Although I was only here for ten minutes, I fell in love with it. It has the charm of an old fashioned toy shop with all kinds of dolls, gadgets, toys, and stuff, stuff and more stuff. I was very happy to find the incredible disappearing liquid baby bottles that I was looking for. The other toy shop at the 29th Street Mall ran out of them. I'm definitely coming back here to look at their collection of stamps. This place makes me feel like a kid again. There's so much there that you know you have to come back to see the rest. And considering that there's no mega toy store in Boulder, bravo for Grandrabbit's!

Hands down this is the best toy store I've visited in Colorado. Both my six-month old daughter and my 38-year old husband were ridiculously excited to be wandering the aisles of the store.
From the standpoint of a baby's mother - they have a ton of options for the wee ones. Lots of bright colors, developmental concepts, and the animals! Sweet LORD, this place had more stuffed animals and hand puppets than the FAO Schwartz in KC.
Babies notwithstanding, there were endless options for the older kids. I was tempted to buy myself a princess ensemble and a pirate lunchbox. The book selection was great (there was an abundance of Eric Carle), and while it was no Tattered Cover, it certainly wasn't small, either.
We also managed to stumble across a little nook filled with toys that adults would remember from back in the day and find cool, but kids now would probably roll their eyes. There were chattering teeth, Slinkies, a bobbing bird with a top hat, whoopie cushions, etc. Totally awesome.
Oh, and last but not least, they had several Plasmacars (http://www.plasmacar.com) - good for people from ages 3-99. I'm still regretting not giving one a whirl.
We had two salespeople approach us while we were there to see if we needed assistance - they were helpful without being pushy. Everyone in that place was having a great time. Then again, who wouldn't? It's a freakin' toy store.

Hey, you're never too old to enjoy a toy store. Or maybe I'm just revealing my own lack of maturity. Either way, this is a cool little toy shop.
Of course I'm biased because a friend of mine used to work here. But hey, that doesn't mean it's not a cool store.

Succinctly and accurately....Grandrabbit's Toy Shoppe made my childhood.
Coolest toys I can never afford to buy but they let you hang out as long as you want. So many different toys, games, books, puzzles that it makes you want to be a kid again. A rich kid of course. Stupendous selection for a store this size and it's all interesting even to adults (okay maybe just me). Also great because it doesn't have a lot of mainstream run-of-the-mlll toys you can get at Target. I'd give it five stars but I resent their tempting me with such lovely imported toys at such imported prices. Apparently, German tinkertoys are better than ours. Well, they are.

No Barbies are stocked here. If you're looking for a gift fo a little one, you'll have no problem finding it here.
Fun and pretty toy store for young children. You can play for hours in there. Worth a trip when its present time for the little ones in your life.
