Graton Ridge has some of the best tasting wines in Sonoma and they are very well priced. Their Pinot and Chardonnay are my favorites but their Zin and Petite Sirah are very good too. The Zin Port is truly to die for and I'm getting a bottle as a gift for all the special people on my Christmas list! The owners, Barbara and Art, are often in the tasting room mingling with guests. The intimate type of wine experience at Graton Ridge is what makes Sonoma a great place to go wine tasting. And don't forget to check out their new bocce court!

I'm only rating my experience off of the 5 minutes I had at this winery. I showed up near closing time desperate to try out one of the most unusual ports I've ever heard of. Apple Port wine known as the 2008 A+. This winery claims to be the only one in the world that happens to make it Apple port wine. The lady serving behind the counter was very friendly and welcoming even though I and my friend showed up near closing time. The wine tasted amazing the kick of fresh apples with a little hint of oak and spice with a smooth warm finish. I will need to go back and try the rest of the wines next time.

This place first charmed me because of their wonderful hospitality. Paul was my pourer and he really made me comfortable, especially because I was tasting by myself.

I first left with their Rose of Pinot Noir and since then I have grown fond of their Viognier, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, and especially their A+ Apple Wine. All their wines are very well balanced and juicy. Always consistent.

Their tasting room is cute and quaint. They now have bocce ball courts and a picnic area. My recommendation is get some Apple wine and a pie from Mom's Apple Pie and you have a wonderful day planned!

3.5 stars rounded up to four for having an immaculate restroom.

Fairly typical, unspectacular tasting room (no vineyards, etc).  But, friendly and warm hospitality.  The Chard and the unavailable for purchase Zin Port are the stars here.

the zinfandel was awesome! When it's all good and done, the final product is really good. It's more fruity, but still good.

went here for the  barrel tasting and everyone was really nice and cheery. They were also serving pizza and brownies!

    Anyway, definitely worth stopping in.

Graton Ridge has a apple sparkling port that they can't label yet because the ABC can't decide how to classify it.  They taste it there & it has a super strong aroma of, yeah, you guessed it, apple.  It wasn't my favorite, but I could see how it could be used in making other drinks or with a dessert.

It was really busy but we were entertained by our driver, David (I highly recommend Vine Rover tours).

Also, the lady next to me kept hitting me with her way to long of hair as she 'flipped & flirted' with her tasting companion.  That was annoying, but no fault of the winery.

The wine was decent, but I left empty handed.

The owner's wife spent her time introducing the wine to us. The bf tried the red's, I tried the whites.  It was a FREE tasting.   She was not pretentious but very friendly.  I learned a few things about wine from her.

We bought a gold winner red. I think it was ~$30.

Right off the highway so you will not miss it.

They only produce 1000 cases a year.

Definitely stop here on your Sonoma wine trip -- great little place with fantastic wines and a really, really friendly staff. If you love big Zins, this is well worth your time.

This place has a nice feel to it when you walk in the door, calm and comfortable. It was our first stop, which usually means we don't buy anything...want to spread out the spending but I was tempted. They have some great wines right now for really good prices. The pinot was especially smooth and light. I too had the Econo Cab which was light and pretty good for the price. Another one that stood out was their port, really fresh and flavorful. The service was average, not too nice but not bad either. Overall a wonderful family run winery in beautiful Sebastopol! Plus no tasting fee!

Friendly girl was our wine server.  They have a wonderful 2007 pinot that won the red wine category for the SF chronicle wine contest.  It's good and I bought a bottle.

Dessert wines were nice as well.

Didn't pay a tasting fee and received 15 or 10% off my wine purchase because we had a pass from http://tastingroomers.com.

The owners were very freindly and informative.  This winery was small but very cozy and friendly.  The tastings were free and you were offered around 8 different styles.  Their wine prices are reasonable and are good quality.  We bought a young cab called "Econo Cab" that wasn't half bad for a young cab and at less than $15, it was even better.  They have old pictures on the wall of their family through the years and it was nice to see a family run winery be successful.  No douchy workers here unlike the other wineries we stopped off at.

I love the family wineries and this is one I really really like.  My boyfriend joined as a member on Valentines Day last year at their chocolate and wine event.  It was a very nice time.
