If you like to people watch in Miami, and you like to do it with REAL Miamians surrounded by REAL latinas, latinos, northeast transplants while sipping on good drinks in a breezy setting in cozy Coconut Grove, come here.
Get drinks you are familiar with, they make um good and strong. Sit outside in their comfy seats and just enjoy it. Early evening is nice.
That's it. -

Phantameo!! A.k.a. Overrated.
GreenStreet Cafe is a staple of Coconut Grove, it is considered one of the known restaurants in this town. Naturally, this place has its clientele and really doesn't need to lure people in.
Expect the service to be meh. Waiters wearing nothing but black, with a chip on their shoulder just because they believe their in the "it" spot. Food is also meh. Seriously overpriced for a burger, pizza, or any other food you can probably make yourself.
In short, this place is ONLY good for people watching. Expect them dressed in all sorts of ways from shorts & flip flops to high heels & dresses. Although owned by the same company, I'd much rather go next door to Lulu's. -

By far, one of the best breakfast places I have ever been to in Miami! My friend and I have been whenever we want to get breakfast, and their food is definitely a good way to start your day!
I highly recommend that you try their spinach and feta omelette (it's my favorite) together with their breakfast potatoes-- amazingly crisp! Are you looking to satisfy your sweet tooth? Order Steve's Banana pancakes! They are huge and half an order should be a good meal, but if you are extremely hungry get the full order.
I think it is one of my more favorite breakfast nooks because they offer you outdoor seating which faces the Grove-- good scenery! -

GreenStreet Cafe is a must visit when you are in Coconut Grove.
Food: I have only been there for Brunch multiple times on the weekends and it is one of the best (if not the best) places in Miami for Brunch. I have never been disappointed by the food at all. My favorite is the Spinach and Feta omelet with their potatoes. Very good! My wife always orders the Banana Pancakes and they are to die for. Fluffy, sweet, but not too sweet and overall delicious.
Service: During Brunch the service is good. Have never had any complaints about it. Servers always have a smile on their face and are very helpful. Sometimes they seem to get sidetracked because of the amount of tables they are waiting but overall no complaints.
At night the bar scene is pretty good. I have only ordered drinks by the outside bar and the bartender is quick and serves good drinks. Price is typical of what you would expect to find. -

I had lunch here yesterday... and dinner a couple of weeks ago and my decision is in. Don't come here unless it's for drinks, breakfast or if you're really bored and want to people watch! The food is just blah. I've never been happy with any meal other than breakfast. The banana chocolate pancakes are fantastic! The potatoes are great and eggs with jerk spice always hit the spot.
If you decide to stop by on a weekend for breakfast, don't show up hungry! Everyone in town comes here for breakfast/brunch and there's always a long wait. So put your name on the list and go for a stroll or have a Bloody Mary on one of their comfy couches. -

It's okay. Lamb burger is really good. Outdoor seating is okay. Same owner as Lulu's. Place is very dirty though. Later read on Local News 10 that they have LOTS of heath board violations. Well if I survived various Third World hell holes I guess Green etc. won't kill me. Wish they would renovate that place though soon. People rave about the brunch. Whatev'. It's just eggs, bacon, toast, and waffles. How special is that? I think maybe people go there to be seen. I don't know. Again, whatev'.

One of my favorite places to have breakfast by far!
Not only is it around ten minutes from my house but they always have a table ready and I've never had to wait.
Definitely try Steve's Banana Pancakes, and any of their breakfast platters with their small, yet fulfilling potatoes, and toast. The staff is always accommodating and friendly.
Although the Grove is resting in piece due to the influx of Midtown and Brickell, this place is always oozing with locals and tourists. It's a big hit in my book! -

This joint is a home run for great people watching in the Grove.
The martinis are epic, so are the bloody mary's. I only had a cheese and bread sampler plate here this trip and it was fab. -

I lost my credit card there several weeks ago, and a manager (Jondalar) told me that he would call back as soon as he could and gave me his word he would call back by the end of the day. He did, and he told me he would take it personally to the post office and mail it to me because I said I needed it ASAP (I live on the WestCoast.)
Also the manager Mauia was very helpful and assured me she would look over the restaurant several times to see if it got misplaced anywhere.
I highly reccomend this place for the drinks and the kind staff! :) -

This place has a great atmosphere and is always busy. It is right on the corner in coconut grove so perfect for people watching and having a few drinks. The food here is nothing to rave about, but it is consistently good. And quick tip for ladies... Free champagne on Friday nights until 8pm!

Miami, FL
Greenstreet has been a staple in the Coconut Grove for years. I was first introduced to this place a few years back while training for a run with my running group, who would rewarded themselves to Sunday brunch after a long run. The people in the group told me that they knew the chef, who was french, and that everything there was really good. So, I accepted the invitation still sweaty and tired from my morning run. It turned out that I wasn't the only one. On Sundays it is common to see people gathering for brunch after there morning workouts. The droves of bikers and runners venture out to this spot especially the people who have raced that day, and not to mention the walkers who also join in with their dogs. This spot has a great friendly environment and to be outside enjoying the day relaxing with a nice cup of coffee or a mimosa is a great end to my week.
After that first day, I have been back, once for dinner, once for lunch, and once for drinks at night. I really have to stress that the food isn't phenomenal any other time than breakfast. I feel like the menu has a typical Italian cuisine with the typical meat entrees that every other restaurant offers in Miami. Drinks at happy hour or for a stop off before the clubs on the weekend is a better choice is your not going for brunch. Thursdays is college night and the rest of the weekend it seems to always be a good spot to chill and have a cocktail with some friends.
The wait in the comfy sofa chairs and benches outside is a plus too. They at least make your wait enjoyable because sometimes on a Sunday when the wait can be over an hour, you need a good seat. So, go around lunchtime, get a mimosa or bellini at the bar and relax to take in the scene in at the Grove. The inside dining room is also interesting option, if the day is not the best weather to sit outside (which is where I prefer to sit), the non conventional seats and tables inside provide an interesting feel. It almost reminds me of a library, with the dark wood and the plush chairs. The service is always great. I have eaten there so many times and tried everything with no disappointments. I usually stick to any of the egg omelets or the banana pancakes. The apple turkey sausage is another item on the menu that I add to my brunch which is also a good addition.
Of all the places that have come and go over the years in the Grove, this place has always stayed packed and in business. For me, it is one of the best places to have brunch on a Sunday in Miami. -

GreenStreet Cafe is a Coconut Grove staple that's been around for ages. The location is excellent for people watching and is popular for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and happy hour. I frequently go for breakfast/brunch on the weekends and will often have drinks with friends on the "lounge" side at night. I find the the food and service to be consistently good, although I would like to see them change up the menu from time to time.

Review from Megan D.
I could sit here all day...the food is always good, the drinks are always spot-on. If I'm gonna do an entree, it's gonna be their salmon salad for lunch/dinner...brunch: eggs benedict - hands down. They have mimosa options that make my heart sing - anything with St. Germain in it makes me a happy girl, so gimme a Heavenly Street at my outdoor brunch table and I'm set. I'm all about people watching, and that corner is PERFECT for it.

Great place for brunch. I love the chocolate french toast!! The chocolate is inside the bread rather than just some source on the surface. My boyfriend ordered egg benedict, which was pretty good! Tables are outside and alone the street but not very noisy. Enjoyed a breakfast with sunshine in Miami was an wonderful experience especially for an escaper from the cold Philly. Price was fair, smoothy was fine too!

Greenstreet: a nice introduction for brunch and people watching in Miami.
The ambiance sets up for people watching during brunch or late evening when folks are ramping up to party. Upon the recommendation of a friend, we decided to hit this place up for brunch. We tickled our palette with an Herb Tomato Omelet, a stack of cakes, some Chocolate French Toast, satisfying OJ, and the obvious Cuban Coffee.
Not being from Florida (let alone Miami), it was great to enjoy brunch in a chill environment. Our waitress did forget a few items, but a friendly reminder remedied the situation. The chocolate french toast combined with the cuban coffee (espresso) made for a great filler.
I was highly impressed with the Dyson Hand Dryer ... the only location I've seen this in is Virgin America Terminals. If Greenstreet's attention to detail reaches the bathrooms, you know you have a great establishment. -

An ideal place for small group dinners, evening drinks and dates!
We have always enjoyed this place for the outside seating, tables for meals, and actual couches along the side walk for drinks. Plus the main bar is outside but well covered, so weather is never an issue for some type of outdoor eating/drinking.
My friend who is an avid scotch drinker has always been pleased with the selections, as a gin drinker I always enjoy trying the varieties the bar has. Smoking cigarettes and cigars is allowed on the sidewalk area.
The menu, like most Miami restaurants, has a large selection or meat, seafood, and vegetarian dishes, so everyone will be happy. Though some of the dishes have rather small portions. There is a weekend brunch menu that I enjoy, fairly basic, but always well prepared. Plus, there is the added perk of being able to sit outside on a quiet morning across the street from a park, and on slow moving early morning streets.
Note, even when we go in groups of 7 or 8, for drinks or food, the service is always top notch and the meals always come out at the same time. Kudos to the kitchen. -

Got here at 11 was told wait was 30 minutes long. after patiently waiting until 12 was told we couldnt sit because kitchen was backed up. waited to be seated until 1215, and ordered pancakes and they had run out. Didn't even offer to invite me back, apologize, anything, they just lost me as a customer. go to lulus across the street instead. they wasted half of my sunday and the food wasnt even worth it.

Review from Alison M.
GreenStreet Cafe is one of those places that are good, but that you forget about because there's nothing really enticing you to coming back. For example the food was fresh, portions were pretty decent, and prices weren't too high, but nothing I tried stuck out as being incredible.
I ordered the mushroom tagliatelle, which was very tasty, but also incredibly rich. Everyone else at my table had pasta or a salad. Again I think everyone was satisfied, but not blown away.
The ambiance was nice. I love eating outside, but they lit ticki torches at one point and the wind started blowing smoke at our table. The really one good thing I liked about GreenStreet Cafe was our waiter. He was pretty funny.
As a whole, I think I'd come back to GreenStreet if I was in the area and was at a loss of where to eat, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back. -

A great decent place for just a regular breakfast. Nothing fancy, food was good. Exactly what you are looking for after a long night and do not want to think too much about what you are eating. Had a delish omlet with some good potatoes and a nice glass og oj. perfect in every way and exactly what I was looking for.

We have to give this 5 stars because for the little that we ate, it was awesome.
Fresh outside seating even in August!!!
Warm fresh rye rolls, just out of the oven.
Goat cheese tomato pizza that my wife and I shared. I can't say anything bad about the pizza, thin crust, warm, easy to knife and fork or just fold. Fresh ground pepper and cheese offered for pizza. Not greasy. For this I award 5 stars because the little we asked for was served excellently. Service was impeccable...very friendly staff. -

Located in the middle of the Grove, all outdoor seating. A friend and I stopped in for Happy Hour and dinner. I had been here before for breakfast which was very good. We decided to sit in the lounge area outside which was nice other than they really need to clean or get new furniture. From the weather and being outside the couches were stained badly.
Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. They do not have a great happy hour. Basically no food just beer specials and two dollars off wine by the glass and well drinks for I believe $6. I ordered a couple of glasses of wine and my friend ordered vodka and pineapple which she said tasted like water. I would have sent it back asking for more vodka please. Happy hour does not mean, skimp on the alcohol.
As I looked at the menu, nothing was really sparking my interest. Burgers, pizza, wraps, salads and pasta dishes were basically it. I found their prices to be high. It felt like the beach prices. I ordered a salmon salad at $16. Once we received our food, my salmon was fresh, grilled with nice seasonings, fresh lettuce and very good dressing. I enjoyed my salad very much.
We enjoyed our dinner, and service was great. Although my salad was very good, it is not a place I would come out of my way to come to. Mainly for me because of their menu selection and prices. I have never been a fan of the Grove. Most restaurants here are high priced and food is average at best. -
Review from Joseph C.
Green Street is the only reason that I still go to the Grove. I love the fact that it has indoor seating (for the extremely hot days) and outdoor seating for a nice open air dining experience with plenty of people watching.
All of the brunch items here are pretty good. My favorites are the pancakes, eggs benedict, and my most recent discovery which is the goat cheese and spinach omelette. The service here is pretty good and the ambiance is great. I've also come for lunch and liked it as well. I had the blackened dolphin wrap. It was very tasty and fresh.
Green Street also tends to get full on some weeknights but I've kind of outgrown the crowd. It's comprised of a lot of college/UM students and the guys who can't seem to shake the college mentality. -

Miami Beach, FL
I've obviously been here a number of times since my initial review. We've made it a regular weekend brunch place because I'm in love with their Bloody Mary's and I think they do have a great breakfast.
The docked star is for inconsistencies in both their food and service. Although I've yet to have a bad order of Eggs Benedict here, their Omelets seem to suffer a different fate. They often come out looking like they've spent a little too long on the griddle, but are pretty tasty nonetheless to those of you who may not mind a little browning on your eggs. Service is pretty inconsistent, especially on weekdays when they seem to be understaffed, you can end up being seated fairly quickly only to wait 40 minutes for your actual food to come out. I've had the same experience with dinner when ordering a salad and a pizza, only to wait for an hour to get my food.
Considering the downfalls I listed in my review, more often than not, the servers are very friendly and polite and they can't really help the understaffed kitchen. The food is also pretty decent when the eggs aren't brown (as Andy said, these are attributed to Chickens with brown ears) and the benedict never disappoint.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Review from Sam S.
We ate at the GreenStreet Cafe a few weeks ago during a trip to Miami. After reading the many positive reviews on Yelp I decided we should go here for breakfast. We were seated outside on a very pleasant December day and promptly greeted by our server. My wife and I ordered two eggs over easy with hash browns, bacon and toast. I also had an orange juice. The food arrived quickly and was served hot. With hungry appetites we dug in and the food was great. Our eggs were well cooked, the bacon was delicious, and the toast was good too. Their orange juice tasted fresh squeezed, which is always a plus, and was excellent. If I had to find some thing to complain about I would say the eggs were not particularly season. I had to salt and pepper them quite a lot before they started tasting good to me. But at least they were well cooked. The staff kept an eye on us throughout our meal and was quick to bring us anything additional we needed and kept our drinks filled. I wish there were more places like GreenStreet Cafe in my neighborhood, this cafe was superb.

Doral, FL
After taking our cute dogs to the park, we decided to stop by this restaurant. Loved the couches , very original idea.
The atmosphere is so Miami...laid back...nice breeze...yummy food!
Pros: happy hour from 5-7 girls drink free champagne!
Extensive menu with good Vegetarian options!
Fresh water for our pets! double plus!!!
Service so nice and friendly!
Menu items tried: Fish wrap with french fries, Goat cheese Salad and Goat cheese pizza. All three choices were really good..or so everyone said. My wrap was just right, tasted fresh and was just the right amount.
Overall, a great evening! I gotta start hanging out in the Grove more often.Listed in: It's 5 o clock somewhere!

Had dinner here on a Monday night. The environment was great. Love good outdoor dining. Had the hummus appetizer, very good considering it was just good ol' plain hummus. I had vegetable lasagna, delicious although I would have preferred less focus on the eggplant. My wife had the goat cheese pizza (and I had it again for lunch the next day)
Good portions, enough for leftovers and a great place to meet up have dinner or drinks and enjoy what seems like a great little neighborhood. -
Review from Hannah S.
It's about time I updated my review, as somehow I've ended up at Greenstreet almost weekly as of late.
You can't beat the outstanding outdoor seating and red velvet benches (although they could use a good scrubdown). Prices are definitely inflated ... but it's the Grove, and with this place, it's all about location.
They have happy hour from 5-7, M-F, decent prices on drinks (no food on happy hour), but I've found the mixed drinks to be pretty watered down.
In terms of the menu, I'm all about the salads, and they're nice enough to make them into a wrap for me from time to time. I especially recommend the fig salad - perfect mix of sweet & savory with the figs and the aged cheese. Yum!
I like this place, but honestly, there's nothing particularly exceptional about it (except for their brunch - which is outstanding). The places are a little too high, and for happy hour, I'd rather do Lulu's, right across the way, since they include food for their HH. But, Greenstreet is a staple, and an extremely pleasant place to while away an afternoon or evening in the Grove.
PS:
They are dog friendly, LOVE it!
They give you snack mix when you sit down, which, while nice, is addictive. :)Listed in: Who Needs Meat?, Weekly Yelp Mentions, Marvelous Morning Meals, Pup Friendly Dining in MIA

Miami, FL
A Grove staple, this place has probably the BEST brunch around.
I love Green Street because everything is good. Food, drinks, atmosphere, service - it's got it all.
You want a delicious place to enjoy a fresh lunch? Green Street. Looking for spot to meet up with the girls for a late night drink? Green Street. Need to take your in-laws to brunch? Green Street.
Green Street has both indoor and outdoor seating. Tables provide you the sit-down feel, whereas comfy couches give you a spot to grab a casual drink. The outdoor bar is the perfect spot to grab a mimosa while you wait for your table. If you prefer to sit inside, you'll enjoy quirky decor, including a room full of books and throne-like chairs.
To be honest, I've only had a few things on their menu, but that's not because it's limiting - it's just that their french toast is the only thing I need to make me happy! The best I've found in Miami! But my friends all swear by their omelets! And their potatoes are a fantastic and flavorful side that pairs with almost every dish. The bartenders know how to make a cocktail - everything is good! And their iced cappuccinos are not a bad way to cool down on a warm Miami day!Listed in: The Three Oh Five

Things seem to be changing here..and not for the better...
(breakfast review)
There are many great things about this place, namely the location and outside dining. Service is usually very friendly and the food is good; however, the portions seem to have shrunk and the quality isn't as good as I remember. Also, prices have increased.
The outside tables could use an update as well. Things are looking a little dated here, especially compared to it's newer younger sister, lulu across the street.
Will return but might think about checking another option instead next time.1 Previous Review: Show all »

This is my favorite place for Sunday brunch in all of Miami. This is one of those spots that you always go back to because you want to try everything on the menu. Thats probably why most of the people that you find there are locals.
Top picks: The smoothies (both mango and berry) are awesome, the chocolate french toast is insanely good, and the banana with chocolate chip pancakes are a must. Oh yea, the omelette's are pretty good too! -

Miami, FL
I absolutely loved and adored the food and location. They are central to the Grove, have such great people watching, and cute royalty chairs to sit on outside. The menu is splattered with goat cheese, Yum! I ordered the goat cheese pizza, my friend the goat cheese salad. The pizza was one of the best I've had yet and even better as leftovers.
However, they lost a star for a few minor reasons: nothing on the menu was under $15, which seems high even for the Grove to me and I wish the happy hour had more, not just free champagne for ladies on Fridays.
Overall, the best part of GreenStreet: they are pet friendly and vegetarian friendly.Listed in: H!A!P!P!Y! H!O!U!R!

Ambiance: Outdoors; busy in groups
Food: Good
Drinks: Didn't drink; full bar available
We decided to go see a movie in the nearby Paragon Theater and have dinner near by. GreenStreet provides a street corner, outdoor ambience allows for smokers (cigarette and cigar) to be able to eat and drink. I am very anti-smoking, but thankfully the outdoor environment allows for clear air when the wind blows.
The bar area is wooden with tall comfortable stools. The area is lightly lit with a wide variety of liquor selection. They run a special of free house champagne for ladies during the their first happy hour. They have a second happy hour from 11:30 pm to close (with last call at 3:00 am). As a scotch drinker, their prices are reasonable and they have a "basic" selection.
I ordered the Blackend Dolphin (Mahi-Mahi) which was a good portion size and very filling
.
Bottom Line: Recommended -

One of the few places in Miami open for breakfast! It was packed! The breakfast has great options and everything was great and large portions. Lots of inside outside seating.

Sometimes, when my friends are having a bad week, when they really need a turn in their life, when they really really need a pick me up, I bring them to Green Street and make them order breakfast (served until at least 2PM, every day, by the way)
The breakfast potatoes, they are life changing. Life. Changing.
Yea yea yea, Green Street has great cocktails, appetizers, fine food, awesome decor and hot waiters, but those breakfast potatoes, they are therapy. Coupled with a tomato, goat cheese and onion omelette and you have a $12 slice of heaven, right there on your massive cocoanut grove-emblazoned plate.
Couple that slice of heaven with an iced cappuccino, and you will be ready for anything, even if it's just non-stop gabbing about your hot waiter.Listed in: Top Restaurants, Lists for Tourists (Miami)

Review from Izzat A.
Came here for brunch and was very very satisfied. I'm not usually a breakfast/brunch person, but this place has turned me into a changed man. I got the cream cheese, spinach, chicken omlett with breakfast potatoes and it was amazing. I've never had an omlet that has made me say O-M-G, but this one did. The cream cheese went perfectly with the chicken and spinach. Loved the ambiance as we sat outside in Coconut Grove. Service was super fast and friendly. A little on the expensive side, but well worth it.
