Oh the memories! You know it's been a great night when you're driving home and the sun is just coming up.
Back in the days of underage drinking and dancing at clubs till 4am, my posse and I took the after hour party to Greek Town Gyros! I have never been here during the day. Only around 4-6 am. And yes, there was a line filled with plenty of hungry customers.
My best friend told me they had the BEST chicken pita and cheese fries. I don't like cheese fries, but I tried it out to see what the fuss was about. DAMN!! Those were some good cheese fries. The saucy chicken pita was the perfect greasy food to fuel me after a night on the dance floor. Everyone we took here tried the pita/cheese fries and got hooked for life. Affordable, fast service, and oh so tasty!
I miss this place so much! Late nights of gossiping and meeting crazy characters at this joint.
I discovered them one day while working in that (oh, so up and coming coolness) known as the West Loop. And now I continue to make up a reason to visit this area just so I can get my GG fix! Down to earth, inexpensive and delicious. They have some nice daily specials, I highly recommend the Greek chicken that comes with potatoes and rice (carb it up, baby!) and savor the flavor of this Greektown wonder.
Relatively inexpensive place for some Greek fast food. Definitely a cut above the other greasy joints, which are just disgusting.
