2 reviews for Grace Hart & Co.
This is a fun place to wander through while drinking your coffee beverage of choice from Crickets. They're next to each other, almost attached by means of an entryway.
There are many stalls rented by different people. Items range from really neat antique furniture (armoires, vanities with the really big mirrors, butler desks, ect) to garage sale kitsch (or is that just junk?). Costume jewelry, knick knacks, tins.
What I really like about Grace Hart & Co is that you can get repair work on certain things like lamps and they even re-upholster furniture here. In fact, on my recent visit I noticed a sign in the window. Apparently they will even make custom furniture. "You design it - we make it." Not certain how reasonable the prices are, but it's nice to know that there is somewhere to go if I "just have to have" a specific furniture idea realized.
Almost dense enough to be an antique warehouse. The store is divided into booths, so you can skim over the junk collectors quickly in favor of the beautiful vintage glassware, jewelry, furniture, and decor items. Prices vary from booth to booth, but most were reasonable (or even cheap). Booths aren't attended specifically, but there are several roaming helpers who can walk you through your purchase. Of all the antique markets in the 19th street area, this one has one of the best treasure to trash ratios.
