Great studio with well qualified teachers who focus their attention on you, which are able to do because they keep classes small. All the equipment is brand new.
Unlike the previous reviewer suggested, the classes are not hard to understand. You can purchase a "package" of 10 classes for a discount, or pay an individual class fee.
They offer chair classes, reformer, mat, pre and post natal and even an all mens class and a class for teens.
I took private lessons with Tamar Dover for 6 months and have been taking her group reformer and mat pilates classes for an additional 3 months. She is a wonderful teacher. Very in tune with your body, pushes you when you think you can't do something (she got me to do an upside down pushup, finally!) and has a great sense of humor. My core strength has greatly improved and I have way more definition in places I didn't think you could have it. I highly recommend her as a teacher!
I feel very comfortable in the studio and you will too, it's very beautiful. -

I'd give a higher rating if the classes started on time. It is frustrating to pay $35 or $40 for a class or a lot more for a private and then wait 10 - 12 minutes for class to begin. The owner and Aura are the worse at running late and then ending promptly.
Instruction is good, the place is clean, bright and fun. I love going there and I've become addicted to the workout. I just feel that one should get the benefit of a full hour class if that is what one is paying for.
Fernanda is incredible. Her classes and private lessons are the best and you always get your money's worth and more.
Signing up on line is easy. Everyone in class is fun and friendly. The atmosphere is supportive. -

I love taking classes here. All of the teachers are fabulous!! Pilates has changed the way I feel about myself - I really like my body. Yes its challenging, but I look forward to it. These teachers and this classical style really works for me. I have told my boyfriend, friends, coworkers, everyone about this place, and they all love it too.

I had never done Pilates before and booked mat & private classes. This has been great experience for me all teachers are well educated and Mary the owner is awesome! The classes are small so you get alot of help with the different pilates movements.
I look foward to the classes every week and studio is modern, new equipment and the best teachers! Try one class you you will become addicted like I did!! -

Grasshopper Pilates is the BEST pilates studio I have found in the city! I wouldn't go anywhere else to get my reformer-on! I have been practicing for over 10 years now and after my move from LA, I had a hard time finding a studio that fit my style. I like to be relaxed and yet work my booty off. This is the place to go if you're a dedicated, pilates student!

Tamar Dover, an instructor at Grasshopper, is hands down the best. I started working with Tamar when I was six months pregnant; now, almost three years later and fourteen weeks into my second pregnancy, I would not give up my sessions with Tamar for anything! Working with Tamar while pregnant is awesome - while very knowledgeable of pregnancy "limitations" she in no way takes it easy on me, she makes me sweat and work hard which is exactly what I need. Post-pregnancy, Tamar whipped me right back into shape - she has an incredible knack for pushing you to do the very things you never thought possible. She has a wonderful demeanor and is a true pleasure to work with, I could not recommend her more highly.

I am so glad I found Grasshopper Pilates in San Anselmo. I am getting back into Pilates after a 5 year break and I love this place. It has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, the owner is wonderful and I can recommend all of the teachers. They offer a wide range of classes: mat, reformer, chair etc... You can register and sign up online for classes. I really like the "feel" of the place.

I love this pilates studio - all of the teachers here are amazing - and the feel of the space is warm and friendly. I've taken both private and group equipment + mat classes, and the trainers here are very professional and patient with beginners (like me!). My daughter loves the teen class, so now we're both hooked!

I took Pilates in College, but the classes were nothing like this. These instructors are GREAT!!! I have found myself making time to go three times a week. I usually get the slows around 3, 3:30 but instead of taking a nap, I go to a Pilates class and I get my workout in and get energized for the rest of the day. The space is really lovely as well.
