Greenstreet is your go to place for a good meal or a place to meet up for a drink. It has a lot of outdoor seating which is great when the weather is nice. I've only had the salads and brunch but both were great and very satisfying.
Fun place, and very laid back.
My approach to this place is cautious enthusiasm, riding the coat tails of an excellent location, the have capitalized by making the place unique.
Lazy Sunday afternoons in glorious Miami weather are priceless and usually very enjoyable here - the locals never dissapoint providing and endless source of entertainment, just watching them is pretty amusing in itself.
Green Street - please don't let your popularity go to your head - good old fashioned customer service never goes out of style no matter how "hot" you are - but sometimes we encounter the informal server who feels insecure about their chosen mean to earn a living and in turn project it to the patrons.... Wrong !
I'll keep coming and updating the reviews so... we'll see... for now - 4 stars is appropriate reward for good food, and good location, oh yeah and reasonable prices in tourist trap coconut grove.
Came out for a late lunch and received impeccable service. We decided to sit outside on the sidewalk to enjoy the weather along with the food. We were told we can sit anywhere we liked and the server promptly came out. He suggested the watermelon lemonade and brought out some bread.
The lemonade was very good and after the bread was finished, he asked if we wanted some more. I really appreciate a waiter who checks up on the table every few minutes and this waiter was on point. As I ordered the blackened fish wrap he suggested I get it medium due to the cooking length possibly drying out the blackened fish. I took his suggestion and the wrap was great. I got the fries with the wrap and they were very good as well.
Great service and great food at a price that won't break the bank.
I've been here a few times for breakfast and its always great!
The only downfall is that it is always packed and you might have to wait for a table. My fiance had a bloody Mary with eggs Benedict and potatoes. My step daughter ordered an amazing caramel Frappuccino with an onion bagel, chive cream cheese and tomatoes. I ordered an iced cappuccino, tomato and goat cheese omelet, onion bagel and patatoes. The drinks and food were made to perfection! I must say they always make their dishes perfectly delectable!. Hats off to the chef! The weather was great and the atmostphere at green street is always filled with chic Miamian dog lovers! Cant wait to go back!
Do you all remember that Miami weekend three-weeks ago, first week of October it was 65 degrees, sun shining, blue sky, puffy white clouds and a nice comforting breeze to bring it all together on this Sunday morning.
It is wonderful when a plan comes together. GF and I went to mass down the road, feeling rather glorious and happy to be alive, we decided to take in the Grove all it had to offer. The many dogs weren't even fighting. Lycra bound cyclist zipping by. The fortunate gray-haired types "cruising" in their rolling steel sculptures of Italian decadence. No sweating going on today. How about that mainstay the Green Street Cafe. Appropriately enough it was pajama day and the staff was looking comfy.
We paid a few bucks to park next door, approached the hostess stand and noticed at least 20 parties ahead of us had the same culinary desire this day. No problem -this is where properly run restaurants show their true colors-table after table of happy customer were being turned, we had no problem in standing around for 15-20 minutes (again no sweating), even the fans were off. Plus the smell of home fries kept us engaged and eyeing tables that were about to clear out.
The beautiful hostess calls out our name and we declare ourselves front and center. A few parties before us could not be found (aww) so we wanted to reward the hostess for their persistence.
Great two-top table in the middle of the action (again dogs at peace with each other). Incredibly friendly server with a phenomenal disposition and personality. We knew what we wanted two orders of Eggs Benedict 8.5/10, Cafe con Leches -nice Lavazza brand coffee used, HOME FRIES, golden brown, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside.
Although there was a long line at hostess stand we never felt rushed. It was nice flow. Had an extra shot of espresso to take on the rest of Cocowalk. Later had a pitcher of Mimosa across the street.
Green Street is what would happen if Alice in wonderland and Tim Burton had a ugly child with each other. That's not to say that the place is a bad one. Just the opposite. Large high backed foux red suede chairs are all over the inside and outside on the street. It's a great place to go and have a semi quiet drink. Their Manhattan's are quite good, for a quick mix, and beers come fast after ordering. There are the "street vendors" you'll have to put up with while drinking outside; but they will pass if you ignore them. I however did not, and ended up petting some guys snake.... No really he had a python around his neck.
Go here if you're tired of fighting for a drink in town and want to enjoy a talk with a good friend or significant other. This was a great option for me because im a old man trapped in a 20 year olds body.
3 stars because the chairs are cute, the drinks are good, and the location works for anyone in Coconut Grove. I would like to see a bit more control of the colorful street vendors coming up to your table, and a bit more theme to their décor other then the cool chairs outside. Perhaps some really seasonal premium cocktails would be a nice touch.
Choosing to have dinner at a brunch place was probably not the best idea but I still to go against my instinct. ;/
Walking in there made me feel like I walked into Dracula's dining lair...big red velvet cushion chairs...hmm...black walls and chandeliers...I imagine Halloween parties here would be pretty interesting!
Gf and I ordered Linguini Tetrazini?, Salmon Salad and Guacamole with Chips. The salmon was good, the guac was ordinary and my pasta was tasty except it had a fishy/aged cheese smell or taste. I could only bring myself to get finish the chicken in there.
Service wasn't super great...we sat further in the back and our waitress kind of forgot about us. We had to ask another waitress to grab our waitress at the end...and of course she came right over to drop our check! Not very impressed.
Tip-bits:
Read and listen to the crowd : Brunch!
I previously wrote a review detailing the pros and cons of this restaurant, but it seems to have been erased...
Service is good. Nice atmosphere. Food is okay, but overpriced.
Regardless of nice atmosphere, it should be brought to the community's attention how the restaurant management treats their employees. I have been a regular here for some time now and I constantly see servers getting yelled at and belittled by the managers (in front of customers!). I have spoken with several employees who say the owner threatens to fire them on a daily basis and that they have to pay for customers' food that is returned. One employee was fired after calling in sick with swine flu. Although I once enjoyed dining there, I WILL NOT GIVE THEM MY BUSINESS, AND WILL SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT WHAT THIS RESTAURANT IS REALLY ABOUT.
Don't understand how other restaurants fail, yet this place continues. My husband owned a restaurant for 20 years and still scratches his head over this place.
Last time we went was for breakfast. Seriously, scrambled eggs with potato cubes and bland toast, with a tasteless cup of coffee.
The absolute worst part of this experience is the noise from the trucks coming down Commodore Plaza to make their morning deliveries. Not only can you not carry on a conversation (had to ask the waitress to hold on until the idling truck moved on), but you're breathing in diesel fumes with every mouthful. Diesel and eggs is not my idea of a good morning meal. Forget about the pigeons or the gross brick sidewalk that can't be pressure-washed since the sidewalk is really the only place to eat (unless you want to eat in the crypt).
Service is fine, but I always think the waitstaff has alterior motives for working there (like maybe finding a lead to a better job?)
Good service, incredible burger. Free drink refills, too. That's rare at a place as chic as this.
Dear GreenStreet,
You are the Grove staple of my life. On you, I know I can count on not to be disappointed. So when the BF said he was starving on our way home yesterday, I knew EXACTLY where I wanted to eat.
The weather was absolutely beautiful yesterday and for an August afternoon there was a nice, crisp breeze. So of course, I opted to sit on one of the couches outside, facing Main Highway for the people watching.
Our waitress promptly came up to us and asked us what we wanted to drink. A wine menu quickly followed and she made some great suggestions. I went with a Malbec, and the BF had a Pinot Noir.
We took some time to just enjoy the wine before we even opened the menus to satisfy our grumbling stomachs. Finally, I had to order before I passed out. LOL I decided to go with the Veal Scallopinis in a Porcini mushroom sauce. At first, I was a bit taken aback, because it was not the flavor that I was expecting. I had only ever had the Veal Scallopinis at Tango's down south, and they use a Marsala sauce. So I think my palate was confused. But the more I tried it, the more delicious it became. The creamy mushroom sauce was just delectable, and the crisp, thin french fries that were served as a side were just perfect drenched in this sauce.
The BF ordered the Mushroom Triangoli dish with the same Porcini mushroom sauce. They were like little blue raviolis filled with mushrooms and topped with the creamy sauce. This was very tasty as well. However, I feel like I noticed a hint of "freezer" taste to it... Maybe it was me. The BF didn't say anything. But I tasted something just slightly off...
GreenStreet, you always come through. We definitely enjoyed our dinner very much and the atmosphere was just perfect. I even like your new 24 @ 24 promotion (It's 24 different bottles of wine at the price of $24/bottle). :) Great touch. Thanks for everything.
Best Regards,
SabrinaAnna*

I have always thoroughly enjoyed GreenStreet Cafe. This place is a Grove staple and has been here… Read more »
I did not put in my comments yet? What? The Green Man must comment on Green Street... The name says it all, or does it. Never really could figure this one out, since it sits in the corner of Main and Commodore Plaza...
The food is Mediterranean and has items like hummus, fig leaves and olives as starters; then moves into listings like chicken pasta and salmon salad for main dishes. All good. The best times to come are early on the weekend for breakfast. I note early, because it does get full, very full. Fresh juice, coffee and basic selection of eggs, anyway you can imagine them. Items are served to order and accompanied by house potatoes. I also like the lox here, as well as my favorite, Eggs benedict.
The other best time must be happy hour. Once the 3 o'clock hour has passed, they are pulling out the dark red velvet couches and lounges and transform the sidewalk into a true happy place. People watching gets really close up. The bar behind, facing Main, is now open as well and the perfect late lunch or early evening can proceed.
Along Commodore there are tables lining the sidewalk for great outdoor seating. Even during light sprinkles, this area stays pretty dry. There are a bar and more tables inside, I have never seen. Greenstreet is the place to sit outside, enjoy good food and drink and take in the full flavor of the Grove.
Lookout for happy hours and other specials.
I've always had mixed feelings about GreenStreet; I wouldn't suggest the place but I don't mind going there.
The turkey panini is great for lunch, enough to share between 2 people because it comes with a big side dish.
The brunches a good but doesn't seem to have enough selections.
However, $14 for a turkey sandwich is a bit pricey, maybe that's why I'm ambivalent about this place.
What a great place, i live in the grove, been eating at greenstreet cafe for about 15 years. the owner(sylvano) is great an very friendly, the manager's are working there for many year's an run the business like if it was there owne. everybody is always very welcom there. the food is always very good an very well price. thank you for everything greenstreet cafe......before i go i wanted to respond to Aaron W. on is review.... if the employees are being treated so bad why is there "employees" working there for 20year's...... i go there every day an i no a lot of employees by the first name, who have been there for so many years, an by the way, this site is for reviews of restaurants, if somebody that work's there as a problem i am sure they can take care of it..... great job greenstreet........ you are #1
While surrounding restaurants are constantly undergoing transformation under new ownership, GreenStreet continues to stand strong and has done so for almost more than two decades. This says a lot about a place always filled with locals, politicians, and pets are also welcomed.
I've been coming here for more than 10 years for birthdays, football games or simply dinner or a drink and I have never been disappointed.
My boyfriend and I visited for breakfast this weekend. We arrived early, about 9am. You should too if you can, it gets really crowded after 10am and you are more likely to wait. I had a delicious omelet with mushrooms and goat cheese. My better half went for the egg whites with spinach and feta which I tried and almost made me feel guilty for ordering eggs. Well, almost.
Come hungry, they are very splendid with portions; my wheat toast appeared to be super sized. Luckily, my man likes to spread jelly and have as desert so no bread was wasted here. We sat at the small, round outdoor tables and though crowded, it was not noisy and was bright with the morning sunlight. Plus sitting outside means taking pleasure in people watching and table side pets like the little poodle whose owner had sat in his own chair. If you are a bag lady like me, a hook under the outside tables holds your bag. You can also sit in the red velvet like comfortable couches, it's signature seating at this Coconut Grove staple.
My boyfriend and I went for brunch.
Fresh squeezed OJ and watermelon lemonade were great. He said the coffee was awful. He got eggs benedict, I got salmon benedict. Ham seemed like pre-sliced processed meat. My egg was basically cooked through (I mean, hard-boiled by accident) so back it went. It came back on the wheat toast they'd forgotten the first time instead of the english muffin. Oops. Hollandaise was somehow off.
All of this could be potentially forgiven - but we were really bothered by the line on the menu under pancakes that said "Real maple syrup available for $1.25 extra." If you are known for brunch, you get points off for serving corn syrup - and more points off for announcing it.
I could be convinced to give this another try, but only under duress.
I was going to be in Miami for 2 days and heard that Joe's Stone Crab was the one place I had to check out, especially if I could eat on company money. Well, shortly after we landed, my coworker and I checked into our hotels and made a bee-line for Joe's. To our dismay, they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, which is the only two days we would be there...
Since he had been to Miami before and this was my first time, he suggested that we check out Coconut Grove for some other eats. After getting a little bit lost, mainly because I left my GPS in my room, we found parking in a small $6 lot next to GreenStreet. We hung out there another good 5 minutes admiring the dark gray Aston Martin Vantage that we parked next to.
In short, GreenStreet didn't have the crab legs we were craving, but it had a tasty-looking menu and very nice atmosphere. We initially sat outside but requested to move inside when the mosquitoes found me. The decor is very interesting and not what you would expect - dark red velvet seats and strange figurines all over the ceiling.
What we ordered:
* Warm goat cheese salad - split this between 2 of us as appetizer. first time I've ever had fried goat cheese and the salad dressing was a perfect complement.
* Salmon with fennel sauce - fresh and a good size. slightly too dry around the outside where they blackened a very pretty grill pattern.
* [some fish I can't remember] and lemon butter - this was their special for the day and I was offered to try a bite off my coworker's plate. wow I have never had anything lemony-er...the sauce is clearly made with some lemon concentrate or something because it was more sour than sucking on a fresh lemon. no idea how he ate all of it without getting sick.
Green Street... How I would love to love this place for brunch, but I dont.
Bottom line probably the most overrated brunch in Miami. The eggs benedict are subpar and the breakfast in general is just average yet there is always an hour wait and people seem to rave about this place like it is the second coming. I strongly feel that people just like to sit out there on Sunday morning just to be seen looking fabulous on a busy corner.
It gets 3 stars because I do enjoy their lunch menue. Good paninis and great burgers.
GreenStreet cafe is a good place to have lunch, specially if you like people watching....sitting outside always makes for a great lunch date. It's also a really good place if you are a vegetarian, they have some great appetizers like the lentil salad and the grilled asparagus, and some great salads and veggie wraps for entrees. If you go and their soup of the day is Ginger-Carrot YOU MUST TRY A BOWL!! its delicious...but for the most part, its nothing out of this world, the prices are really steep for what they offer, and if you sit inside for whatever reason the service tends to be slower. Also it feels stuffy in there because of the velvet decor. Overall its probably one of the best places to eat at the Grove, but I probably wouldn't go there more than twice a year.
I love this place!!! I've been coming here for years and used to come Monday nights a long, long time ago when they had 1/2 price bottles of wine.
Food is still fantastic, service is good and the outside seating area is great for people watching. My favorite is the blackened mahi with garlic mashed potatoes. Never had to wait for a table and have always had a blast with my husband or group of friends. I've never come for brunch, but will one day when I get up early enough to get there. The only star I would take away is for their abbreviated wine list. They used to have much more variety and now they do not.
Definitely a must if you are in the area and want a delicious meal.
my friend asked me to meet him here for a little biz talk last night, i had never been to green street before, didnt even notice it and this is kinda embarrassing as ive biked on main hwy at least eight hundred times.
i really like their seating area outside, like liz t says, awesome antique wooden chairs ... i like that. i did not come in at all but it seemed like it was dark inside.
about the service. i guess im picky, and i know this. im spoiled and potentially rude but i dont like it when a server seats you and says "hihowareyouwouldyoulikesomethingtodrink?" i like it when they respond. i usually respond "im good, how about yourself?" as soon as i hear 'how are you?' but rarely i get an answer. i know, im spoiled. its my bad education. i am aware.
we ordered a few beers, oh yeah, all of their beers are only $4.50 after 10pm and wells are $6. so i had a few guinness draught and my friend had a few heinekens. we also shared a pizza margarita. pretty good pizza actually... and only 12$
overall, my experience was ok, i would come back for the food and inexpensive beers and hopefully i will get more attentive/personalized service and i will bump my rating up another star making it 4 solid stars.
awesome food and nice views
This place is really great...and super laid back. I love going here and sitting out at the tables on the sidewalk and have some drinks and food. The food quality at GreenStreet is really good...and it is a nice alternative when you want to get something a little healthier after a late night in the grove instead of fast food or something else that isn't too healthy for you. They have a really good drink special on Wednesday's...$5 Dewars 12 or Black Label. Give this place a try if you want a place to get a good bite to eat with good drinks thats really laid back and you can enjoy the ambiance of the grove.
This is probably my favorite place to go in The Grove. I love the food, I love the location, and I love the memories. The last time I went was right after the King Mango Strut this past year. At first I was kinda annoyed because they were so crowded that day that they sat us next to some really loud music, but then I realized it was King Mango Strut Day and started jammin' out to the loud music instead. Eventually my ears grew accustomed to the decibels.
I've been here a few times and not once have I been disappointed. The service has always been great, even when it's insanely crowded. The food has always tasted delicious, even when I ordered plain pasta with nothing on it on my anniversary dinner because I had to get surgery a couple of days after. Weird, but true!
My favorite thing to order here is the Pear and Endive salad with bleu cheese and walnuts- very refreshing!
I feel ashamed because I keep hearing about how awesome their breakfast food is, yet I have never ordered it. I promise I will one day! Five stars for Green Street!
For me, this place is fresh alternative to my normal Brickell and SoBe Brunch locations. It offers the same things as my normal stand-bys -- mimosas, late breakfast, outdoor seating, people watching and retail shops close by for that post-mimosa-buzz-induced shopping spree.
While there appears to be many folks waiting to be seated -- even before noon -- we only had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated outside. I like that they offer different kinds of pancakes and waffles including, whole wheat. They also offer different kinds of eggs. Not too many places offer scrambled eggs with different kinds of cheeses.
I made the mistake of ordering the scrambled eggs with goat cheese. It just didn't work. It wasn't Green Street's fault -- it is just NOT a good combination (and I still cringe thinking about it).
I love how they accomodated our request for a bottle a champagne with a side of orange juice (great way to save $ on mimosas -- make 'em yourself).
Overall -- a nice change of pace from South Beach and Brickell -- good service -- but nothing on the menu that causes me to day dream.
A Grove classic on the corner with sidewalk couches and coffee tables to better watch the passers by.
The menu is nothing to jump up and down about, but the food is good (except for the lamb burger, baaad, can't recommend it except maybe for your doggies - they do allow pets).
All in all, a solid choice for brunch or evening appetizers.
Two different sides to this place...
a) Sunday morning brunch:
This place is wonderful for brunch; on a nice day you can sit outside and enjoy the warm sun. They make excellent omelettes and serve great mimosas. A little pricey, but very enjoyable. Watch out for people passing by with VERY large animals... aka, dogs, snakes, etc.
b) Thurs/Fri/Sat night hangout:
This is the people-watching place. When the Grove is packed, Greenstreet is out of out hand! You can't get a table, they even have guardrails up to keep you out of the street.
But, on a quieter weekend evening, you can sit, have a nice bottle of wine, and enjoy some simple appetizers: fruit and cheese platter, the mediterranean platter with humus and pita, or a well-portioned salad. The wine selection is good and reasonably priced so you can even enjoy a bottle. Really enjoyable without the meat market crowd.
Great spot to sit outside and people watch. They've got a bunch of outdoor seating, they serve brunch too, I've never been for dinner but I have been there in the evening for drinks.
Odd thing is, they're right next door to Senor Frogs(very lame) and the awnings that hang over Green Street say Senor Frogs on them. So, if you don't know, you think it's all Senor Frogs. They must fix that.
The manager proudly parks his/her vintage Vespa Sprint right outside the place on the corner of Commodore Plz and Main Hwy. Very cool. Big props for that!
Green Street is like an old friend. You are always glad to see them and you always get to reminisce. You must try breakfast, as I have many times. The burger with goat cheese is a must and the salads are great too. Just relax and enjoy, you are at one of Miami's oldest and finest. Forgot one thing, sit outside otherwise whatever you just read is meaningless.
Eeh.
I know that most people come here at night for drinks, and the location and ambiance is great, but I went here for breakfast, and it was only okay.
I am a breakfast food person. You know, the kind that orders off of Denny's breakfast menu all day long.
The food was mediocre; IHOP does better pancakes.
When I go out, I want to eat something I can't do at home, or I want it done better.
Next time, I'd stay home.
I love going to GreenStreet for Brunch. I like to sit outside on a nice cool Miami morning! (during fall, winter and early spring of course) The french toast with the maple syrup is one of my favorite. I know it's always swamped during the weekend, but can the service get better and more consistent? I am not a hard person to please when it come to service, all you need to do is come check on us if we need refill on the coffee, water or juice, is that too much to ask?
I guess I am a sucker or it's because it's close to my house or maybe for the mediocre service......yes I will go back to eat there.
Ask any local about GreenStreet and they'll tell you they've been there, done that, and like it.
This is probably one of the Grove's most iconic bar/cafes. No matter what comes and goes GreenStreet remains and it's popularity never seems to wane.
Maybe it's that half their seats are actually cool, old couches/love seats on the sidewalk. I'm not even sure this place has indoor seating and that's ok cause I'd never want to sit inside.
Their menu is pretty good I especially enjoy the goat cheese pizza. Great spot for lounging away and whenever I sit at this place I always remember that old saying how if you sit somewhere long enough the whole world will walk by you.
What a killer spot! Great food, fun servers and excellent people watching. Had a lunch and dinner there prior to and after a triathlon. Very accomodating of large parties and a couple of picky eaters. Interesting menu with some standouts - lentil salad, salmon with a fennel sauce. Great vibe to the place all the time.
Well take 2 Ginkgo biloba and call me in the morning. I've been by here and even eaten here a time or two in the evening yet never knew they served such a good breakfast nor the name of the place.
Eggs Florentine, blue berry pancakes and a mimosa. Ah. Finally a great breakfast close to home. I can ride my bicycle here and after a breakfast like that will need to ride much farther to work it off. Eat inside with comfortable seating and a/c or enjoy the fresh air outside and watch the people walking around.
A menu for everyone with a cheap and simple eggs and toast to the breakfast budge and diet breaker that I had and more.
Green Street is pretty cool. Its open air, which is great, but if you want to soke up some AC, the inside has a really unique baroque sort of decor. The food was good, decently priced and the service was very good. I haven't been here for breakfast/brunch yet, but I hear it is awesome. Thursday and Friday nights are fun at Green Street too (generally).
Update: Went here for brunch this weekend, very reasonably priced but nothing spectacular about the food, its sort of hard to mess up eggs. Its nice to sit outside and people watch in the Grove.

greenstreet is one of the best go-to places in all of miami!
the indoor area is nice but outdoor seating is what its all about. the bar area is great with nice plush red couches and tv (for sports fans).
its full at all hours, brunch, lunch, dinner, late night drinks, and somehow there is never a long wait, dont know how they do it. i almost always bump into someone i know here... since its so popular.
ive been going here for years and it never gets old. the burgers and hummus are awesome. but the pasta and salads are also reallly good.
breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and they do it well!!
the prices are reasonable for the serving size and quality of food.
basically you cant go wrong.
Yeah, only went there in the evening. So my opinion is valid only when considering nightlife, but I was not impressed. The layout was ineffective. Everyone was crowded up at the outdoor bar, but the inside had huge vacant spaces and the bathroom line was long.
Seated in the corner across from a french restaurant, both restaurants compete for customer servers on standby by the street calling to people walking by. Eventually it was decided the green st cafe because they served pasta. I ordered the linguini and clams in red wine sauce. The pasta and sauce were good, there were plenty of clams in the pasta six with shells and the rest without I thought it was a nice touch and I was surprised to fish more and more clams out of the pasta.
I love this place! I've only been here at night. It gets pretty busy on Friday nights. People just lounge around on the red couches with drinks or grab something to eat on their regular tables outside. Inside they have a bar and more couches. The services there is very good, our waiter was very attentive. This is definately a locals hangout.
I'm surprised nobody has reviewed this place yet. Green Street Cafe has a reputation in Miami for serving hearty and healthy fare - hence the word "Green" in its name! It is a site of many "green" organizations' meetings (probably also because it's in the greenest part of Miami - the Grove).
Additionally there was an "art" market going on when I was there on Sunday - I'm not sure yet if it happens every Sundays. I met a friendly artist by the entrance who was painting on wood canvas. He hails from Las Vegas and calls Miami his second home.
Anyways, enough of the greenery - I came here for last Sunday brunch because I've heard from several folks that it was better than Deli Lane. And my verdict? It's neck to neck, with everything at Green Street Cafe being a dollar and few cents more.
I had the Nova Benedict, which is similar to the salmon benedict at Deli Lane. It was good, but for the benedict itself, I would rather go with Deli Lane - even though Green Street's benedict was much bigger and heavier. But it was the flavor of the salmon benedict at Deli Lane that won me over - with spinach, not so heavy on the sauce, etc.
However, the sides of the potatoes that came with the benedicts - Green Street's proved to be better.
What about the other selections? Their menu is big and other plates that went by my table looked good. While I would continue to go to Deli Lane for the benedict, I definitely would come back to Green Street Cafe for brunch to sample out the other goods!
The service was slow though, but when other staff members noticed, they tried to accommodate us despite their busy schedule - so I know bad service is not an acceptable standard at this restaurant.
And kudos to the friendly hostess that knows how to sign!
Note: there's a city-owned parking lot around the corner of this place so don't fret about finding parking (even though it isn't free).
