Did you know that you can get a VIP tour of Grant's Farm?  I had absolutely no idea until my sister booked on for my family so we could take my little niece on a "real tour" of the farm.  It's not free like the regular tour, it's not even cheap (it will run you upwards of $100-$200) but you don't have to pay for parking...yea, not really the same, huh??

This tour is fantastic though.  I have never seen so much of Grant's Farm nor have I ever learned so much about the place.  They pick you up in your own private truck, where they give you water, beer, anything AB makes for free.  While you cruise around the park drinking your free beer, you get to go right up the driveway to the Busch Mansion (which is amazing up close), you learn dirty little secrets about the Busch family (ok, not that dirty it IS owned by the family so it's clearly all propaganda), you get to go into Grant's Cabin which I hadn't done since I was a Girl Scout, and then, the truck will take you to the animals.  Why is this so much cooler than in the regular tour tram?  Well, the animals come right up to the truck.  You know what that means???  You get to feed the animals.  They come right up and eat it right out of your hands.  It's really quite cool.

After your tour of the reserve, you dropped back off with the "commoners" in the general park where you can get, guess what, MORE FREE BEER and maybe a soft pretzel.

Grant's Farm is truly a strange place:  A wildlife reserve, a zoo, a Bavarian beer garden, a historical site, AND the home of the Busch family, and you don't realize just how weird until you take the extended tour.  I just love Grant's Farm, but I think now I have been spoiled by this tour.  I do suggest taking it now, just incase InBev gets their way...

Free beer!  This is owned and operated by Anheuser-Busch so you get 2 free  beers when you visit the Bauernof (outdoor beer garden).  I have fond memories of being here as a child asking my parents when we we going to leave and being told "in a little while".  Back then it was UNLIMITED free beer!

The admission is free, but you have to pay for parking.  Call ahead for a reservation and then you go and stand in line and wait to get on the tram.  You get a tour of the grounds including Grant's Cabin.  Then you're dropped off in an area where you see baby goats.  You can buy bottles of milk to feed them.  They have animal shows - elephants and birds and you don't have to sit for hours to get a good spot.

You can also see the famous Clydesdales!  So head on down there!

A fun touristy spot for couples, families.  We fed the goats & walked all around.  Nice marketing, A.B.  Nice job indeed.

It's free and you get a safari and free beer.  Where else can you find that?
