A friend recommended Goskand for our family's ski and snowboard rentals. We were greeted warmly upon entering this family owned small business. Jakub & Andrew were very helpful with their suggestions since we are novice skiers. They had quite a selection of equipment & clothing for sale as well. We ended up spending more on new ski jackets and other necessities. You don't need an appointment however calling or emailing ahead is recommended to see if they received enough rentals. We were grateful their inventory wasn't already depleted (in early October) like several other places we tried. We'll be coming here first next time!

My boyfriend and I just bought a full set of cross country skis, poles, boots, and bindings, and we had a great experience at Goskand. They had options for us to choose from, great customer service and outfitting, and were reasonably priced. And family-owned, too! We will definitely be returning.

A friend recommended Goskand when I said I was looking for season ski rentals for my son. I've always gone to Viking in the past, but have been disappointed recently (and their prices have gone way up!). At Goskand, Andrew was very helpful and got my son set up for the ski season. Prices for season rentals are very reasonable. They also have a great selection of outdoor gear. I highly recommend Goskand Sports, and I already plan to rent ski gear for my kids next year.

I almost didn't want to let the secret of Goskand out, but I couldn't agree more with Kris.

      This place is awesome.

You can't miss it on Harlem, the giant sign with skiers on it let's everyone know what Goskand is about.

They have an amazing supply of skiing and snowboarding equipment.

The Polish gentleman who runs it answers the door (you have to rung a buzzer due to the $$ equipment inside), and if you're buying soccer equipment, he's your new best friend.

Goskand carries a great array of Chicago Fire gear as well. I couldn't afford a licensed jersey, and few places offer more than lousy Fire t-shirts. Goskand had awesome non-licensed jerseys for less than $30. I couldn't believe it; I almost bought two.

They also have a full stock of international scarves for your favorite footy team, as well as select jerseys for European teams.

Goskand is only about three quarters of a mile south of the Harlem exit from I55, or a short bus ride on the CTA 62 bus.

Midway is soooo lucky to have such a wonderful sporting goods store!! Owned by the sweetest Polish man in town! Goskand is WELL known for their ample supply of skiing/snowboarding, which is their main attraction BUT they have everything else you can think of....They've been supplying me throughout the years with all my new sporting endeavours...volleyball, softball, snowbarding, and basketball!

      no ice-skates, sorry :/

Decent place for skis and soccer stuff (jackets, jerseys, skis, boots etc). Run by a polish family, and all the customers are pretty much polish as well. It's privately owned so you may find/negotiate price for some of the stuff (especially older inventories). The ski guy could be a little nicer and a little more attentive. Not a huge selection for skis but if they have what you want, the place is worth a trip for price comparison.

This is the best place for ski equipment. I live in north Suburbs, so is a long drive there but every year i go there. Prices are good, and owners are very nice. Highly recommended.

I live in the city and drove all the way out to this place top pick up some gear for an upcoming ski trip. The place was closed at 2:30 on a Sunday afternoon! The website clearly states their hours as 12-5PM. Went to REI and bought the stuff I needed. Thats $300 they missed out on!
