Review from Jennifer B.
Seattle, WA
This hotel is in a perfect location! RIght at the intersection of 7th and Pine, it is a quick and plesant walk down the Pikes market, only a block away from Pacific Place, and 2 blocks away from Nordstroms. There is tons of other shopping in the area as well which is great.
As far as the actual hotel, everything about the room was perfect. We stayed here for a couple nights in July and didn't have any issues. I especially loved that the window coverings were thick enough that no light got through.
For breakfast, the only option they have is Ruths Chris Steakhouse, which is good and bad. Good cause it is insanely delicious and those chocolate chip pancakes they served me were to die for, but bad because it was quite expensive and it would have been nice to have a cheaper alternative. -

Camas, WA
We stayed here for 3 nights for Christmas. Used the Hyatt points, but looking at the price listed, it is very reasonable, especially for such a great location and amenities.
Customer Service:
I have been a member of Hyatt for years, and I must say, I have never been as impressed by the customer service as at the Grand Hyatt Seattle. Normally, at more corporate hotel like this, you receive the more courteous type of customer service, more like "I'm doing this because I have to, not because I want to". But here, everyone is very friendly and seems generally happy to help. We were also greeted by our names, which hardly ever happens anymore in this type of hotel. In fact, after our stay, the Mr actually called the hotel to find out where they got their salmon served at the Grand Club was from and they actually contacted him back w/ the information. It was a simple gesture, but I have contacted other hotel to find information on something they served during our previous stay, and was ignored even though they're known for their excellent customer service.
Room:
We had a gorgeous view of the water from our room. The room itself is not too big, but not too small; very comfortable size for a hotel room. The bathroom however is not the typical Hyatt bathroom. It reminds me more of the Vegas hotels bathroom (think Bellagio, Wynn, etc). Loved the soak tub, and my request for bath salt was accommodated without any problems, although I am still confused as to why hotels w/ tubs don't provide bath salt/soap for this purpose without having to request it. You can't exactly use regular shower gel to take a bath.
The bed is typical Hyatt bed, comfortable enough. However, the pillows are so flat we had to fluff them up by sleeping on two (three for me). I don't understand why hotels spend so much money on every other aspect of their hotels, except for the pillows. You spend most of your time on top of them, comfort is necessity!
Location: you know what that say, location location location. Walking distance to pretty much everything. Granted Seattle is not that big and easily accessible, but this location is located in a perfect spot for tourists. You are literarily smacked in the middle of the shopping area when you walk out of the hotel, and just a short few blocks walk to Pike Place. It's only 1 or 2 block walk to the bus stop so hopping in and out of busses is not a problem at all.
Fitness Center:
I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the fitness center. Plenty of machines and selections.
Minor incident which really wasn't the hotel's fault. Perhaps they should put up a big giant sign before the door to the hot tub area instead of the corner so everyone could see that proper attires are required to enter the area. Sure, it should be common knowledge that this area is coed, but apparently it is not common knowledge at all. We had the unpleasant incident w/ three women who let's just say not dressed for a coed area. It was uncomfortable for all, but especially for the Mr whose hot tubbing time was cut short w/ this incident.
Wifi:
Thanks to my Platinum status, we get free wifi w/ our stay. It's the fastest just yet, and since it's free, nothing to complain.
Grand Club:
Okay, I've heard a lot of complaints about their Grand Club from another travel forum, so I wasn't expecting a lot. Sockeye salmon they served in the morning is the Mr's favorite (thus the calling the hotel for info on it). They don't serve hot food for breakfast, but honestly, I quite enjoy grabbing something quick here and having breakfast/lunch/brunch elsewhere later on. A lot of time, the breakfast served at the hotel isn't exactly the best quality anyway.
The afternoon snack consists of hot appetizers, veggies and dips, and drinks. Not a lot of selections, but good enough for snacking purposes. Alcohol is extra, which we weren't aware of *not that it'd stop us from ordering, but it'd be nice if there's a sign to indicate that* (the last day, the magic sign was there; perhaps someone complained?).
I must disclose that we had free access to the Grand Club because of my status. Not sure if I'd pay extra for it honestly. The view from the club was beautiful and the room was comfortable to hang out in, however, the food selection isn't worth how much you'd have to pay for. But since it's free for us, I can't complain much.
In conclusion, we had a great stay, and we will definitely consider the Grand Hyatt next time we're in Seattle. -
Review from Andrew S.
I had a nice sweet and short stay here a few weeks ago. So I don't have much to say other than a few details that I really appreciated about the hotel, and some interesting observations:
- I arrived fairly late after a long haul flight from New York. I had a meeting the next morning fairly early. I got my key, headed up to practically the top floor, tired and delirious, only to find my key didnt work. So I whined and headed back to the lobby, 30 something floors down (I think)... I get to the front desk, and the staff was so sweet. One of them actually helped me take my luggage up with me, as they could tell I was exhausted.
- Ruths Chris in the lobby makes a solid breakfast
- The room had a beautiful view of Seattle and the Space Needle, and was very spacious. The bathroom was so big, perfect for a wake up shower or a relaxing bath ... both bath and shower are separated.
- The hotel isn't ornate as some of the Grand Hyatt offerings sprouting up around the world recently (notably, Shanghai and Beijing), but it does the job and does it well.
I'd stay here again for sure. -

One of my fav hotels. Great location, lobby, bar, bed... When I'm in sf, this is my place to stay. It is home away from home for me. I wish I can afford it again and again

I absolutely love it here!
I usually stay at the Olive 8 across the street, but I figured why not give this one a try instead. The staff are super friendly and attentive. They helped us out on a few recommendation and events going on around the city.
The rooms are sizable, with large bathtubs so that you can take a nice bubble bath with SO lol Yeah, so what? I'm a guy and I like bubbles ok!
This place is located right downtown and is walking distance to pretty much everything you need.
I would totally recommend this place to anyone. -

Puyallup, WA
This place was pretty cool. A lot to offer. They have a steakhouse, starbucks and sushi all connected to it.
Staff is very good. Friendly, helpful, very informative and they bend over backwards for you.
Rooms where clean. Bed wasn't that comfortable. The bathroom was amazing, very big. Huge glass shower, big bath tub. Found it a little weird that there wasn't a fan in the bathroom.
We hada great view of the city, water and Needle. We stayed on the 24th and it was very sweet.
Only thing I felt was a little cheap on their part was the internet. You have to pay for it wether your in your room or in the buisness center. Really you couldn't give your customers free internet. That was a big minus in my book.
Location is great. Waling distance to everything in Seattle..... Well not everything, but close to the Monorail, and all public transportation.
Oh and one more thing. Why is it that no matter what hotel I stay at no one has figured out that not all people are under 6'0 tall. I can never sleep in a bed that cover me all the way. I'm 6'5 and never ever does any hotel do this, all sheets and blankets go to my shoulders and if i pull more my feet hang out. So have freezing feet or freezing upper body. Someone please do something about his I'm off my soap box. -

Stayed here for three nights while on business. I was upgraded to a one-bedroom corner suite which was so spacious and amazing. The suite had two flat screen TV's and a large bathroom that contained both a nice bath tub and a separate shower stall. The "living room" had a couch, desk and a flat screen TV along with a mini bar. The long hallway down to the bedroom had two closets with lots of room. The closets are cleverly decorated to appear as French doors - a very nice artistic touch. The automatic Roman shades in both the living room and bedroom quarters operate with a touch of a switch. I want to thank Kendall at the reception desk for such gracious hospitality and for the wonderful room assignment. In addition, the Grand Hyatt is in a great location with very close proximity to great shopping and restaurants. It will always be my #1 hotel choice in Seattle.

Ugh. I have stayed here many times and usually is fabulous. Bad front desk staff, and bad manager experience this time. What a shame. Not writing them off completely, but they did not live up to what a luxury hotel experience should be this time.

Coeur d'Alene, ID
Great place: bathroom was very swank, oversized tub and full, separate shower. The kamode was in a separate room, I always like that. Bed was nice and firm; I like that, my wife not so much.
And the gym is 24hrs woohoo! -
Review from Gregg M.
There are only three things I consider when deciding on a hotel. Location, location, location. Well, perhaps there is a fourth consideration...a comfortable bed. The GF and I chose the Grand Hyatt to serve as our home away from home during our nearly week-long stay. The Grand Hyatt occupies prime real estate in Downtown Seattle. It's two blocks away from the Light Rail station which makes it surprisingly easy and convenient to get to and from Sea-Tac. It's next door to the convention center. It's also just up a few blocks from Pike Place Market and within easy walking distance of many restaurants, bars, shopping, movie theaters, and music venues.
We had a corner room on the 16th floor which had a partially obstructed view of the Sound. The room was clean and spacious especially the bathroom with a full tub and separate shower. However, the furnishings were surprisingly generic to the point that the couch and chair almost looked and felt like patio furniture. Still, the bed was comfortable and the linens were of decent thread count. It didn't feel like we were sleeping on a burlap sack. Since we were in a corner room, lots of light streamed in our windows. The blinds, however, were powered and controlled by a switch by the bed. Housekeeping service was thorough but not intrusive, always seeming to hit our room while we were out tooling around the city.
The hotel, itself, is modern looking and has all the standard amenities like a conference rooms, a business center, fitness center, and restaurants. A Ruth's Chris, Starbucks, a sushi restaurant, and a convenience store were all off of the lobby. Unfortunately, internet isn't free in the hotel, but free wifi is available at Starbucks. Although we didn't have a car, there's garage parking with valet service. The Grand Hyatt has everything a business traveler or tourist needs. It's a plus that they provide better than average service. Still, its location can't be beat. The Grand Hyatt will very likely be my first choice to stay the next time I'm in town. -
Review from Mario P.
This is our favorite hotel in Seattle, and we have stayed in quite a few different hotels. It is very convenient to shopping, and equally convenient to most shows (Paramount mostly). It is not as convenient to the waterfront or the market, but that is a question of personal preference.
The rates are a little steep compared to other lodging alternatives, but once you have checked in and make it to your room, you will understand why. Everything about the place is nice, clean, and classy. -

San Francisco, CA
It's located right in the heart of downtown. Prime spot if you need to get to public transportation, plan on shopping a lot, great view of Seattle's skyline, and close to many restaurants. I was able to walk from the hotel to Pike's Place Market and the piers within 15-20 minutes. The hotel is also accessible from the attached Starbucks and Blue C Sushi.
The corner suite was so quiet and we had just enough room for our 3 day stay. An additional roll out bed actually has a decent mattress. Big windows adorned the room for a spectacular view. Wifi is only free in the lobby and Starbucks on the ground floor; otherwise, you'll need to pay a fee. If you have to sneak a workout in they have a perfectly clean and suitable gym. It looked like new equipment and hot towels are provided!
One Hotel Pet Peeve: Mini fridge is actually a mini bar and therefore unusable for your own needs!! -

Like fellow yelpers have said, it's a great place, comfortable and modern rooms, great bathrooms and we were graciously upgraded simply by asking.
My only qualm is that they don't offer free wifi.
This is 2011 and it's pretty much expected, and ridiculous that they charge for it. I realize it's common for most higher end hotels to charge for it, but its ridiculous. Hopefully the day of nickel and diming you for things like that will come to an end before long. -

Portland, OR
Great location, comfortable rooms, great views. The gym, hot tub, sauna, and steam room are very nice. The staff were accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. We upgraded to an executive suite and it was lovely. The suites have 2 bathrooms, soaking tub, and a duel head shower. There is a lounge area in your room with a bar and a fridge. A little on the spendy side but worth it if you're planning on entertaining and spending time in your room.
I do love you can run down in the morning to Starbucks and that Blue C sushi is right there as well. Ruth Chris is also in the hotel....but I'm not a huge fan of this chain-especially with so many other great restaurants at better price points nearby.
The hotel is within walking distance to all the downtown shopping, Pike street market, and all the theaters.
Overall a great hotel to stay in but a little on the spendy side and they even wanted to charge extra for internet. -
Review from Dani C.
The room: We ended up with the corner suite which was unexpected. There was a minihall way that separated the bedroom and sitting area. Two phones, one in each area, two TVs, and the best thing of all: The bathroom. The bathroom was huge with separate shower and bathtub. The bathtub is huge and you really can relax in it. The bathroom also included a free toothpaste which was absolutely disgusting. If you're used to sweet toothpaste, avoid the freebie one.
The lobby: Very nicely decorated, lots of elevators, and more importantly, there's a Starbucks that has free wifi. Why pay for wifi when you can just go down to Starbucks and get it for free?
Service: The people at the front desk were mostly friendly and professional except for the one person when we were checking in. I didn't find her friendly at all. Granted we checked in at 11 at night, but still.
Location: Very very very good location. It's close to the bus terminal, so if you need to go to places that are outside of downtown Seattle, the terminal is just a block away. It's also walking distance from all the shopping and for 15-20 mins, you can walk down to Pike Place Market.
Price: We paid at about $116/night + tax via Priceline which is an awesome deal considering the hotel we got.
Overall, I had a great experience and I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to stay at a nice hotel in Seattle. -

LOVE.
We had an alright view (top of a roof) but other than that...I cannot complain!
Loved:
1. Location - sooo walkable.
2. Gym - amazing facility and new, clean equipment.
3. Room - nicely appointed, amazing shades, comfy bed and great bathroom.
4. Parking garage - sure paying for parking is never fun, but this parking garage was easy to navigate, connected to the hotel (BONUS!) and the quietest I have experienced.
5. Convenience - now, we did not partake (since we were only staying one night) but awesome that Ruth's Chris, Starbucks and Blue C Sushi are all accessible from the lobby.
Definitely a keeper. -

I've only come here for community benefit dinners. They've raised a lot of money with a nice ambiance, decent food, and a good layout in the ball room. For my friends who've planned these dinners they like to work with the staff and everything goes off without a hitch. -

The hotel room is lovely here! I'm here for a conference and it is a great space except for one important piece - no accessible wifi in the conference room. Well, actually our nonprofit was going to be charged a lot of money for wifi and my internet card was blocked. Not good in my opinion. If I am going to book a conference it will be some place with affordable wireless for my attendees.
For such a beautiful hotel you would think they would have nicer towels too... I love great towels when I get out of a shower. -
Review from Trish T.
What is not to love?
1. The location is great . Right smack in the middle of downtown Seattle, so it's a short distance to shopping, restaurants, Pioneer Square, Belltown, and Pike Place.
2. The rooms are amazing. We requested a room on a lower floor, so we did not get any views, but I did not care. Everything about the room was top-notch from the furniture, to the electronics, to the most comfortable bed. Everything was in good working order and was clean. The blackout blinds were electronically-controlled, so this provided a source of amusement for simple-minded people like us.
3. The bathroom is huge. You-can-throw-a-party-in-it huge. It has a separate shower stall and a huge soaker tub. The shower stall is so big, one can fit 4 people in it very comfortably (I don't know why one would, but one certainly could).
4. The staff members were friendly, efficient, and accommodating. It is worthy to note that our status as cheapskate Priceline customers did not seem to matter to them because we felt we were treated just as well as all the other guests.
My only gripe is that the wifi is not free, but there is a Starbucks and an NYC deli on the ground floor, both offering free wifi, so not a big deal. Also, parking is a bit much at $30 for self park at the Pike and 7th Garage, but it is easily accessible from the hotel.
A 4*-rated hotel that is truly a 4*. No real complaints here, so definitely a 5* rating from me. -

Great location - convenient to the light rail, 7 blocks from Pikes Market and everything in between! If you are on an extended stay, the corner suite for three people is perfect! Opt for the upgrade for an additional $29 -- worth every penny! The upgrade offers you significantly more space, and two, yes two bathrooms!
Bit disappointed the wireless internet costs $9.99/24hr. Also, had confirmed reservations for x price; however, were billed $25/night more upon check-out. It was an easy fix since I had a copy of our reservation which the clerk accepted and adjusted the bill accordingly. Just a slight hassle I wouldn't expect. -
Review from David B.
Call it a reclusive premise for the weary.
Call it a night in pillow-top heavens "open arms" :)
Call it a day spent laying in a hot tub, sweating it out in the sauna, cleansing the poors in the steam room...cardio in the 24 hour gym, weights in the matted room, walking around naked in the corner suite facing the space needle. Call it what you will...I call it my time
I enjoyed my stay here. I spoiled thyself.

Review from Lacey P.
Port Orchard, WA
Loved the location! Right in the middle of everything. Great for walking everywhere. The room was nice and clean! Stayed on the 18th floor in one of the rooms with a king bed and had a little view of the sound but mostly the Roosevelt hotel.
Very modernized decor, with a mini bar. Make sure to order an extra mini fridge for your room if you plan on storing left-overs or personal drinks. You can't store anything in the mini bar fridge. And if you move anything inside of it, the sensors automatically bill your room. We didn't read the sign on the door and ended up moving things around. After noticing the sign, we called the front desk and they were very friendly and took the items off of our bill!
The bed was very comfy! Pillows were perfect. The electronic blackout shades were awesome and worked great. There's a button on the wall next to the bed to control them. There's an iPod docking station so bring your music! Bathroom is lovely! A large soaking tub with a big mirror behind it. Loved the shower too. Big with a door that opened both ways (kinda neat). Plenty of room for multiple people to get ready!
Sooo if your looking for good location, clean and comfy room, and friendly, helpful staff, this is the place for you! -
Review from Kyle M.
Things keeping this from 5 stars:
1)No free internet ($10 for 24hrs of wifi through T Mobile)
2)No swimming pool (they do have a whirlpool/sauna)
3)Valet Parking $30+ a day plus tips
Overall a very nice hotel and excellent service. If you want a pool stay at the Hyatt Olive 8 one block away.
I had room 2503 which was a great room for two. It's a corner room which means the seating area is immediately upon walking in. There is a TV and a couple couches. You then turn a corner and walk down a hallway that is lined with closets. Halfway down is a nicely appointed bathroom (marble, separate tub and glass enclosed shower) and then the bedroom area. Bed area is small, but big enough for a King plus one chair and a TV.
One nice touch was the automatic shades that were operated by a switch next to the bed.
Location: Really good location, especially for those who are going to the convention center. You are about six blocks directly north of Pike Place Market. Two or so blocks from huge Nordstrom's attached to Pacific Place mall, three or four from huge Macy's. One block from two movie theaters. Ruth's Chris is attached to the hotel as well as a Starbucks and a Blue C Sushi.
Overall if you don't care about a pool then I think you will enjoy your stay at this hotel. -
Review from Mathew N.
This hotel is awesome.
The rooms have been decorated beautifully. The rooms have a small, elegant entry way and the spacious bathroom feels like a luxury spa. The electronic blackout shades are a favorite feature. There are great views of the sound and downtown Seattle and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. All linens are soft and comfy and the bed allows you a great night sleep. Everything feels clean.
The Hyatt is located within walking distance of several downtown landmarks, good restaurants, and shopping. Entering the lobby is like stepping into luxury.
If I was going to quibble, the placement of electrical outlets in the hotel room is not very convenient and I also didn't find the light switches to be intelligently placed. Also, the parking can run you an extra $30-$40 a night.
I would absolutely stay here again.Listed in: Seattle Hotspots

Review from Nick P.
If you have the money (or the Priceline negotiation expertise), this is THE place to stay in downtown Seattle. It has all the luxury you would expect, and their customer service is top notch.
Why 4 stars and not 5? Because we did have issues, which were eventually resolved by the staff. The heat was out in our room for a day or so... it was freezing, and after a day of complaining, they moved us to their penthouse suite with views of downtown, Pike Place, the Sound, and the Space Needle. Sweet! -

What an amazing hotel!!!
Pros:
- Great location! Central to the best shopping and restaurants in downtown. Short walk to Pike's Market and the monorail to the Needle. It's also about 1 block from the Westlake station that will get you to/from the Sea-Tac airport on the train
- Very clean
- Modern and upgraded room furniture and bathroom fixtures (including blackout curtains)
- QUIET (although I would ask for a high level room - closer to the street means more noise)
- Very friendly staff
- Ruth's Chris and a Starbucks in the ground floor of the hotel
Cons:
- A bit pricey but no more than other nice hotels in downtown
- No free wi-fi (this is my pet peeve for any hotel. This should always be included with the room, especially at these prices)
I will definitely be back on my next trip. It was that great! -

St Paul, MN
Beautiful, just beautiful. Great water views. Rooms comfortable & stylish, updated. Bathroom with shower, seperate soak tub. Elevators fast & plentiful. Self parking in same building. Fitness room very nice, big & lots of new equipment, weight machines & cardio. Nice tunes playing, with headphones available for individual TVs on the cardio machines, if you don't care for music. Spa area (sauna, steam room & hot tub) beautiful, clean, relaxing. Hot tub was hot, jets were powerful. Very seldom do you find such a great spa. Our last great spa experience was on another continent. Hyatt Club was enjoyable, nice city views. Coffee, teas, snacks were excellent & lots of variety.
All staff we interacted with were friendly, helpful & professional.
Very well trained. -

Hello Seattle Yelpers!
Stayed here for 4 nights during Memorial Day weekend 2010.
It was my first visit to Seattle and The GHS was perfect.
We stayed in room 1511
Great location! walking distance to PPM.
Big bathroom and room. Shower & Tub.
Good valet service! My Bff and I used the valet during our whole stay. We went in and out through out our whole stay...I think they got sick of us... they were really good though, just call from your room and they'll get your car for you.
-1 because they didn't have any options for food/drinks during the late night. no room service at night which sucked. We ended up walking around town for 45 mins until we found someplace open (subway).
If you're looking for a hotel to stay while visiting Seattle, book at the GH! -

wonderful wonderful wonderful!!!
I just got back from a weekend in seattle, and ended up booking a room at the grand hyatt. It was such a beautiful hotel and the staff very accomodating. the location was great, (1.5 block away from the light rail station!!) and it was in the middle of a shopping district.
I usually have a heightened sense of germaphobia when staying at a hotel, but here, I felt very much at ease. Everything was squeaky clean!
everything from check in to check out was a breeze and I'd recommend this hotel to anyone who's looking for a quiet, beautiful place to stay in seattle. -

Philadelphia, PA
A perfect location, spacious room, and a beautiful view of the Puget sound were welcome respite during my weekend visit to Seattle to run the Rock n Roll Half Marathon. I was surprised when I checked in, as my usual experience with "group rate" rooms when I don't have status with a hotel has not been good, to see that I had such a great corner room with a view.
The king size bed was perfectly comfortable, and the room itself was huge. The bathroom, as others have commented, is immense, with a large double sink, glassed in stand-up shower, and separate soaking tub. As I was traveling alone, I probably could have done without the large wall of mirror directly opposite the shower (and I definitely could have done without that same wall of mirror being opposite the toilet!)
The "foyer" area of the room with the floor to ceiling mirror and marble shelf/stand for keys, etc is genius. And the room is actually big enough that it doesn't seem out of place.
The Grand Hyatt is within easy walking distance to Pike Place Market, Pioneer Square, the Space Needle, etc. - I didn't have a car and definitely didn't feel like I would have needed one for a nice weekend in the city. Also within walking distance of some great restaurants and lounges - I can't comment on those since I was just there to run - and running a half marathon with a hangover wasn't going to happen!
My only quibble is that the hotel is far from sound-proof. You can hear the comings and goings of every guest in surrounding rooms. While I was lucky, and this wasn't a factor late into the night, there also was not a convention in town - given the proximity of the hotel to the convention center, that could easily change if there was one there.
All in all a great experience - I'd stay here again. -

I love this hotel. The rooms are nice, and the bathroom is HUGE!! I'm a sucker for a huge bathroom because, let's face it, girls spend a lot of time there. The hotel room fits 4 very comfortably. It's really close to everything we were going to do during our stay in Seattle. The beds were comfortable, and the staff are cute (cute as in, the cleaning lady left us a thank you note!), nice and helpful. One thing that does not exactly make sense to me is, they put the TV in front of one bed and not between the two beds. What if the person[s] on the other bed wanted to watch TV too?
My only complaint is $36 valet parking... per day. Seattle parking is steep! (pun intended, not funny huh?) -

Not as "Grand" as expected. The staff was so mellow - perhaps a northwestern thing. We tried to joke around with the front desk people when we arrived but got no response. It continued on like that at each visit. The free apples were a nice touch so that was a good reason to visit the FD.
We were there for a convention. There was no lobby bar to convene at so that blew. The banquet food was bland and boring.
The rooms are amazing though - comfy beds and pillows and spacious bathrooms like you'd find at the Venetian in Vegas. -

Stayed here 7 nights...
The view was fantastic (we were on 26th floor). We had 2 bathrooms, king bed, living room area with a bar (fridge, sink, coffeemaker, lots of counter space) Lots of closet space and a vanity. Shower and tub are INTENSE. The shower had 2 separately operating showerheads, and the bathtub is huge! I'm a slow bath taker; I like to read, soak, play in the bubbles, relax. I couldn't handle but 20 minutes in this thing; I think I underestimated it! TIP: Be sure to stop by the lovelies at Lush at Westlake Plaza and pick up a bubble bar and a bath bomb for a truly extravagant bath experience.
Our room was very clean and fresh. Employees were kind and helpful. I was especially impressed by the "do not disturb" switch at the door. You just turn a little light on that tells staff not to come by, clean the room, etc. I slept on a rollaway cot right next to the sweeping view. The cot was cozy and comfortable. There are small windows that will open, and you can have the air circulate in your room; I liked this.
Very convenient location; close to the bus, the light rail, walking distance to walgreens, whole foods, sushi train restaurant in the SAME BUILDING, walking distance to , well, everything!.
Skip the starbucks and go around the corner to Cafe Ladro. You'll hardly wait in line, and the brew's better. -
Review from Faye m.
Loved this hotel and I'm glad that I stayed here for my first visit to Seattle! It's in a really good location - we walked almost everywhere from here - Pike Place Market, SAM, Japonessa (right across from SAM), Westlake Center, etc.
Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious and had a shower and a separate tub! I didn't use the tub, but my sister enjoyed soaking every night in there after our long days of walking around exploring Seattle!
We were supposed to use the exercise room, but never got around to it - we did check it out though, and it was very nicely equipped! The business center, on the other hand was kind of a disappointment. There was only 2 computers and there's a charge to use the computer and print out anything you may need! That's crazy. There was free boarding ticket printing, but still...that kinda sucked. It seems like the higher you go on the hotel ladder, you get nickle and dimed.
Employees here were very friendly and always acknowledged us whenever we cam into contact. We did have late night happy hour at the Ruth's Chris Steakhouse that is adjoined and service was very good.
I'd stay here again...especially if we got another great deal online!! -

My partner and I just spent 3 nights in an Emerald Suite at the Seattle Grand Hyatt. It was worth every penny. What an unforgettable experience! We were on the 29th floor, and had incredible views of both the Space Needle AND Elliott Bay. The views were breathtaking. The room itself was elegantly furnished - and I loved that the bathroom had both a soaking tub and a separate shower. Very nice!
We had minimal contact with the staff here - but were greeted warmly by the front desk clerk (Jocelyn) upon arrival. On our last night, we splurged for room service. Expecting the portions to be tiny, we ordered SEVERAL items from the menu. Big mistake. The portions were huge, and ended up with more food than we could eat. Everything was delicious. I especially recommend the Dungeness Crab Cakes, and the Brownie Trio dessert.
The location is great - we were able to walk to Pioneer Square and Pike Place Market rather easily.. (though be warned, it's a brutal uphill climb back for midwest "flat-landers" like us!) The parking is outrageously expensive - my only gripe. $28 a day (self-parking) really adds up when you spend 3 nights! Ouch!
Overall, I was so pleased with the high level of quality from this hotel. It's great when you actually 'get what you pay for'! -

Perfect if you are attending conferences or tradeshows at the Washington State Convention Center. It's right across the street!!
Conveniently located in downtown, it's just 5-10 minutes away from Pike Place and right next to all the shopping. Niketown, H&M, Levi's, Nordstrom are all within a 1-2 block radius. Dining-wise, all the big chain restaurants are nearby, like Cheesecake and Daily Grill but I like to support local restaurants and they are more of a walk since many are located past Pike and Pine.
As for the rooms itself, the bed was very nice, and the room extremely spacious. The bathroom was a treat too with a seperate tub & shower. $10 a day for wi-fi which is reasonable but I wish Hyatt can start offering free wi-fi soon since many are starting to do so.
One thing that did annoy me was when I forgot to turn the privacy light off and called to requested housekeeping to have my room refreshed, they told me that housekeeping already left at 6pm. That's the first time I've ever heard of such thing. I've had my rooms refreshed at the Westin, Doubletree, and other big hotels past 6pm. Maybe that's the policy but that was annoying so I just requested fresh towels.
24 hour fitness center is a great plus. Water, towels, everything is provided. All you need is gym apparel!
Great place to stay since the amenities are good and the location is top notch. -

I haven't stayed in the rooms here, so I lacked the proper opportunity to talk on my cell while nude and adjust myself. I have, however, attended a conference held at the hotel.
Best. Hotel. Conference. EVAR.
The conference rooms themselves were tasteful and modern, and our main conference hall's lighting helped me to stay awake during the slower moments. The staff were all friendly and professional, and incredibly attentive.
Most conference food balances somewhere between wedding food and cafeteria cuisine; the catering at the Hyatt Grand blew me away. Every meal, from breakfast through evening apps, was made with superior ingredients and tasted heavenly. They deftly accommodated halal, vegetarian, and meat-a-tarian.
Finally, the men's room KICKS ASS. Normally I'm not thrilled to make a #2 in public, but the bathroom stalls in the men's room are all their own little room, with a closing and locking door, marble and wood accents, and individual ventilation. Brilliant. I'll drive across the bridge just to make a deuce at the Hyatt.Listed in: Best Places to Take a Crap
