Rode the bike over from the office, and was pleasantly surprised. Pretty solid greek food. I was looking around the strip mall for a place that would serve me food on anything but styrofoam (very difficult BTW). I noticed Greek Bites had little cardboard baskets and they agreed to put the Gyro and rice in a couple. Sold. Not only was the food very good, but good portions and the guys were very cool. Bring your own Saracha though, they never heard of it.

I used to come to this place for lunch like once a week. So yummy. It's your typical greek spot. Gryos, falafel, fries, yummy yogurt.
It's really good, cheap, and fast. Don't really have any complaints. It's pretty quick even during the lunch rush.
Very yummy, be sure to check it out!! :DListed in: Comfort Foods

Four billion times better than Daphne's and definitely a strong contender for fast food greek, but it isn't the best around.
It's a solid lunch choice. A bit steep on price for portion, but good eats.
It's simple, if you want greek: specifically greek, not some mish mash mediterranean then this is a great place in the area. If you want incredible food, in the broader genre, go a few miles down the road to Kebab Shop. If you are tight for time, this place does it well.
And to everyone else...if you are eating at a Daphne's that comes anywhere near to the quality or taste of this place, I want to know where you are eating, and what meds you are taking, because the last 10 times I was forced to eat at Daphne's, it seemed to have to gone to hell. The food is disgusting at Daphne's. -

I used to order this online.... So I don't know if the quality and quantity of food has changed.
I would get the family pack. It was a reasonable price since they delivered for free and they give a to-go box full of rice, another box full of gyro meat + two skewers of beef or chicken, and another box of salad! Yummy to my tummy! WAYYYY better than Daphnes (Daphne's really sucks. Don't go there). Just order online. Convenient and cheap! -

Really disappointed location. It is not real Greek food. The food was cold and you could heard when they are using the microwave to heat up frozen food. I do not recommend this place at all.

Having just savored a delicious lunch courtesy of my new favorite Greek place, I felt instantly compelled to Yelp about it!
First off, for a quick lunch, this can't be beat. I spent more time deciding what to order then even waiting for my freshly made to-go order. The staff was super-friendly as well.
I got the Falafel Pita (sandwich) for lunch, and it was amazing! I make falafel at home, and frequently order it at restaurants, but this is by far the best I have had. It has a little extra spice that gives it some heat, and is perfectly cooked, not greasy at all. A normal sized pita packed full with lettuce, onion, cucumbers and yummy falafel with a side of homemade tahini...I am so stuffed, and yet, am already thinking about when I can go back again! -

This place is definitely not as good as Daphne's, and Daphne's isn't even really that good. I am not sure what kind of ummm... activities these people who are giving it five stars were participating in before they went to eat here, but yeah... It's really not that great.
The Gyro is loaded with way too much lettuce. I don't like having an entire salad in my Gyro. Maybe the were trying to compensate for the lack of meat? The meat itself is what really disappointed me. Very little flavor. Daphne's has much better meat.
Add the taste of the food to the crummy parking situation, this place only gets two stars. The fries were also extremely greasy. Like I have said before, I am really not one to watch my calorie intake, or fats, but the grease in (an on) the fries kinda scared me. -

The last time I had food here... I remembered it being very yummy and filling.... so when my family and I were craving Greek food again, we opted to do pick-up from this place... even though it is definitely not in our neighborhood. Last time we had the Family Gyro Pack meal ($23) and it was such a good deal!
So today at 6pm... I looked up the number and called the place... it kept ringing, so I assumed that they were just busy helping customers, etc. I was still looking over their menu. Saw that I could place an order for pick-up over the Internet (says you can place orders until 6:50pm).... but decided to just drive over there since it was still early. Their hours are listed as closing at 7pm on Saturdays. So at 6:15pm I get in the car. I still try to call on the way over there to get a head start on my order... but it kept ringing and ringing. when I got there at 6:30pm... the friggin place was CLOSED!!! W-T-F!!!
UGHHHHHHH... soooo irritating! I drove all that way for nothing!!! biotches. Two things piss me off about that:
1. The online ordering system takes orders till 6:50pm... so what if I had ordered online?!? I would have been screwed when I got there!!!
2. If you plan on closing early... then you should use your tip jar money and go invest in an ANSWERING MACHINE so that you can notify people of changes to your hours.
lame. such a shame too, because I remembered really enjoying the food here last time. We ended up picking up from Daphne's at the other end of Mira Mesa. I plan to order from this place again one more time to give them an opportunity to redeem themselves. Will update again.... but for now: Make sure you call them first if you plan on doing Pick-up... if it keeps ringing... its a sign!!! -

Sorry, I can't compare it to Daphne's because I really didn't like my experience with Daphne's AT ALL.
I just LOVE their gyro. It's probably the best gyro I've ever had, no joke. It's not too gamey and the texture is moist and got just a wonderful delicate chew to it. I'm no expert, but I try gyros here and there and this one is my favorite - I'm so lucky to work close by! =)
I almost always get the Gyro salad for $6.75 or so. It's a huge salad. Tons of gyro, 1 piece of flat bread cut into 4 triangles, served with tzatsiki sauce (it's not very thick but it's got great flavor and goes really well with the bread), and plenty of Greek-style salad with pretty darn good red vinegar dressing.
This is the restaurant I probably frequent most in Mira Mesa/ Sorrento Valley. =) Oh, and they're fast and pretty friendly! -

My husband and I stumbled across this place this weekend and it was delicious! I think this is about the second time I've had Greek food, so I guess you could take my review with a grain of salt.
We had the Zorba and Vegetarian platter and almost everything on the platters was excellent. If I could change only one thing it would be that the -now bare with me, I'm not sure the correct name for this food item -the phyllo dough, spinich and cheese square thing was a bit more fresh. It was very chewy and seemed like it had been sitting out a bit. It was still ok, but eh..
Other than that I'll be back. The prices for the quality and quantity for the food is really good. -

I would highly recommend Greek Bites, especially when ordering for a group. The owner will let you order multiple plates, which come with rice and salad, only pay for the per plate price, but will serve in large catering style trays. The outcome is heaps of delicious Greek salad, rice, skewers, etc. for an incredibly affordable price. I last ordered for a lunch event at the office this week and every attendee asked where I had ordered the lunch from. Most of the comments were that people have not had Greek food that was so delicious and not greasy. Yum. You have to check it out. Only down side is that I am not crazy about their hummus.

Standard fare Greek food. The quality isn't as great as Daphne's, but at least it's cheap. The family meal is an excellent deal though. Can't get enough of that tzatiki sauce.

I live in the area and like this place over Daphne's. I do like supporting more mom and pop places as opposed to the Taco Bell of Greek restaurants. The portions are plentiful and the tzaziki sauce is delightful. I normally get the gyro salad and my husband loves the falafel plate and there is always leftovers. The atmosphere is very laid back. It almost feels like a Robertos, and I say that in a good way!

One of the better food choices in the food court it's in. The chicken plate is pretty satisfying. I like that their combos have a good mix of salad and rice.
