Petoskey, MI
Very good sandwiches. Always a treat.
These folks are the Absolute Kings when it comes to Pie. Keep going back and try them all.
The entire shop is compulsively clean and tidy every time I go in.
This is one of a rotation of about four places in Petoskey I like to stop by for lunch from time to time.
Try the little tables on the sidewalk in the summer and watch the tourists ramble by. -

You don't really need anything else when you serve pie like this place - although fresher coffee would have helped. Definitely thinking about ordering a pie for delivery to Raleigh for the holidays!

Just don't order a French Silk pie, they throw together a pudding pie and try to pass it off. Otherwise a great place and everything else they serve is wonderful.

Nice spot in downtown Petosky. Frequent the other GTPC in the metro Detroit area. They are all quite consistent with their food prep.

While visiting Petosky we come upon this "Grand Traverse Pie Company". We decide to come in and take a break and have a piece of pie. WOW WOW WOW..is all we both can say. Between the cherry, lakeshore pie, apple pie....we had to come back several times to try different ones..They also have a great website and that they also ship anywhere. If you order one pie then you don't need to pay shipping for a second pie. You pick the day of delivery and they also ship it to arrive fresh, and packaged securely. This time around we ordered our favorite one *apple crumb* and tried the chocolate ganache. Both were delicious and this is going to be a new holiday tradition for us. Consider giving a gift of the "pie of the month club" as well. This place was also featured on Oprah Winfrey. YES it is that good!

The food is slightly above Panera, but the pie is oh-so-good. Tried the blueberry with crumb topping, and I'm still thinking about it.

If Panera Bread was awesome, it would be something like this. The Grand Traverse Pie Company serves tasty sandwiches, soups, and pot pies, not to mention excellent fruit and cream pies for dessert. Even though they are kind of a chain (13 locations in Michigan), it doesn't really feel too commercial and it's definitely worth stopping by for lunch if you're in the Petoskey area.
Listed in: First is the worst, second is…, Yes, Michigan!

Grand Traverse Pie Company has some pretty good pie - the stawberry rhubarb pie and mixed berry pie were both excelent on a recent visit. The staff was friendly as well.

This restaurant is pretty much like a Panera- Panera with good pie.
I had peach blackberry cobbler and chocolate pie. The chocolate pie was better than you get at most places (I miss you, South! You know how to make cream pie the amazing way). However, it overall isn't that great in the overall pie scheme. However, the peach blackberry cobbler was amazing. I had it twice in my week in Petoskey.
I also had a chicken salad sandwich. Average. -

I don't like pies. The other food here is good, but leans towards pricey for what you get (as per usual in Petoskey). I was glad to see something go in that building and stick. Another restaurant that I don't seek out myself, but I wouldn't turn down an invite from a friend to meet up for lunch there.

Alison is right - The Grand Traverse Pie Company is like an upscale Panera Bread - without the chain restaurant feeling. Their pot pies and chicken salads are delicious, and the people are very friendly. Plus, free Wifi and power outlets at nearly every table make it an ideal place to get work done (and give a positive Yelp review!).

While passing through town the other week, we stopped here for some pie as I had read many great things about it. The blueberry cobbler was wonderful - be sure to get it heated up! I also had a bite of my husband's apple pie. It was good, too, but nothing beats the cobbler!
