When i was in grad school at Univ of SC I loved to hang at Gracie's. It is a nice place, with good drinks and some decent food. Many evenings started here and often ended here.
Fun bar with a slightly more upscale crowd - think young professionals right out of college or grad school students.
Well worth the price of admission. As a college student ending my junior year going into the senior year, I really wanted to find a place in 5 pts. that was not trashy as some of the other places. A trendy upscale bar where the bartenders instantly recognize your face & name. A bar within reach of USC, but not in the Vista area. A bar where grads and professionals can hang out. I found that bar. That bar is named Gracie's (named after the owners newly born daughter). I absolutely love the bar (oak or rosewood?) and the fireplace cozily tucked away in the corner with a couple of couches.
Get there early. This place gets slammed packed after 10PM. One of my favorite watering holes back in the day. Nice place for the beautiful and all the young professionals.
