Thank you so much Dr. Sims. I must say the root canal didn't hurt at all!! For the first time... Wonderful! A must Dentist! A++
Nick was right, you are good!
P.S. Also speaks Spanish! Wow!
I finally found a good dentist in Chicago. Great teeth cleaning, up to date equipment, extremely gentle and awesome service. I will definitely be coming back here for all my future dental needs. Such a relief to have finally found a good dentist!
I found Dr. Sims because I frequent the 7-11 next door : ) and had seen the signage in the window. When my girlfriend had a tooth emergency at 2am I jumped on YELP to see who was gentle and good with teeth nearby and I was pleased to find all rave reviews with Dr. Sims as he was on the short list of Dentists to try when we found the time to get the next cleaning.
The entire staff was wonderful, they squeezed us in as soon as they opened office and were very helpful and calming during something a bit traumatic for us.
We have to go back for some follow up, and I will be scheduling a cleaning shortly, ... great pricing, great service, super friendly laid-back and professional. I can actually say I'm excited to go to the dentist this year.
I have to give Dr. Sims the full 5. After my temporary crown fell off last night, he came in today - not just a Sunday, but Superbowl Sunday! - to put a new one on. I really appreciate that.

Dr. Sims is a dentist, and therefore, my natural enemy. However, since he is a necessary evil I will… Read more »
Talk about a committed group of people! I found Dr. Sims (on YELP) one night, after I had cracked a tooth. He had me come in first thing the next morning. I hadn't been to a dentist...in quite some time. Frankly, I just don't like them much. The dentistry that I had experienced in the past severely lacked compassion...along with personality. This man is the complete opposite of any dentist that I have ever encountered! The whole team there is a completely different breed. They are actually happy people...no really, they are. You don't walk in to some bitchy receptionist that ignores you until she sees fit to acknowledge your existence. You walk in to MARLENE : ) She's amazing! She's happy, funny, sweet, intelligent & understanding. She actually looks at you AND even listens to what you're saying. You don't get that person that refuses to look at you, says "sign in" and "someone will be right with you"... She's "right with you" She's on it!
Then you have Jessie. Jessie Rocks Too! She's good stuff. I've never seen an assistant be so on top of things. She knows what Dr. Sims is thinking before he even says it. She's really good at not letting you choke on your drool too. She doesn't let it run down your face or choke you to death. She has a great sense of humor, she totally puts a person at ease.
Dr. Sims has a great staff and he knows it. They all complement each other so well, literally...even verbally. Dr. Sims talks about how great Jessie is and how amazing Marlene is. Marlene and Jessie talk about how great Dr. Sims is...both as a doctor and as a person. It's so refreshing to see a group of people work so well together as a team. It's so settling to know that the people that you've entrusted with your care truly trust each other.
I will never go to another dentist! The man did a root canal on me and I didn't feel a thing. I didn't even feel the shot to numb me. I'm a big baby when it comes to needles. I'm not kidding...I did NOT feel a thing. He talks you through every step. He is constantly checking on you, asking if you're ok. If he's not, Jessie is. He explains everything to you before he does it, pulls your images up on the monitor and explains your teeth and the process layer by layer, step by step.
I had a bit of a reaction to, probably, the glue used to hold my temporary in. Dr. Sims got me back in right away. He got me comfortable again and then even met me back in the office on a Sunday to replace it. The man is dedicated. He is compassionate and understanding. Dr. Sims is an artist!
This really is the place to go. If I move 500 miles away from Chicago, I will fly in every 6 months to see Dr. Sims!
Dr. Sims and his hygienist Naomi were great. Very gentle with my teeth and efficient too. Diagnosed my problem and I was not in any pain during my exam which is very important to me. I will recommend him to my friends.
I am unfortunately one of those people who doesn't start doing something until it gets catastrophically bad. So when a chunk of my molar feel off, I found myself in need of a dentist. I've always hated going to the dentist and because of this it had been over 5 years since my last visit, so needless to say, this was not something I wanted to do. So after reading the good reviews here, I called them on the phone and the appointment was set up very easily and quickly, I arrived early and the receptionist Marlene felt genuinely nice and came up and shook my hand and explained what needed to be done to get started. The waiting room was very clean and cozy, with a nice big TV and magazines.
Eventually I was taken in to talk to Naomi who did X-rays and some minor teeth cleaning, she was very nice and talked and joked while she worked, and seemed very passionate about her job. Eventually Doctor Sims came in and went through the x-rays and very thoroughly explained what needed to be done and answered all of my questions with visual/video examples and concise explanations.
They even gave me a large discount as a first time patient for the consultations. Would highly recommend them.
Amazing, kind, and wonderful. If I could write a novel on Dr. Sims, I would! He saw me for a dental emergency last Monday due to unbelieveable pain from a missing filling that I had since February. It ended up being a fractured tooth, my back molar, that had an infection and would have to be extracted. Dr. Sims spent a ton of time with me, x-raying the spot, and numbed me up before having to extract the tooth entirely. Although a painful process, Dr. Sims was extremely gentle, and talked me through the entire process. The tooth, as stubborn as my personality, took almost an hour and a half to extract. I felt very well taken care of and now I'm starting to feel 100% better. His staff is super friendly and accomodating, and they truly care about their patients. You will not be just another number at this clinic. They really care about their patients' dental health and trust me, IT SHOWS!!! If you dreaded going to the dentist like I did, Dr. Sims will ease your fears entirely. Amazing, kind, and wonderful.
Dr. Sims and his staff operate a friendly and capable practice. I recently had a root canal done there; Dr. Sims does a skilled job and makes you feel as comfortable as possible in the circumstances. Beforehand Dr. Sims tried to save the problem tooth and went to some trouble and expense preparing it for a crown. He delayed putting a crown on to keep an eye on the tooth. Unfortunately the tooth got worse (necessitating the root canal) but Dr. Sims didn't charge for the work that couldn't be utilized. My wife and I followed Dr. Sims to his current place of business. We liked the fact that he puts the care of his patients first above other considerations, like processing "clients" as fast as possible to bring in more money. There is a good atmosphere in the office with the staff working together effectively and displaying a sense of humor in the process. They make you feel like you've come to the right place.
