This has got to be one of the friendliest, most welcoming pizza joints I've been to in a long time.  The service was fast (our take-out pie was ready in less than the ten minutes promised, the owner came out from the behind the counter to show us give us a ferry schedule).  The bathrooms were clean, the prices right, and they offer free Wi-Fi.  How cool is that?  Free Wi-Fi with  your pizza order!

The pie itself was above average, crispy crust and the right proportions of cheese and sauce.  Once in our, the box of pizza filled the passenger compartment with good pizza smells.

And, although we did not have a chance to order any, I did notice a small selection of high quality local micro-brews on tap instead of the usual mediocre big brands.  I'd love to go back and have a Mack and Jack with my next pie.

A quick glance in the case showed a wide selection of deserts, but we did not have a chance to sample any.

If you don't expect any of that thin-crust, fancy-schmantzy Neapolitan they charge so much for in the big city, you will be very happy.

Came here for lunch and found it very strange you sit, then go order at the counter. Don't try to change or make substitutions because they don't exist. And .50 for extra ranch or ketchup is silly. With all that leading up to getting our food, the food was actually good.

It wouldn't still be in PA, if it wasn't good. The local's love it. Definitely NOT a chain. If you want cheaper pizza and faster try domino's you will get what you pay for. Try the Piggyback sandwich, it's really good!

The only time I've had better is at Nonna Amelia's in Oregon.

My only complaint is they need a bigger delivery area.

Gordy's is sort of an interesting dining experience. It looks like a typical sit down restaurant, but works more like a delicatessen.

They have menus at the front and at a counter near the door. Once you walk in, you place your order at the front counter and then sit yourself down. At some point, they will call out your number and you pick up the meal from the counter and take it back to your place. There are no servers (at least while I was here).

It sort of makes the initial ordering a bit slow: if you've never been there before, opening up a new menu and finding what you want to eat can take some time. Plus, having the cashier standing in front of you drumming her fingers on the counter with people stamping their feet behind you makes this a little more hectic.

Eventually, I settled on a half order of the lasagna (the pizza seemed a bit pricey, part of a tourist mark up?) and some tea. The lasagna was basic but reasonably tasty. The half portion is probably enough for one person unless you're really hungry. It also came with some garlic bread that was fairly well done. Not an amazing meal, but satisfying enough.

One last thing. The set up at this restaurant does raise the Reservoir Dogs question: you pay when you first place your order and there's a section underneath for the tip. What is the appropriate tip in this situation? There's only someone taking your order at the register, you pick up the food yourself. In essence it's almost like a take out experience except you're eating there. Nothing? $1? 20%?

Good food, interesting environment.  An Italian place with German music.  The decor was pleasant, the food was good and fast.  We were greeted pleasantly and it was all wonderful from there.  We arrived for lunch and there was quiet seating in the back.

For a local relaxed setting family pizza joint this place gets a five star rating! Our favorite after a hiking trip int the olympics!

its just so good. my mouth waters thinking about Gordy's. now this could be because I usually go there after hiking, and so my appetite is huge, but regardless this is about my experience...and my experience with Gordy's has been delicious every time! Our favorite pizza there is the make your own with pesto sauce and pepperoni, asiago, garlic and tomatoes.

They also have a good selection or beers, like last time they had I think mac n jacks, whistling pig heffe, a deschutes one, and another good one, cant remember but trust me it is a great pizza place if thats what your looking for in P.A.

Pros: they make decent pizza. They have electricity... Um... they speak English and accept US currency, as well as major credit cards. That might be all I can say for this place. Wait, they have more than one soda to choose from and their ice cubes are cold.

Cons: understaffed. The place was slammed, but there were three (maybe four) people working. Not very clean. Pulled a fork out of the bin and there was a big old hair wrapped around it. Pricey. I'm willing to pay $25 for a 15" pizza if it's worth it. This wasn't.

I can see where somebody who's been camping in the mountains for a week would think this tastes really good. But then again, after eating a couple dozen freeze dried meals with a spork, McDonald's may pass as "gourmet". The pizza was tasty, not great, but not horrible.  Then again, you have to really try to mess up pizza.

It was overpriced by about 10 bucks in my opinion. Sure, when you're the only pizza joint for miles, you can get away with that... But after every bite I couldn't help but think, "I could be eating Zeeks or Garlic Jims."

They were super busy (which may say something contrary to my opinion), and the pressure was making them crack. The gal behind the register got all flustered when I asked if I could substitute a child's soda (which I had already paid for) for a glass of milk. You would think I'd just asked her to explain Einstein's theory of relativity. It's not that big of a deal (like I told her), it's just milk.

Oh, and while I was filling my soft drinks, I heard her tell the people behind me that if they ordered theirs as carry-out, it would go faster. AND, that they could still eat it there. Nice tip. Wish I would've known when I placed my order. The next three people got their pizzas before ours, all in cardboard boxes, and proceeded to eat in the dining area just like the rest of us suckers who ordered ours as the slower dine-in option.

Next time I'm in Port Angeles, I'll move on down the road and wait until I'm back in Seattle to satisfy my pizza cravings. Not worth it.

A fine respite after a long ferry ride, it got a bit hectic with the kids but they eventually settled down to eat.  We ordered the Hawaiian and Mexican pizzas, both were fairly good but the Mexican pizza was the better.  We also ordered some salad which was tasty, but ok...
They don't have waiter service, so be forewarned...

I never write Yelp reviews, but Gordy's has awesome service. Family owned for 47 years! Huge selection of pizza, apps, sandwhiches and pastas. And they have cookies in a cup, which are dangerously good! Try getting just one cup. Just try, its impossible. Great experience here.

I head here with my toddler when we want to eat pizza at a restaurant (as opposed to delivery, in which case I recommend West Side). The setup (order at the counter, help yourself to plates, cutlery, water) lends itself to dining with kids, but it's a step up from fast food because you can get yourself a beer. The pizza is decent and nobody will mind if your kid runs around a little. Unless you are here to eat plastic grapes, who cares about the decor? Enjoy it ironically, or take your hipster ass back to Seattle.

Went here with my father for dinner tonight. Definitely reccomend this place. Second time here, you just can't get pizza like this at the major chains. On one review page it says they don't accept credit cards but I used mine just earlier. They do accept credit cards. We will be going back soon to try their pastas.

Amazing pizza!  I stop in here after every hiking trip on the Coast or in the Olympics.  They have a build your own pizza option for $12.00 and the extra large pizzas are only $15.  Get pizza and people at great prices.  I highly recommend this place if you're in town for any length of time.

The pizzas looked amazingly delicious. However the flavors did not seem to come out as well as the presentation did. They have a very large selection of pizzas and pastas ect. on their menu. The food did not have that grease complexion or taste like some of the fast food pizza chains do.

Their pizzas look great, but are bland.  Service is also horrible.  I spent more time at the counter than with my family.  What a waste.

the place to be in port angeles.  this place was packed with locals and tourists.  long line to order and long wait for the food.  you order at the counter and pick up at the counter when number is called.  felt like the neighborhood pizza and beer joint.  the pizza was light and tasty and the sandwich was heavy and hearty.  it filled us up.  prices were a little high (16.50 for med pizza) for a laid back restaurant but the beer prices were reasonable ($3 a pint).  can' go wrong place to go in port angeles.
