I was fortune to been to the Grand Havana Room over 10 years ago. I was real excited when my friend got us invited  to the Grand Havana Room.
It is a cigar's smokers dream. A fun place to smoke cigar's, without getting dirty look from non smokers.
    Great service.
The staff are real warm and seem to care that you are happy
I sure hope I get invited back soon.

I have been here several times as an invited guest of a memeber which is the only way non-member can gain enterence.  I love going here because it gets me to the west side and out of SGV and sharing time with some very good and intelligent people that have become my friends.

This is one of the very few places you can bring your own cigars, get a drink and watch the game.

I was hoping for more comradery among fellow cigar smokers but everyone seems pretty uptight and keeps to themselves. I was also hoping to meet more cigar purist here but this place is mostly about being seen, not totally unexpected given the address, hence the 3 stars.

The wait staff is very good and friendly, the food is great and reasonably priced.  I would suggest avoiding the wine, as I discovered the house wine to be expensive.  Stick to scotch here.

They show all fights and games, but closed on Sundays.

Came here for the manny/shane fight this past saturday with a friends' friends who happened to be members.

This place is great as you can smoke anywhere inside or out although it can make you feel a bit light headed and sick because the cigar smoke never seems to be airated by the open doors. Maybe its because I was at the front of the table and the air coming in from the open doors behind me was keeping smoke by me the whole night (the bitch seat perhaps?)

This place has a private cigar storage room with rows and rows of small lockers for members, although some have not been im sure for years and years and years!

You may or may not get a friendly waitress here depending on which girl you get.

We ordered the tomato soup which was so thick and lumpy and definitely on the top 5 list of tomato soups I have ever had. Don't let my "lumpy" adjective deter you, if you prefer I will say "textured"! Everyone knows I love my tomato soup/ tomato anything, so take that as a big compliment and try it!! As another appetizer we got a Caesar salad which I only had a bite of but it was alright, get your own as its not enough to share with people.

We then ordered their margarita pizza and their prosciutto pizza which were both thin crust and tasted good. We got three pastas to share between the 5 of us, one was a risotto, the other two I do not remember but I do remember at least the risotto was good.

I got an expresso at the end of the night which was very good. The vibe of the crowd in the club that night, although filled with mostly men, with women scattered all over was pretty laid back.

If you have a chance to be invited to the club, definitely take your invite-or up on their offer.

The decor is pretty cool, very masculine which I love. The one thing I don't like about it is it had a tacky feel that you get when you go into a deli or tailor, with all the pictures up on the wall of the celebrities who are members.

you have to KNOW someone to get it
    Great food.
    killer burgers
I was not happy with my pizza but the burger and sushi was excellent.
If you are lucky enough to get invited, buy your guest a meal...be a sport, it ain't cheap to be a member

It's weird to have passed this place so many times and never even know that it existed. The only reason I know now was because a member was gracious enough to invite me here.

I'm not a huge cigar person (I've literally never finished one in my life) but if you are, this place is amazing. Even though its members (and their guests) only, it doesn't seem at all snooty or stuck-up. The people here were very nice and friendly.

As you'd expect, the service is fast and friendly The food was surprisingly good. I tried both the pizza and the calamari and both were delicious.

It's also cool that each member has their own compartment in the humidor and you can see the names of the all bigwigs who are members.

My only two complaints is that parking in this area is horrible and that your clothes do really end up smelling like smoke. Since the place is pretty upscale, you'll probably end up having to dry-clean after this.

Overall, an awesome place for cigar enthusiasts. If I ever take-up the habit, they'll be seeing my application.

First time in a cigar bar and it was pretty magical. Not that I'm a cigar puffer but it was just so classy! We stopped by here so that a friend can pick up some cigars from his private case, It was rows and rows of these private boxes in the glass room that I'm assuming had specific temperature to keep the cigars fresh. I believe the location of the boxes were based on importance of the owners since the one closest to the door was Arnold Swarchenneger's and otherfamous people. Our friend made a joke about it as in climbed up the rolling ladder to reach his box. haha.

The place had big plush couches and I'm assuming there was a bar as I saw people having a drink and puffing away. It looked like a scene from a movie and it just looked so glamorous. I've never been to a cigar bar in my life but considering the regulars (celebrities and public figures) that frequent this place and also for the pure fact of its location, I'm assuming it's one of the classier joints.

Great place. I was an invited guest of a member. We were originally supposed to meet at another cigar lounge, but it turned out to be closed on a Saturday afternoon. The member suggested we walk a few blocks to Grand Havana Room and it was well worth it.

The lounge is well decorated with quaint tables and lounges seating around the edge of the room. There is a bar, humidor and kitchen. There were three of us and we each ordered a different pizza and shared. They were each delicious.

As everyone has said, you need to be a member or the guest of a member. And from what I understand, it is pretty dang hard to get a membership. The wait can be several months or more than a year.

    ABSOLUTE PUFF-ECTION

    Yes, it's exclusive.
Yes, you have to be a member or the guest of a member to get in.
Yes, you need a special elevator key to get in.
Yes, it costs a few grand plus a few hundred bucks each month to join.
Yes, you may find yourself lighting up next to Arnold or Mel or DeNiro.
And yes, it's fuckin' worth it.

Yet despite all that exclusivity, the Grand Havana Room doesn't have a pretentious feel to it.  To call it a room hardly does it justice, for this is more than a room.  This is a sanctuary; the tree house reinvented; an inviting, cedar-scented enclave with sumptuous leather chairs, single malt scotch, and impeccable service where time seems to slow down.

It's the kind of place that makes you wish you could be reborn as a Cuban cigar just so could have a shot at calling this place home.

    Five emphatic stars.

    Yes... I am a member
I like my cigars.  It's a fine upscale place which you may find yourself invited by a friend to.

Dining is excellent, recently launched Italian cuisine new kitchen with cuisine by the Drago Brothers, of Il Fornaio, Tanino and many others.

Yes there is celebrity sightings, but it is very grounded and stargawkers are not tolerated. A refuge for smokers in an age where we just aren't welcome elsewhere.

Grand Havana has great Wine, Italian food, Sushi and lil things like burgers or chili are specialties of the house.

service is great also, but of course you need to be a member or with a member.

Please note, they are very selective on memberships.

It's very cool to be in such an exclusive atmosphere. Though, when I ran into a long time friend, his dining partner asked me "Who do you know that is a member, what's his name and what does he do?" I felt like I was on an interview... with a stuck up L.A. director. But, I guess that is part and parcel with going to a place that is members (and guests) only.
The atmosphere is not amazing...it's a bit "manly"...meaning I felt like I had entered into a man cave. It felt like an airport premier member lounge to me. However, the one outstanding atmospheric element was that it smelled. Ok, I get it. It's a cigar lounge. But, I was eating there...and it was a bit overpowering. Not to mention the fact that I stunk SO bad when I went home. There were some celebrities there but you definitely get the vibe that they are not to be talked to or bothered.

Now, here is what I did like... the food! The pizzas were thin and delicious. And inventive! A niscoise pizza!?? Who knew that could be good!!! Also, we at the sushi (after I got over the fact that it was weird to be at a cigar lounge eating sushi)...and it was really delicious. I was very impressed!!! Yummy rolls, fresh sashimi and a nice presentation.
But the absolute standout of the whole evening was the dessert. We had the molten lava cake and the fresh baked cookies. OH MY GOD. So freaking good. I am not even a sweet fan...but I was in heaven. Those cookies...so warm and soft that they practically fell apart as I picked them up. Out-fricken-standing.
I would go back...but I would remember to have a new set of clothing and some "dry clean only" hair spray in my car. Yes, I am that girl. I go to a cigar lounge and complain about the smoke. Get over it.

I am not a member, but was fortunate enough to know one.  I expected a room full of old men and a thick cloud of smoke.  Instead I was met with a comfortable room full of couches and tables to meet your desire.  The food selection was pretty large - from sushi to American.  I chose the burger which was so yummy and too large for me to finish.  If you go, you have to get the cookies for dessert - they are warm and gooey!!

One burger, two cookies, some cheese, a glass of wine, one of whiskey, my first cigar, and five hours later I can say, I can't wait until next time!

This place is pretty dam sweet. It's one of the last places you can smoke inside in LA, the crowd is almost all power players, they serve excellent food, wine and smoke. The cookies are awesome.

The only problem is that some people let the "exclusive membership" go to their head.

This one doesn't quite fit any of the categories. It is a private cigar club/restaurant. With only 400 members (including most of the famous and wealthy cigar smokers in the city), it is a bit exclusive. If you do have the opportunity to receive an invite from one of the members, you'll have an experience not soon forgotten.

In the largest humidor in the world you'll find the private cigar lockers of Gov. Schwarzenegger and Shaquille O'Neil among others. The service is exceptional.  I was so distracted by the beautiful servers and Peter Weller (robo cop) playing a trumpet, it was hard to focus on the food.

I know this is totally NOT a burger joint, but they do make a fabulous one.  This place is fun, not that I'd get wild and crazy in here, but you can eat great food, sip on even greater libations, enjoy a cigar and sit back and chat with friends, maybe even about which actor you just saw across the room.  I think you need a membership to get in, and memberships are by invite only.  But if you know someone who has one, ask them to take you just once...for the burger of course :)

P.S. I think Jeff Goldbloom is in that same band with RoboCop, at least he was when I would go.

I had my first one and a half cigars at this place tonight--it was great fun!  The place has neat high-ceilings, was just the right type of not-too-crowded for a Tuesday night, and gave my coworkers and I a few more celebrity sightings for posterity.

I am a very dorky girl who had to take a call out on the patio for work as soon as the beefy burger arrived, but the two ladies out on the patio sincerely told me they didn't mind (I soooo didn't want to be the obnoxious, self-important workerbee ruining the relaxed vibe).  That was just it: there was a nice mix of ages and sorts of people there, lounging about on the couches and club chairs, with others like us seated for relaxing dinners and, ta-tah: cigar puffing!  I want my boss to take me back here soon...I will now jump at the chance to try another cigar (or two) the next time they are offered up at a fancy shindig.

My one regret: I have no idea how to blow a ring of smoke.

For being an exclusive cigar lounge in Beverly Hills, it was surprising to be in such a relaxed atmosphere.  We went on a night it was not so crowded so it felt like we had the place to ourselves.  I felt so comfortable that I decided to try my first Cohiba.  We brought our own wine and had some good conversation.  The room has high ceilings so it doesn't feel smoky.  The service was attentive and friendly.  If you get invited, definitely worth checking out.

Pretty damn cool.  I was invited as a guest.  The scene is cool.  Lots of couches, an open space and a cool room to the site containing a wall of cigar lockers.  The food is pretty good but you go for the scene.  I'd love to return.

Thought I was walking into a strip club judging he girl manning the door, who gave me a dirty look like I was begging for change as I came in (single girl meeting friends already inside, are unaccompanied women not allowed?).  Once I found my party, things went a little better.  Surprisingly good sushi and great recommendation on wine from the waitress.  But why serve wine (and expensive champagne) in cheap glasses? And the room is a bit AA Admiral's Club circa 1993.  Not super impressed.
