We went into the nursery at 415 Meridian. Wow, I have past there many times and now I am glad I finally went in. They have turned this into a tropical paradise. We plan on having them come out to at least do part of our yard. It is so serene and calming just walking through this beautiful garden. Everyone needs a place like this to relax and unwind.
Amazing, owner is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Very different plants arranged so artfully, yet natural. We will be returning often. -

Stumbled upon this place on Christmas Eve with my mom, grandmother and daughter. We were just trippin around the Alameda and my daughter saw the flowers and asked if we could go in. So we did.
What a surprise this place was. Felt like we were on vacation somewhere tropical. Beautiful plants, design, lighting, fountains, statues. Kept saying "I wish my back patio was like this!". Would have been awesome to sit by the koi pond/fountain sipping a coffee.
The gentleman working was very nice. Let us rome around and didn't pester us. Had a question about a succulent and he new right away what we were talking about and didn't have to go look to see what plant was in question.
Would love to win the lottery and have them come design my gardens! HA! Items were out of my price range, but I didn't think they were overpriced. -

Plants plants and more plants!
This place is filled with plants and garden decor... would make any gardener or garden gnome happy in plant heaven.
The owner was super nice on the phone and helpful on giving me directions! -

You really have to see this place for yourself. The orchid wall. The skylights. The parrots. The humidity.
I'll agree with everyone: God, I hope this place makes it. Very helpful owners with an encyclopedic knowledge of botany. Literally no landscaping/interior decorating/plant purchase is to small to get their undivided attention.
The furious morena had spotted a succulent a week or two ago that wasn't in stock. Based on a vague description (red, yea big) they knew exactly what we were talking about and promised to secure us our own the next time they meet that particular distributor. This my not sound amazing, but if you see the variety of plants they have in stock, yikes.
While I doubt I'll need a full plantscaping in my 1BR, this place has become my go-to spot for the few indoor/outdoor plant needs I have. And on small purchases the price isn't really much of a factor.
Elementary schools will start taking field trips here. Just awesome. -

After having lunch at the store next door, I visited this place just to "check it out".... OMG!!! What a sight to behold!!! Visually speaking, you'd never seen anything like it. The owners are trying to introduce "plant landscaping"... if you don't know what that is, pay a visit.
The decor features some of the most unusual designs. From towering bamboo plants with aviary birds in cages floating in mid-air to a wall completely covered with live orchids, the different areas of the business introduces the customer to re-think interior design. Asian-inspired themes as well as well-placed fountains and decor bekons the customer to take some "time-out". There's something to be said for the plants! -

This place is absolutely delightful. It is kind of unexpected. You can't quite believe the inside exists based on what you see outside (not that it looks bad or anything).
It's very Zen, and I probably enjoyed it even more based on the day I was having. Nothing could have been more calming and peaceful. Lovely environment. As I wandered in, the owner (?) politely offered help should I require it. She mostly left me alone, which was terrific. When I did have a couple of questions, she was helpful and knowledgeable.
As I walked around, I heard some gentle and soothing chirping. I thought perhaps she had a parakeet, but it was subtle enough that I began to wonder if it wasn't just some tape playing for atmosphere. Imagine my surprise, particularly being a parrot owner myself, when I found 3 African greys hanging out together right in the front of the store. I've had some experience with these guys, and while they can be quiet, they can also be quite talkative and/or produce sounds with an irritating pitch. Furthermore, a group of birds (or other animals) also tends to make more noise, as they play off of one another. Maybe they, too, could sense the Zen atmosphere of the place. (Or maybe I just caught them at a good time.) Still, I think I'll sneak back in here when nobody's looking and either swap out a couple of my parrots for some of hers, or possibly arrange to have mine visit for long enough to acquire some manners.
Cons:
I'd have liked more variety in the plants offered.
The prices were completely out of my range. Couldn't even afford to splurge here.
Bird cages much too small, but it appears they are not confined for much of the day. -

San Jose, CA
This place is beeeeautiful...the ambiance, the colors, the freshness...and even the birds! This is a great place to check out if you're a plant/flower/landscaping lover, or even if you just want to check out their scenery. The staff were super helpful. I was looking for a gift for a plant lover and they were able to help me with the care and types of plants available for the person and place I described. Kind of pricey and lots of tropical and Asian-inspired themes...but there is something for everyone here. I plan to return.

San Jose, CA
Gorgeous and smartly designed place to find great plants and decor! Didn't realize I spent an hour in there checking it out. Would have given five stars except for the higher prices but they do have some unusual and unique stuff. Staff is friendly, ready to answer questions, knowledgeable about their plants.

Beautiful large plants that are arranged to make you feel like you're in a Japanese tea garden or some similar location. I couldn't believe the lushness (is that a word?) of the greenery. I almost forgot I was looking to buy some plants as I was mesmerized by the peacefulness while shopping. What a pleasant change!

It was a hot summer day and I was wondering in downtown San Jose. the yellow building with green design sign caught my eyes. I walked in to take a look. It was amazing; lots of plants and beautiful orchids. All are well decorated. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable about plants. I just fell in love with the place. I definitely recommend this place to my friends and everyone I know.

I just went to their new, outdoor nursery on Meridian Ave in San Jose yesterday, and even though they're still settling in, it is wonderful. I got excellent help and advice from John, one of the owners, and my daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed walking through all of the plants and discovering the "secret" back corner. They seem to focus more on tropicals and succulents, but there are plenty of camellias and citrus (covered with fruit) in there, too. John is a landscape architect, and said he'll be getting new, interesting plants often. Highly recommend!

the interior of the store is quite nice - but when i saw them cutting down CITY owned branches and sell them in their store - it was a total turn off! they have no respect for their neighbors or neighborhood, when i quested them about it they got very nervous. it's shameful.
