2 reviews for Goten of Japan Restrnt
I don't care what anyone says, I love this place. It's a good bargain -- soup (delicious soup), salad (awesome house dressing), shrimp appetizer, the meal (super tasty), ice cream (they'll give you fruit if you're lactose intolerant), and green tea -- all for only 20-25.00. That's not bad, especially when you consider you're also getting a show (Habachi style -- they cook right in front of you). My other half complains because they make you sit with strangers around the grill, but I don't mind. He also hates that, "the food all tastes the same." That's when I say, "yah... it all tastes delicious."
Plus, the waitress will wrap your leftovers in tinfoil -- trying to sculpt any animal you can think of. Granted, peacocks and whales are their forte -- but they're really good sports. I got an orangatan once.
Hm... I'm not a big fan of this place. It's in the middle of nowhere, the food is all the same - it's all hibachi with the same sauce for everything. The noodles are flavorless. But the drinks are usually pretty good. Goten is also pretty expensive.
It's also got waitresses dressed in kimonos, which is questionable, since most of them are not Japanese. I don't like to go there unless I'm forced to or if someone is offering to pay.
