I went there, got ignored and then they let some guy go ahead of me who got there after me.  They acted liked they could give a sh** if they cut my hair or not.  So I left,  Maybe other people have better luck.  They also charge women more for a haircut  and I think that is illegal.

When I was new to Santa Clara and did not know where to get a good haircut, I went to Great Clips on a crazy whim.  I was so tired of my long, thick hair that I just couldn't take it anymore.

I naively thought "How badly can someone screw up just taking a few inches off of long, straight hair???"

The lady who cut my hair looked like she was in high school, but I didn't want to be judgemental, because I look young for my age too, but I am good at my job!

Well, the entire haircut experience was awkward.  I asked her if I should get fringe bangs and she just looked at me like she had no idea what I was talking about.  Then she just kept cutting and cutting and cutting like she was struggling to get the length straight.  

When I got home, my hair was choppy, crooked, and about 3 inches shorter than I had asked for.  

The haircut was only $15 and you don't need to make an appointment, but I guess in this case, you get what you pay for.  

There were two other ladies working there who looked a little older, so maybe they have more experience, if you are willing to take the risk.

All of the other customers were guys getting cuts with those shaver things.  So if you are a guy who wants a quick, cheap cut and you don't care what it looks like, then this place might work for you.
