I want to update my review again. I have been extremely satisfied with the chemical peeling (6 sessions) that Sveta suggested as a follow up to extractions. After only 2 peelings I can walk in the street without having to put on tons of makeup. Note to self: continue using the products every day and night, otherwise the results will not be visible.

As usual, I wish I could give 3.5 stars... but I just can't quite spring for 4.
I recently moved to San Francisco and obviously have to start re-building my list of go-to places for Brazilian waxes. I am kind of a deal whore, so I purchased a discounted wax through Trubates.
The salon itself was nice and clean and felt professional. Svetlana used hard wax for the majority of the Brazilian, which is nice because it hurts less. She finished up with regular wax to get all of the shorter hairs, which I am totally fine with. Overall, I felt like it was a very thorough wax; however when I got home I noticed she missed a pretty big patch, which drives me CRAZY. I realize that I probably need to examine the area more thoroughly while I'm still on the table... but come on! Anyway, I will give her the benefit of the doubt and chalk it up to an honest mistake.
Svetlana said she would email me if she was ever offering any specials and I would definitely go back if she does. Sadly, its just too easy to get a deal on a wax for me to pay $65 every month for a wax.Listed in: Brazilian Waxing in SF

Beware... The only reason all the reviews are positive is that if you post a negative review she calls and asks you to remove it.
She was pushy with products, after a few visits I felt obligated to buy some. They absolutely did not work for me (i actually broke out in a rash), after some online research I found the line of products she sells are not hypoallergenic, they contain known irritants and have so-so to poor ratings. A lot of people have the same reaction I did. I called to ask if I could return them. I was told no!
Upon a negative yelp review I got another call telling me I could return the products if I removed the review.
Shadyyyy!
Not to mention shes just generally rude and blunt.
Please dont bother calling me again, this review stays up!

Dear Svetlana,
your photos are plastered all over yelp, I am absolutely certain it was you, I went to you more than once. (for anyone doubting me, you must sign in when you go to the building on sutter street, take an elevator up and Svetlana uses the GM collin line of products and has a thick russian accent). I just called to attempt to use my groupon and the woman was terribly rude to me. She refused to honor my groupon despite the fact that it has not yet expired, and she lectured me on waiting until the last minute. She refused to honor even the amount that I paid for the groupon toward the overall balance.

Svetlana is a miracle worker.
I have only seen her once and already my skin has noticeably improved. She really takes her time with facials -- in a good way. My first facial took about 2 hours. The products she uses by GM Collins are natural and don't dry out your skin. She convinced me that I should at least try them & I am glad I did! She's flexible with appointment times and will always call you back. If she's running late she will let you know that as well. Fantastic brazilian, because it's honestly a lot less painful than my usual (at silk on franklin). While I question the liberal use of the word organic on everything, the fact that it's a hard wax is probably what makes it better. Svetlana will be all up in your business like it's nobody's business, but hey, she's thorough. The only complaint I had is that the whole time she kept trying to sell me her products. Literally every time she set the wax to dry, she'd walk over to her shelf and walk back with a new product to try and sell me.

The most painless brazilian I've had, period. I'm a huge fan of Svetlana, she's professional and extremely through. The location is prime and the atmosphere is soothing and comfortable.
I'm pretty sure that I'll be going back to try out her facials.

This is hands down the best salon I've ever been to! Anyone thats ever had a brazlian knows how painful/awkard it can be. It is neither at this salon. Obviously there is pain involved with the process, but nothing to what I've experienced before. She is efficient and fast. I wouldn't even think of going to another salon, this is hands down the best in SF.

Green Apple salon is one of the hidden gems of SF.
Sveta is by far the best facial care specialist I have ever visited, and trust me I've been to many. She is a seasoned professional as she's been doing facials for 2 or 3 DECADES.
I have oily acne-prone skin that is hard to manage. With Svetlana's facials and products by GM Collin it now looks much better.
Her services and products are not cheap, but well worth it.
My $115 facial lasted over 90 mins and included:
* makeup removal
* deep exfoliation
* steam WITH NATURAL HERBS
* thorough extractions
* TWO masks (calming and anti-bacterial)
* high-frequency treatment
* hand massage with nourishing oils
* high frequency treatment
* neck and shoulder massage
* toner and moisturiser
It was a sheer indulgence. My skin felt and looked fabulous the next day. I refer all my girlfriends to Svetlana, and they rave about her. -

This is my favorite place in a long time to be introduced to. I am absolutely in love with Svetlana!!! She is spunky, gorgeous, youthful and a walking advertisement for her services (her skin is amazing!)
I went in for a Brazilian and was so happy with her services. I used to live in L.A. so for those of you who did as well, you know that L.A. pretty much sets the standard for brazilians and bikini waxes. This lady did such an amazing job. She used hard wax which was so much LESS pain and it was efficient and she was friendly and made you feel comfortable.
She does an amazing job and even mixes her own soothing oil to keep your skin soft and unirritated. I have NEVER felt my skin so soft, ever.
I love her and her price is worth it! I will definitely be coming back! -

Some people try to learn a trade and do it, while others have a gift. Svetlana was born with this gift. After her facials and massages, I step out feeling ten years younger. From the moment you enter her office, her good vibes put you in state of complete relaxation. Although she uses high quality products, I believe Svetlana herself is the difference between a good salon and a great one. Her friendliness and positive energy and special touch make my day.
One of the other great features is that she's located in the very center of downtown, right by the Stockton and Sutter Garage. This way, I can take a nice walk around, do some window shopping (or shopping), grab some coffee and make a whole day of the visit. -

The first time I went to see Svetlana it was totally last minute but she was able to fit me in somehow. My boyfriend was helping me in a rush and found her website online and showed it to me. I called and she squeezed me in the next day. Which gives her already a two thumbs up for being flexible. The first time I went to Svetlana it was for a brazillian. She makes you feel completely comfortable and eased into it. It can be an awkward experience, but it is never awkward with Svetlana. She talks to you about the procedures she is doing, what tools or wax she is using, and how to take care of everything after the procedure. She uses a hard blue wax which is much less painful. She makes sure she does a thorough job. She did an amazing job the first time! She is the best you will find. I also got my eyebrows and upper lip done by her. I have never gotten either waxed before, but it was virtually painless and she again does a thorough job and makes sure that you are pleased and asks for your input.
Svetlana has turned me into a regular. In the past 5 years, I have not gone to the same person twice. I have had brazilians all over california, from LA to Santa Barbara to SF. And I say she is the best I have ever come across. She does wonders at a decent price. Green Apple Skin Care Salon is definitely a secret gem in the city. Svetlana cares about her clients and really engages in them. You aren't just money walking in and out the door with her. You get quality from her. If you are looking for a quality, trustworthy place to go, see Svetlana and the Green Apple Skin Care Salon. She is a miracle worker!
I would give her more stars, but there aren't any more stars to give. A++
