Green Lake Dental has moved downstairs to totally upgraded, posh digs. It is truly beautiful. There's even a cute little "cave" area for kids to play in with a little TV that plays kids movies (at least I think it does - I couldn't squeeze my extralargeness in there to confirm.

Dr. Ross has retired, and Dr. Meghan has joined the practice with the wonderful Dr. Sarah. All the other awesome hygienists are the same - as is the friendly and competent front desk staff.

We recently took our one year old to see Dr. Sarah for her First Ever Dentist Appointment. She loved it so much she didn't want to leave.

I've had very mixed experiences here.  I had a cavity filled 6 months ago.  Which was abnormally painful.  After, I complained of irritation when flossing.  I went back and the recommended solution was to smooth out the roughness.  She mentioned it was probably ligaments realigning.  I went back today (with the irritation still there), and apparently the filling now needs to be replaced.  The dentist saying she may have missed a spot.  On top of that, I went in for a cleaning and they didn't floss my teeth, saying that they were running late for the next appointment.  I won't be going back.  I'm headed to a dentist I trust does excellent work.

I am new to Seattle and when a sudden toothache arose, I found myself in serious need of a good dentist- and fast. Green Lake Dental was just that! I chose this office because of two things: 1) its right down the street from my apartment, and 2) Yelp! :)

Not only did they get me into their office within 36 hours of my call (it wasn't an emergency appointment by any means, but I was in pain) but they were super genuine!

Dr. Sarah was incredibly friendly and such a great listener! Compared to my last dentist (who I loved, but he wasn't an overly talkative fella) this woman is just so kind and warm.  The same goes for the dental hygenist I was working with (sorry, I just can't remember her name!)

The atmosphere is one word: beautiful! Very clean, bright, and the equipment looks oh-so-new. This is no old-school office!

My husband has scheduled his next cleaning at this office, and mine will soon be coming up. This is a great office! 5 stars!

Every person I interacted with at this office was the friendliest person I have ever met. I was a little nervous to go since I recently moved to the area and hadn't seen a dentist in at least 3 1/2 years. But the whole experience was absolutely wonderful!
I have had some bad experiences with fillings in the past (such as not enough anesthesia and doctors who wouldn't listen). I just got a filling today at Green Lake Dental Care and all my dentist fears are gone. Dr. Meghan told me what was going on the whole time and made sure that I was comfortable.
They also worked talked to my insurance before I came in to ensure that my procedures would be adequately covered before I had them done.
I would recommend Green Lake Dental Care to anyone. Easily the best dental experience of my life. I couldn't imagine anything better!

I typically find myself at dental offices that are super lavish: waiting rooms with 5 kajillion magazines and flat screen televisions, leather chairs and Laura Ashley pillows and exam rooms with virtual glasses for movie watching.  Well, no more.  I am forever glad I switched to an old-school office that reminds me of my childhood.

I finally decided what comes with an old-school office is genuine knowledge, genuine customer service and money better spent on taking care of ME rather than an interior decorator and the latest gadgets to make me feel fancy.  Because in the end, that money spent by the office is going to come out of my pocket anyway. I should thank Dr. Fraker's office for helping me see the err in my ways.

Tina, my hygienist, is a trip.  Not only did she school me on Astrology while cleaning my teeth, but she made it obvious she seriously knows her stuff.  In fact, I asked her when she herself was going to be a dentist, because the lady is ready for the exams.  She laughed my compliments off, telling me she's happy doing what she does and has no plans to wear the white coat.  Lucky for me, I get her expertise and thoroughness in addition to a great dentist.  Dr. Sarah (there are 2 Frakers here, Sarah and her dad) is kind and thoughtful and gentle.

I no longer have Dentist-fear, which is what was foolishly pushing me towards those Vegas Casino-type offices.  I don't need fillings this time, but should it happen in the future, I'm totally glad I have a great office of people to put me at ease during the fearful process.

A major bonus to this office is Linda at the front desk. She researches your insurance before you arrive to assure things like X-rays will be covered, should you need to have them done. I like knowing someone has my back and is on top of the things that I worry over without me having to lift a finger.

I also left with a parting gift: a toothbrush, floss, a FULL size tube of toothpaste and a travel sized one too.  Best of all, I left with feeling a sense of relief. The dentist doesn't have to be a horrible experience. I know now that my chompers are in good hands.

I didn't realize how crappy my last dentist was until I had a crappy painful crown done by Sarah (Dr. Fraker).  Everyone here rocks. State of the art equipment.

Office staff alreadys knows my name. Can't say enough. Go there. Even for fun! Ask about some elective tooth procedures just to expereince the pleasantness!

Shout-out to Dr. Ross, Dr. Sarah, Linda the receptionist, and Jill the dental hygienist!

Many people are afraid of the dentist. For some reason, I've never been afraid of dentists - I like to think of it as going in for a tooth massage. When you look at it like that, it's possible to actual enjoy a dental cleaning.

I chose Green Lake Dental based on the Yelp reviews, and have been extremely pleased. The care, customer service, atmosphere, everything - just great. My husband also loves them.

I had to have two cavities filled and a minor gum flap cut away, and this took place over 2 appointments. As it worked out, this was one with Dr. Sarah and one with Dr. Ross. Note, both are called Dr. Fraker - it's a father and daughter practice - so yes, first names make it easier. Also note, both doctors are brilliant with oral health.

If you're scared, the staff will make you comfortable with massaging chairs, soft music, and reassuring attitudes. If you're weird like me, they will enthusiastically show you all of the tools they use and discuss dental science with you. I love being able to look at my x-rays and ask questions about them. Even more than that, I love getting an answer instead of a patronizing brush-off. The Frakers and the staff have a clear interest in what they do, and it carries through to their fantastic work.

I've recommended them to several other people, and will continue to do so.

Who doesn't hate the dentist?  SRSLY.

I got a recommendation to visit Dr. (Ross) Fraker from people at work - I'm so glad I took their advice.  The staff at the front desk (especially Linda) are terrific, and always take the time to listen to me when I call.

Dr. Fraker is *amazing*.  You can tell he's experienced, and somehow just seemed to know that talking to me during my filling would help calm me down.  They were running a bit late due to an emergency - and apologized profusely.  Super polite and all-around great people.

Tina cleaned my teeth, and boy, did she do a good job.  I don't think my face has ever felt that clean before.

I appreciate that they still do things 'the old fashioned way' in some areas - Tina wasn't afraid to get in-between my teeth with a good old-fashioned pick.  The office is a bit older - but I feel somewhat better that my monies aren't just going towards rent and exotic fish.

After my initial visit, Linda pulled up m insurance information and mailed me a complete treatment plan, with total costs for each of my options (regular fillings vs. composites).

I just can't get over how great of an experience I continue to have with these guys.

When I moved to Seattle I tried one of those dentists downtown on the 50-somethingth floor of one of those bank buildings. It had been a few years since I'd been to the dentist and the billing lady literally laughed and got all excited when she saw what kind of money they planned on extracting from me.

Not long after that one visit at the downtown dentist I found Greenlake Dental Care with Dr. Fraker (I see Dr. Sarah, the daughter of Dr. Ross). Everyone is really nice and the rates are great. I've assumed that Dr. Sarah is inheriting the practice from her father, as it is an older office, but I enjoy the fact that this is a continuing family practice and the likelihood that skills and experience are being passed down.

My first root canal/crown experience was pain free which was surprising considering the way people reacted whenever I told them what I was going to the dentist for.

I admit, I loved my dentist on the east coast.  He was the absolute bee's knees.  Is is strange to have a crush on a man who puts his hands in my mouth?

That being said, Dr. Sarah Fraker hasn't disappointed me.  I chose her practice based on Yelp reviews, my dental insurance provider list and geographical accessibility.  I don't feel cheated or pained after I visit her office.  They don't have all of the fancies that some dental offices have incorporated -- HD video of the inside of my mouth, massages, etc. -- but the staff is friendly and good at what they do.

I love Dr. Ross and Dr. Sarah. Dr. Ross has been my dentist for the past 10 years.(  it's been ten years that a poor black stepchild from the country once dreamed of living near Greenlake and vowed," One day I too shall live here, walk around this lake and eat ice cream at Baskin Robbins!" Well kids that little girl was me and her dream did come true. So she found a dentist. On one of my first visits, his hygienist took me to her other place of employment ( above Long Drugs in Northgate) to show me all of the spiroketes in my mouth! Yuck and strangely exciting like Baron Harkonen's skin lesions. Oh yes back to the dentist.
Yes, everyone at the front desk is helpful and friendly. Dr. Ross and Dr. Sarah also took out my molars which took about 4 hrs,but it was kinda fun b/c I did get some Novocaine. Not as fun as when I had morphine and  I saw the white balloon people and I thought the nurses were going to kill me,but it gets the job done and of course my life was spared!

My usual dentist was out of town when I broke a tooth, just before a scheduled vacation.  Bummer.  Frantic calls to friends for recommendations yielded nothing, as it was a Friday afternoon.  But, at Green Lake Dental they worked me in and it was GREAT!  I saw Dr. Meghan Crawford, she did an exam, assured me that I'd be fine for my trip, but would need a crown when I return.  They "could" have done anything as I was a little apprehensive about traveling with a broken tooth.  It would have been an easy buck.  Instead, they took the high road, did a great exam, and were super friendly in the process.
PLUS they have an amazing new office at 1818 Green Lake Dr., right next to the old office.  I hope the other reviewer on here won't be disappointed that they now do have flat screen televisions, etc.  It's beautiful.  And so are they.  Thanks Lynda at the front desk, Stephanie the assistant, and Dr. Crawford!

My boyfriend went here and I was looking for a new dentist so I decided to try it out since he had said very nice things. I just went last week and was really impressed. The ladies at the front desk were very nice and made me feel comfortable. Dr. Sarah just bought the practice from her dad, Dr. Fraker but he still works there part-time. Dr. Sarah just had a baby and will be out for a few months so Dr. Fraker will be working full-time until she's back. So, I haven't met Dr. Sarah yet but her father was super nice. They are very casual and laid back which makes you feel comfortable right away. Dr. Fraker was wearing a Hawaiian t-shirt :o) My hygienist was very nice as well. I have to go back to have some old fillings replaced and the ladies at the front desk printed me out a form that told me exactly how much it was going to cost so that was nice! I've found my dentist.

I would not recommend going to Green Lake Dental Care.  I hadn't been to the dentist in awhile and chose Green Lake Dental Care because it was convenient.  The hygenist was awesome, however the dentist only spent about 30 seconds looking at my teeth and told me I had 4 cavities.  I have only had a few cavities in my life and the way he said it made all my instincts tell me he was lying.  He said they were all shallow cavities and that I could come over two appointments to get them filled.  Why would I need two apt. to fill 4 small cavities?  Money!  I felt like I was being lied to and right away did not trust him.
I waited 6 months and went to another highly recommended dentist who took xrays and spent about 10 minutes looking at my xrays and my teeth and he confirmed that I in fact had 0 cavities.
I right away did not trust the dentist at Green Lake Dental and my instincts turned out to be 100% correct.  Highly recommend finding another dentist.
