I'm sure if you looked in the dictionary  for "great neighborhood bar" a picture of 275 Grand would be right there. The great mix of people, cool music and friendly bartenders make this a great "go to" spot.  As in "go to"  when you don't feel like leaving the neighborhood, as in "go to" if ya just need to get out of the house and as in "go to" even if ya don't live in Brooklyn.

The only reason why I didn't  give it 5 stars is because the drink menu leans a little toward the "Sex in The City", frou frou, girly, sugar in a glass side.

What sucks about 275 Grand? Nothing. Nothing at all.

Everything you can ask for in a neighborhood bar. Great drinks, even better music and even better people! The bartenders are amazing and you will leave there with new friends. Easily the best bar in Clinton Hill.

one of the best crowds in brooklyn as far as i can tell.   great music, fun drinks (i love the raspberry-ginger martini), i've always had fun here.  the sandwiches are tasty too.

haven't been for brunch, but i will definitely go soon.

The bartenders at the cafe/lounge are sooooooooooo SWEET and fun!  Grand has a small menu for some munchies, I have never had the food there but my friends eat there a lot and say it's great. They have REALLY good vodkas, and can make innovative martinis, that are spectacular! Also, they just got WIFI! The place is small in size, so it can get packed, so if you are going drinking, arrive a little early!

I stopped in here by myself one weekday evening a few months back.  The bartenders were fascinating and friendly people, and so were the few other patrons sitting at the bar with me.  I had a few beers and a peanut butter and banana sandwich, and wandered out grinning, reminded that the world is a beautiful place.

I just moved to the neighborhood and based on Yelp reviews, decided to give this place a try with a girlfriend last night. Glad I did! It's a cute little place with simple decor, nothing fancy. I had mixed drinks and my friend had fresh ginger tea (her stomach wasn't feeling good). There was a DJ but it wasn't too loud (mostly 90s hip hop). Toward the end of the night, people even started dancing. I don't know about starting the night off here, it was a little dead when we showed up around 10:30 but it's definitely the place to finish the night if you live around here. Only one bathroom and it's cash only - those are the only bummers. Friendly bartenders - got a free sugary shot and some nice neighborhood tips. When my stool disappeared slash was stolen while I was in the bathroom, the bartender noticed and brought me a new one without being asked or anything. Even the other people at the bar were friendly; talked to the guy next to me about music for a little while. They have wifi; a lady did have her notebook in there. Overall, totally cute and I see myself hanging here a lot in the future. The bartender also told me about Sunday brunch (definitely going to try it soon) and weekday happy hours that sound appealing.

I liked this place a lot! It is painted apple red on the outside and then once indoors, there is one lime green wall behind the bar. I went with a friend for Sunday brunch. It happened to be so sunny out, that we sat at one of their outdoor tables, (there are two) and a super cute wooden bench, if you are waiting for someone, or if you simply want to drink your coffee in the sun. Sunday is their  $11 brunch special. You get a very small menu to choose from, which also includes a mimosa or bloody mary and coffee/tea or OJ...... I ordered the scrambled eggs, with a side salad and toast. The eggs were cooked to perfection. More and more I am enjoying side salads with eggs. The Coffee was rich and yumma, however my only complaint would have to be the bloody mary, which was probably one of the worst bloody mary's I have ever tasted. It was watery, it needed tons of tomato juice and less vodka. When I went in to use the ladies room there was a dj spinning afternoon funk and the vibe was laid-back with a refreshing plethora of friendly people.
