I drove by this place the other day randomly to pick up a light meter from a craigslist sale. I immediately texted a friend and told her that I knew what we were going to do next time she is in town. It looks really bad ass from the highway in the middle of nowhere. That was last weekend and we went yesterday. Although it is way out there, it's kind of fun to drive over there, and past the historic China Grove city limit sign (doobies). It's pretty cool little area. We went to a Saloon next door after golf, and I have to recommend this gas station that has a meat market (lone oak grocery) and I've also bought about 5 scratchoff lotto tickets from there, and I'm up about 15 from the place. It has a reputation as a winner. It's a great area to just play it by ear and chill out. But, about the golf.

The putt-putt course is pretty cool. At first I thought it sucked for the first hole, but there are a bunch of really cool things that get you involved. There isn't a windmill or anything from the Simpsons putting episode, but there is one hole that is the coolest putt-putt hole I've ever been a part of. There was a ton of water, and the balls float, and water hazards are a real thing. They have little nets that you have to fish your ball out with. But on that one hole, there is a land bridge with no sides over a concrete river of water, but if you hit it in the water (thanks kids who told me this) the ball floats down the river, around the corner, over a grate and can go right in the hole. The girl I was with hit a hole in one, it was awesome!!!! Overall, great course. There were tons of people and mainly kids, but it was saturday, so I guess they were all having a birthday, but the pace of play was top notch and the course etiquette was very professional. The other one thing that kind of sucked was that all the holes had flags in them, which was a nice touch, but a real pain in the ass to bend over and pick up the flag every time.

They also have an outdoor painball thunderdome, go-carts that allow rubbing and racing, bumper boats, a batting cage and a bunch of pretty lame video game/ticket winning machines. But I didn't do any of that.

I would give them five stars if they sold beer.

While it seems like the forever drive to get out there, it is totally worth it. Your best bet is to exit Rigsby from 410 and go like you are driving to China Grove..and just keep going.LOL.  This place has a little bit of everything, and I suggest you checking out the website, b/c I am sure that I won't do it justice. We have gone and played Mini Golf a few times (they have 2 separate courses) and have done the batting cages as well. Their prices are outstanding, and because it's seemingly in the middle of nowhere, it's always empty...no one knows about it. They also have bumper boats, a massive trampoline, arcade, mini food court thing, and more more more. This place is seriously the very cool cousin of Malibu Grand Prix :)
