grandma walks with a walker and relies on it pretty heavily. The guys here were super accommodating and one even helped her into the bathroom when me and my aunt didn't realize she was having some trouble. I see why my grandma likes this place and I would definitely go back. -

A decent place if you want to catch any sports game and don't mind the noise.
Plenty o' beer on tap.
Mister B liked his Bleu burger, which was served coolio-style on an english muffin. I had the lobstah roll, which was creamy and better than the last one I had (I was doing a NE circuit since I had never tried one) and quite scrumptious. The mac-n-cheese that the 3-year old ignored was also good and creamy.
Another in our party had the fillet of sole, which she enjoyed.
Service was okay, I was thirsty and kept on having to ask for water. Felt kinda bad... -

I went here for the first time Monday night for after work drinks. It was not crowded which was nice because my girlfriends and I were just looking for a quiet evening out. I hear that Tuesdays and Thursdays it is crowded as the Citigroup building is right across the street. I like that you can have the best of both worlds here depending on the night.
The decor is chic, upscale sportsbar. They have exposed brick walls, cherry wood bar, dim lighting, overall great decor! The perfect place to socialize after work.
I had a margarita and my friends had the sangria. We split an order of chicken nachos. The drinks were made perfectly. The nachos were unbelivable. My friend has been there several times before and she said you cant go wrong with the food!
I will definately be going back soon- overall great experience in a great setting. Great time! -

This place rocks for one thing, the lobster macaroni and cheese. The service is also really good, but in my opinion the best is the lobster mac and cheese. It has big chunks of lobster in it as opposed to some places which waved a lobster over it and said "Here's Lobster mac and cheese, pay me big money now!". While the prices are a little on the high side, the service and the food are worth it in my opinion.

We went here on a Wednesday night after work. The place was pretty swanky but the food was subpar. We ordered nachos and few beers. Aparently happy hour only runs on Wednesday and Thursday so thankfully we went on the appropriate day. The nachos, however, weren't spectacular. You can read our nachos review further at: http://nachosny.com/20...

I've been here several times, some for lunch, others for drinks, and although I haven't had a bad time I haven't had a great time either. As far as lunch goes I think the burgers from Pig N Wistle are FAR better. Prices are better there too. Drink-wise its ok, they have decent happy hour specials and the staff is very friendly. It gets pretty filled with the corporate-types. All in all music: ehhhh. Value: ehhh. Ambiance: ehhh. Id rather go to one of the other bars on the blocks around there.

I wish I could rate it as half a star. I ordered the fish and chips for 13 dollars. The fish arrived cold and hard, and french fries were disgusting. It was worse than frozen fish sticks. The chicken burger tasted horrendous and sauces (tartar and Russian dressing) were horrific too. Also ordered the wings which were just okay. Over priced and terrible food. As a Tribeca native, I'm truly dissapointed with the quality of the food from here. Furthermore when I called the restaurant to voice my displeasure, all I got was - " please call back after 4pm and ask for Joe the manager". Stay away, browse away from this restaurant.
