From a bonafide hotel snob, I have to say that this is a cute hotel! Located in the heart of old Grass Valley, this is a charming little hotel- with probably around 35 rooms.
Our room was really clean, and really comfortable. I mean- the bed was amazing! They have Temperpedic beds and high quality bedding which helped me have an incredible night sleep. I also loved the towels.
The hotel staff was really friendly. They offer happy hour in the evening and free continental breakfast in the morning.
The only downside to the hotel was that the fire alarm went off after a long shower...the steam from the shower set off the heat sensor. That was a wee bit annoying. Otherwise- I have no complaints and I will be back!

Every time we go to Grass Valley, we love staying at the Courtyard Suites.
Very clean, kids love the pool, quiet, nice linens, awesome beds, breakfast, afternoon snack AND best of all we walk a couple of blocks to town. Even bought a Tempur-pedic mattress after sleeping on theirs. Staff is pleasant. You must do check OUT by eleven or the door locks!
There was one time they wouldn't rent for one night, and required two nights, so we didn't stay. )-:
I had high hopes when I made reservations as the person on the phone was very friendly. We stayed here with our dog. Dog dishes, a bone, and a blanket were waiting for him and a very nice room was ready for us. Very clean and cute. They offer a continental breakfast in the morning and wine, lemonade, and cheese in the PM. (We didn't try either.) It is just a block to downtown. We will stay here again the next time we are in the area.
