So I was in Cocoa Beach for a conference, and wanted a departure from the hotel food everyone else was eating. A buddy and myself found this place on Yelp, and decided to check it out. 'Twas a very good decision.
The food was excellent and the vibe was laid back. You know those meals that you eat, when you feel healthy after you're done? Yea. This is one of those restaurants. It's a tad bit pricey, but worth it. I'm not even vegetarian/vegan/octo-lavo-vegaterian, whatever, but I didn't even miss the meat at this place... Wait. That came out wrong. Anyways, check this place out if you want some delicious grub. The wheatgrass shots are HIGHLY recommended! -

It's one of those places that has a menu full of "almost" vegan food.
When you try to order something without the cheese or honey, you hear the record screech to a halt and everything goes silent.
The food is edible, but nothing too awesome. Sysco products are used.
So weird when an otherwise vegetarian place puts tuna on their menu. It's a pretty unethical choice with horrible implications on our ecosystem. -

It was so refreshing to see this place pop up! I have been coming to Cocoa Beach for 20+ years to visit family and eating out was always challenging as a vegetarian. I was usually limited to salads.
There was ample street parking and it's in a great location.
I like that they have an entire smoothie menu and plenty of hearty healthy salads to choose from. I got the Inlet sandwich and it was delicious. I wasn't thrilled with the prices, to be honest. $9+ for a sandwich and chips and salsa seemed as pricey as a run of the mill NY specialty shop and the portions didn't necessarily make up for it, either. Regardless, the sandwich was delicious. They have a lot of gluten free options, too! -

Only had time to order take out, but what a great place! Everything was fresh and delicious- the staff was very friendly while we waited for our order to be prepared. I am looking forward to visiting again on my next trip to Cocoa Beach!

I had the Spanish ____ sandwich. It was phenomenal. I wasn't sure if I wanted it but then I over heard the waitress tell another table that it was her favorite dish. I'm so glad I ordered it!

The only reason it's four stars instead of five was that the service was a little haphazard. To be fair, there was an arts festival going on, and the restaurant was immoderately busy. And the entire staff was very friendly and helpful when we could get hold of them.
The restaurant is cute, small and devoted to tasty organic food. I had the tofu reuben, which sounds odd but was delicious. I used to love reubens before I became a vegetarian (decades ago now); that sandwich was a homecoming. This is definitely a small local business that I would support often if I lived in Cocoa Beach. -

Just went back for lunch after my first visit over a year and a half ago. Still just as good and a real find in a town lacking for quality food let alone food for a vegan like me. While not a vegan restaurant it does serve quality food for anyone looking for a good meal in a neat little place.

Cape Canaveral, FL
This place is seriously impressive. Let me first say, I am simply a fan of fantastic food. I am not a vegan, and although I do care about my health and eating well, I don't deny myself (I love my bacon, butter, and hamburgers). I only say this because I feel like this place might have otherwise alienated or intimidated someone like me, but because I was introduced to it in a pub by a friend, I can say that objectively - having nothing to do with the health aspect - their food and service is fantastic and well worth the experience.
So far, I have had the Malibu shake, bean soup, the sunset tuna sandwich, and the Bondi. As I said before, I first had their food through a friend. I didn't know what I was eating or look at their menu. My friend ordered the Bondi for me (and no, I still have no idea what Quorn is). What I do know is that this giant meat(?) tortilla thing is delicious. It had the ooziest, meltiest cheese with the nicest spices, and heartiest black beans and rice. It is enough food for a late lunch and no dinner, a very stick-to-your-ribs food. They serve it with blue corn chips and a salsa that is also quite good. The tuna sandwich was quite fulfilling as well, fresh and classic. The Malibu is a coconut and mango shake and is also quite delicious. Still, the star so far is the Bondi, and I would easily have another and another!
Beyond the food, the staff are really, really nice. I know how service can make or break a cafe like this, and I have to say, everyone I have ever come in contact with associated with the Green Room is awesome. I called one morning from work at a local bar. After not packing a sandwich, I learned after I got in that I was working a double (no lunch or dinner). So, I was kind of stuck and admittedly a little cranky. The woman on the other end of the phone was incredibly nice and helped me figure out what to order without the menu in front of me. She drove my lunch to me at work and it was still warm! I was so excited that it completely made my day. Really, that makes their cafe that much more extraordinary. -

Just superb place. Healthy food, friendly service and close to the beach. I like all the surfing vids and the decor of the place!
Did not quite understand all the religious paper postings near the kitchen but whatever! -

We really enjoyed our lunch here and would come back for sure. We had the shorebreak smoothie and the flavors were great, but it was too thick to drink. Needed more ice and then a bigger glass. We also got the ruebio and spanish house sandwiches. They were wonderful! Husband could have gone for a little bigger portion though, next time he'll try a wrap as they look larger than the sandwiches. We also tried a brownie and a chocolate covered mousse dessert and they were both quite tasty. One thing that surprised us was that there isn't a bike rack at an organic restaurant. Really tasty tofu sandwiches though!

If you need something healthy and yummy, this is the place. Staff is helpful, decor is cool, Anisa is adorable, sweet and knows the menu inside out. Can't remember the last time I had a shot of wheatgrass. Smoothies galore too. As the Arnold says: "I'll be back!"
Love the surf theme, eat in the area where the bar is and enjoy surf movies. And for those who don't surf, the green room is inside the tube of a wave, the ultimate place in the world for a surfer. -

I went there twice while on vacation in Cocoa Beach after reading the great reviews on Yelp.
It is a small cozy restaurant that serves great food and provides excellent service. Everything that we tried was delicious and fresh. I had the J-Bay and the Yogi wraps. I like that all the wraps and sandwiches come with chips and salsa - really good spicy salsa.
Def worth trying!!!! -

Everything is organic and fresh and delicious! The wait staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Right away she asked if we were vegetarian and pointed out items we may want or want to avoid. I thought the prices were a little high, but everything is so fresh and of course, organic is more expensive, but also, the portions were generous enough to share. The tofu on my sandwich was seasoned nicely and had a good, firm texture. I wish we had a place like this in Orlando.

Awesome find. I was in town working with the Canaveral Port Authority, and it was nice to take a local lady to Green Room today for lunch. As a vegan, the menu was exciting... I kept it to look at while we ate so I could pick what smoothie I wanted to-go.
The salsa was homemade, my wrap was over-flowing with fresh veggies. I took half my lunch to-go, and when I finish this review I'm going to finish it. YUM.
A solid cafe. I wish we had one like it in Tampa.
Eat well,

YuM!
I had the Green Room Cafe on my list of places to try when I went to Cocoa Beach, and I'm glad I stopped in. It's a cute, cozy little place (emphasize little - tables in every available space, and little room for people/waitstaff to move around without dancing around one another).
It was busy at 2:30 on a Saturday, with all tables full and about 6 people waiting for tables when I got in. I got my J-Bay wrap to go; the owner (?)/manager took my order and she was nice, upbeat, interacting with customers, and serving tables.
The J-Bay was filling and DELISH! The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the fact that there was tons of parsley in the salsa... I had to pick chunks of parsley bunches out.
$7 and some change for a huge burrito-sized wrap + blue corn tortilla chips + salsa, and all organic/vegetarian ingredients. I love that I was able to eat healthy without sacrificing feeling satisfied! Too bad I'm leaving tomorrow, or I would definitely eat another meal here. -

If more businesses likened themselves to the Green Room, the world would simply be a better place. I am not embellishing.
I cannot stress it more: this is one of the most impressive dining establishments I have been to in a long time.
-A varied menu of delectable items that you can't find elsewhere (& that are actually good for your body)
-fun, original interior design
-Kind, Personable service
-Great serving sizes
-Reasonable cost!
Try any one of the wraps, a Acai bowl, or one of my favorites The Green Room smoothie.
If you're looking for deep fried chicken fingers you won't find it; but please open up to this new, fresh, healthy menu of delicious foods. This is food, not food-shaped-objects that some "restaurants" try to feed you. I WISH there was a place like Green Room where I lived. -

Very good healthy food. I had a cup of black beans and rice, the "coastal" salad, and a "bluebird" smoothie. The beans and rice were great, and the coastal salad was very good, although there was a bit too much of the toppings and not enough lettuce. The smoothie was so-so, it was a bit watery.
The service was very friendly. I'd definitely go back. -

I tried this out today after reading about it on Yelp. Glad we did. I had the Ruebio sandwich. It was a Reuben made of grilled tofu, kraut, crisp cucumbers, Swiss cheese & 1000 island dressing. I was hesitant to try it, but it turned out to be delicious. It comes with chips and salsa. My daughter had the Inlet sandwich: Quorn mushroom patty, mayo, lettuce, sprouts, tomato & carrot and vegan cheese. She said it tasted like a Wendy's chicken sandwich, but way better and healthier. The menu is mostly vegetarian and vegan with a bit of tuna and chicken thrown in there for carnivores. It's definitely worth trying next time you're at Cocoa Beach.

Even if you're not a vegetarian...
You will love the food here. Everything tastes delicious and you know it's all good for you, just watch your portions, as I had a wrap here that was bigger than my head. Adorably cute on the inside, and parking is easy with a lot next to the restaurant. I really enjoy this place. -

I came to Cocoa Beach for the last launch of the Space Shuttle Endeavour. Cocoa Beach is a great place for restaurants if you like highly processed animal products and industrial strength transfats etc. I found this through Yelp (thank you thank you) and twitter. I had a big wrap for lunch and I brought it back to the hotel and just had the leftovers for dinner. I unwrapped the leftover wrap and the ingredients were fresh and top notch, esthetically pleasing, and highly entertaining to eat! Good food in Cocoa Beach. Who would have thought?

Date Visited: Thursday 11/12/09 (Dinner)
After a long day of driving from Orlando to Merritt Island and then off to Cocoa Beach, we were in desperate need of some nourishment. We were told that the Green Room Cafe was just down the street of our last stop and once we got a Take Out menu and a very enthusiastic owner promise to tap dance for us if we came back, we decided we'd have dinner there. We went to the beach for a few minutes and took in the cute little kitties we found under a walkway before heading back to the Green Room Cafe.
The cafe owner (?), Debbie, was great. She took great care of us and made sure that we knew vegan options were available for whatever we wanted.
I ordered an Amazon Cherry Immunity smoothie and a J-Bay Wrap with soy sour cream on the side. First, the smoothie was thick and delicious. I nursed it the entire meal because I didn't want it to be gone unti tlhe end (though I could have gulped it down as soon as I got it). Next, the wrap. My father commented on the weight of his wrap and when I lifted my own (mind you, it was one-half of the actual wrap), I understood how one could be impressed with the weight.
The wrap contained corn, zucchini, black beans, brown rice, and other goodies. I can't believe what a pig I am - I finished the whole thing. It puts the weight of a Chipotle burrito to shame and I'm sure it's more filling. It's served with blue corn chips and salsa. You will not need more food and you will not be hungry for hours and hours afterwards. For $7.25, you can't go wrong. Go and tell Debbie that this vegan told you to stop by and check them out. Wish I had tried the vegan German Chocolate Cake out, but who has the stomach room after a meal like I had?! -

Cocoa Beach, FL
Top-notch Vegetarian. Seriously - the only and best place to eat veggie in Cocoa Beach. I would highly recommend for everyone who needs a healthy meal! A few recommendations - the Acai bowls are amazing, try the Sambazon Cherry; The wraps are bigger than the sandwiches; Ask for the Chipotle sauce behind the counter; Get the veggie chili with "the works" (onions and cheese); Be prepared to wait for the smoothies because they take longer to make when its busy... Closed Sundays.

The food here is pretty good and the service was awesome. Everyone was very happy with. Desserts are massive, but the carrot cake is the thing I remember most. If you go there make sure you get that (even if it means not ordering dinner or sharing dinner). Everyone loved the atmosphere and we all enjoyed the food.

Gluten free substitutes! Everything is a wrap, a sandwich, or a salad. We ate here twice in a 24 hour span. I ordered the hummus wrap, with a gluten free wrap. It was DELICIOUS. Stuffed with fresh veggies. The wrap itself was excellent, it wasn't plain, boring gf. My son ordered from the children's menu, and ate everything. The chips are great, the salsa so fresh and tasty. They have Blue Sky soda, so we ordered root beers. The vanilla bean cheesecake was good too. So happy we got real veggies while on vacation. Plus, it's close to the beach. The coffee wasn't anything to shout about, that's my only complaint.

In an area surrounded by Ron Jon's and tourists, the Green Room Cafe is a great get away. The restaurant is small and has a surfing motif...shocker. As a meat eater, I was worried I would not find anything to eat. I was wrong. The Sunset Sandwich was amazing. They use pouch tuna instead of canned. While a bit on the pricey side, it is worth the money.

Calling all vegetarians! Good veggie food is not easy to find. I should know as I have been a vegetarian for over 20 years. The Green Room has a friendly staff and awesome food at excellent prices. My group had three dishes (wraps and sandwiches). All wete great. Home made salsa and dressings and deserts. Cozy little place off the main drag. Interesting dishes and drinks.

Delicious food! I'm not a vegetarian, so I was pleasantly surprised to find chicken on the menu. I opted instead for a delicious tuna sandwich platter. Great food, pleasant service. A little slow to refill my drink, but overall a great meal. I'll definitely go back.

Awesome. We were glad we found this cafe on Yelp. Our sandwiches were excellent. I had the Sunset Sandwich which is a tuna sandwich with apple, sprouts, and carrots. It tasted so fresh and went great with the Xingu Brazilian beer I ordered. Girlfriend had The Vejjo (veggie patty) nd raved about it. Great addition to Cocoa Beach...I hope they continue to do well. Very friendly waitstaff.

First time visit today. WOW. The best salad ever!!! I actually took a picture of it, it was so beautiful--wish I could post it here. Anyway, I had scoops of tuna, hummus, and tabouli--Tres Palmas, it's called. Mixed greens, sprouts, red cabbage, carrots, and ripe lovely tomato slices. With the ginger-wasbi dressing. Everything was super-fresh. Portion too large for me to finish and I took it home--which I never do with salads, but it was so good I couldn't bear to leave it. And they gave me extra dressing. I will be back, and back. The menu is exciting for anyone who wants delicious, healthy food. Great service and good vibes. YAY.

Finally a place to eat out at Cocoa Beach! As an Orlando resident who goes to Cocoa when I need a weekend beach excursion, I usually bring my own snacks and food if I'm staying overnight at a hotel or suite on the beach. After going vegan I wondered if there were any vegan-friendly places to eat and found this little gem on Yelp. My sister and I stopped in to grab lunch before driving back to Orlando this past Monday and had a delicious experience. She ordered the the Golden Fold wrap and I had the J-bay wrap. Everything was tasty and healthy and the salsa was amazing as well, so good and made fresh. As we were waiting for our order, a staff member came over to the family of four next to us and told them that they have a "pay it forward" system where they get to choose a table per shift to give a free meal to and that she had chosen their table. I will definitely be going back next time I'm in the area.

Located in a town with an abundance of seafood, the Green Room Cafe (previously Cafe Surfinista) promotes optimal health and wellness with a wide variety of fresh fruit smoothies and energizing Acai bowls, greens mixed with nutritious fruits and nuts, daily soup specials, veggie-packed sandwiches and wraps, and gluten-free baked goods. I was wowed by the Tropical Bowl and my friends enjoyed the Inlet's quorn mushroom patty- texture and taste reminiscent of chicken, and Vejjo- the restaurant's take on a veggie burger. My food pics are at http://www.itsallfare....
