Great for happy hour. Period. I'd go elsewhere for dinner. This is a chain and its hard to give any chain more then 3 stars (A-ok).
The beers and apps will run about $5 each.
Party: 5
Order: 3 order Glazed chicken wings, 2 Garlic fries, 1 Southwest egg rolls, 6 Pilsner's (I had 2 *haha*)
You can only have it at the bar area which sucks because there's not enough space and it can get crowded quick. We were fortunate enough to have a table but I can see how it could be difficult for those who want to take full advantage of the happy hour menu but cant due to lack of space.
Gordon Biersch has always been a staple of mine here in the city. The inevitable question will always be asked when making plans to go out to eat: "Where should we go?" A lot of times this question is followed by, "Somewhere on the water," and when it is, Gordon Biersch is always the place I think of first. Why? Because it's a lot more reasonable than a lot of the fancy restaurants that line the Embarcadero.
The view is amazing seeing as how the restaurant is nestled right beside the Bay Bridge and the scene is always good. This is the hot spot to eat good grub and watch the big game.
I typically always order the hummus salad. It comes served on top of some thick and yummy pita bread. It's healthy and satisfying but lately I've felt it's been slipping a tad; I may have to switch it up. I've also had the calamari; I'm not a huge calamari fan but it was pretty darn good.
Next time you need a fun spot to watch some sports, drink some beers and enjoy a great view, I would strongly recommend checking out Gordon Biersch. It may be a chain but this particular one has a lot to offer.
FOOD:
I had the pulled pork sandwich, which I felt was a bit dry and rough. The garlic fries were DELISH! My favorite was the glazed chicken wings!!! They were the second best chicken wings I've ever had in my LIFE! (My grandma's chicken wings are second to no one). =D
The artichoke hearts were ok, but nothing I'd rave about.
The pomegranate mojito was perfect! It made it to my list of top drinks for sure.
AMBIANCE:
Great place for happy hour. It has a full bar, and many standing tables on one side for happy hour dining. The other side is filled with tables for regular diners not there for happy hour.
Outdoor patio seating faces the Bay Bridge. Gorgeous view of the embarcadero!
SERVICE:
Our server Pete deserves more than the full 5 stars! He was GREAT! He was extremely helpful.
However, I had to take off a star because of he guy at the host desk. I was trying to find the restroom, and waited there for him to respond. I waited about 1 minute, because he was on the phone which I can understand. However, he was not even talking into the phone, just listening to something. Having worked several jobs before myself, I know customer service. When strapped up in a situation like that, the least you can do is to acknowledge the person's presence with eye contact, a smile, and signal them you'll be with them in just a sec. This guy was totally ignoring me. It is so obvious he sees me on the corner of his eye, I KNOW! The fact that it was a phone call that does not require speaking, he could have acknowledged my presence with ease. Another server finally walked passed me so I asked him instead. On my way back to my seat from the restroom, the host was off the phone, and was just staring at me rudely, nothing close to a friendly vibe coming from that stare. I thought about taking off 2 stars for that, but that wouldn't do Gordon Biersch too much justice since I need to take other factors into account.
PRICE:
My dinner, the pulled pork sandwich was 10 bucks or so i think. Happy hour! YAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!! $5 mojitos and margaritas! $5 appetizers! I just can't tell you how good the chicken wings are! They're sweet, with just a tiny hint of spiciness. GO TRY 'EM!!! =D
As my friends know, I do not like to review chain or franchise businesses because a) they are generally consistent with the corporate vision (meaning a normally three star experience) and b) their priority is the company's bottom line. Coming here for a weekend birthday lunch, our party of eight was seated near the bar area (we were the first table diners in the restaurant). I am writing this review because of the following restaurant no-no's:
1) Taking orders from every diner except for me (somewhat excusable since I told her I hadn't decided yet); simple math should tell you that you might have missed an order though. As she went to the order station and entered our orders on the computer, I returned the remaining table menus and told her my order. My shock was that she did not apologize or acknowledge any error on her part.
2) Ketchup Incident - The server brought our two side orders of Garlic Fries appetizers to the table. Noticing that there was no ketchup on the table, I walked to the bar and brought one bottle back. After finishing more than half of each order, the waitress finally returned to the table with two bottles of ketchup and mustard respectively, commenting, "Oh, you already have one!" Gee, wonder how it found its way to our table.
3) Special order becoming not so special - When I ordered my meal at the order station, I asked her to add mushrooms to my ham scramble. Guess what happened? No mushrooms. At this point, I was speechless and in a surly mood.
4) Ice water - At most restaurants, the waitress asks her customers whether they'd like ice water for the table. Midway through our meal, my friend asked her for a glass and quickly left the table without asking whether anyone else would like one. At this point, I was sizzling and feared that I would need to pour the ice water on my head to cool myself.
The food in general was "meh, I've experienced better", but the total experience left a sour taste in my mouth.
Maybe, it's because it was a long week at work.
Maybe, it was because we were stuck in a partly opened elevator, unable to exit for about five minutes, on the way to the restaurant.
Maybe, it's because the parking cashier originally charged us $10.00 per vehicle when parking is free with restaurant validation for three hours.
Maybe, it's just me... or maybe I shouldn't come back.
I went here on Saturday, Nov. 14th. It is truly only okay. Their alcohol selection is really very rudimentary. The pomegranate mojito I had was bordering on kinda gross. The appetizers were only so so. The whole thing was just so beaujois. Nothing at all special about this place.
Gordon Biersch changed my life. Seriously, they did. It was at this location that I discovered a culinary combination I might never have thought of otherwise. Warm pita bread pieces dipped in hummus on top of a salad. It was unlike anything I had ever had before.
A few years later I have yet to go back, but at least once a week I make a spinach salad with tofu, black beans, salsa, Honey Bunches Of Oats (trust me, it works) and the aforementioned bread pieces dipped in Trader Joe's tomato basil hummus.
I look forward to it each and every time, and I have Gordon Biersch to thank.
Def a fan of their garlic fries, good beer, great burgers!
Perfect place to eat before or after a Giants game. The view is awesome too.
Came here after Oktoberfest hoping for a better experience. It was not as expected. Everyone was really nice, hostess and waitress. But the food was not good. I expected the garlic fries to be smothered in garlic but it was like fries with garlic crumbles over... I had to use a fork to make sure I get fries and garlic together. When I order garlic fries I expect it to be fries with explosive garlic flavors.. but this was not even close to being the case.
I had the roast turkey half sandwich with lobster bisque and both were disappointing. If this food was free, I wouldn't complain but this food is normal to high priced. So c'mon!!! Get it together Gordon Biersch! Extremely disappointed.
Best garlic fries I've had so far. Good wings. Beer is okay; nothing spectacular but it's pretty decent. Service has been good so far. It gets a little spotty if there's a big crowd but you can tell that the crew try their best.
Pretty good place for drinks with co-workers after work if you're in the neighborhood.
My 200th review, I'm going to keep it simple...
Best garlic fries, great beers on tap, and a stunning view! Perfect place to eat before and/or after a Giants game. :-)
Recently went here for a bday on a saturday night. Didn't have any food, but had some good ole beer.
If you've ever been in any Gordon Biersch it is exactly the same. Except this one is next to the beautiful san francisco bay and overlooks the bay bridge. Don't expect very much - but expect consistency. Just like walking into a McDonald's anywhere in the world..consistency.
Nothing magnificent, nothing fancy - just a role player doing his job on a championship team.
I did come here for a company-sponsored HH where we had a private section/room. I thought that experience was better..which leads me to believe HH is better here (but what bar isn't around that area). Or perhaps I wasn't paying which made it better...things always taste better that way.
GB Marzen: Good
NY Strip Steak sando w/ garlic fries: Good
Combination of both?? Drooooool.
I'd never really had GB beer, but as a beero (yes, that's my equivalence to wino) I felt the Marzen was great and I'd love to come back to taste some more.
We stopped in for their sweet spot: beer and garlic fries. My parents enjoyed it, the service was great and friendly...
Drinks- pretty good, reasonably priced. Service- waitor was very nice. Food... meh, I've experienced better. Let's just say the best part of my meal was the candied walnuts. I ordered the salmon..... I've never sent anything back before, but I sure wanted to.... it didn't taste nor look cooked all the way through. Definitely not what I expected.
On the other hand, I was with good company, so it all balanced out into a nice evening. Please keep in mind, this is probably not the best place for a meal.
Happy Hour~

Sunday - Thursday. 10:00pm-close.

This is a great pre-game happy hour spot. Sit at the bar area to enjoy the specials or order off the regular menu.
My absolute must-haves are:
1) Glazed Chicken Wings. Delicious! Nice meaty bites with a hint of sweetness from the glaze. It reminds me of San Tung's dry fried chicken wings, but of course, not as good.
2) Garlic Fries!!!! The same ones served at the ballpark but for less! Yummmmy!! It's a bit different than actually having it at the game. But you can always take them to-go and bring them in! Haha.
Came to Gordon Biersch last week for HH. This place is crazy busy and we were offered a table (for 10) in about 45 min! So we sat near bad area and constructed our own table and gathered chairs.
Service was efficient but they were super busy so they didnt come by too much and we had more than one waiter.
Food was solid, i liked their garlic fries and chicken wings. Yumm. really noisy but seems like a solid HH spot. Kind of chilly inside from the bay breeze blowing in, dont sit near the door!
I love their HH.
Here's what's awesome about this place:
-BARTENDERS BARTENDERS BARTENDERS! They are so much fun and so friendly, even on a busy day or game night. :)
-Märzen.
-GARLIC FRIES... in combination with the beer... need I say more?
I have to say that I don't usually come here for an actual meal, but HH and bar food are definitely very good reasons to come here.
I dig it.
Came here for HH a few weeks ago. There was about 10 of us, and they told us it was going to be about a 45 min wait for a table. Part of the bottom section was reserved for a party, and the upstairs was closed, so really the restaurant was not in full force that evening. Bar area was open seating, so we all crowded around a small table, until we could gather up more small tables to create one big table.
We ordered all bar appetizer food - garlic fries, regular fries, appetizer plate, chicken wings, etc. My favorites of the evening were the chicken wings - very yummy! Service was great though - all waters were refilled and beers brought on time. It gets pretty packed here esp when there is a Giants game that day. Overall we had a good time here.
I threw a birthday party here and found the price to be very reasonable considering we had all you can drink - drinks there, and a delicious selection fo appetizers. I also love the location right at the head of the Bay where you can see the Bay Bridge and overlook the Embarcadero.
I've been here a couple times for drinks or dinner, and I really want to love this place. I do. But I can't.
Came here on a Tuesday night for happy hour with some friends and we noshed on garlic fries, artichoke hearts, egg rolls, and chicken wings. The artichoke hearts came with this amazing garlic mayo and the garlic fries were the best I'd ever had (don't compare to the shit they serve at Giants games because those are over fried or soggy as hell). The chicken wings were likewise a sumptuous treat, covered in sesame seeds and a sweet glaze that blended perfectly together.
I later ordered a pulled pork sandwich (overflowing with meat and slaw) with garlic fries and a soda and the waitress was pretty friendly.
So why the three stars and no five star rating? This poor server looked like she was covering the whole floor by herself. One of my friends got their food before their martini. wtf? Add more servers, dammit! The food is good, but when you're not getting good service (through no fault of the server), it diminished the experience.
The place is loud, and that wasn't too big of a deal. Although the Giants were getting thumped by the Dodgers...that did not make the night any better, but I hardly blame the restaurant for that.
All in all, come here. It's good food and drink. Just come when it's not mad busy, and you'll enjoy it waaaay more.
OK - it's a brewery, their menu is a mess of things from fried calamari w/wasabi sauce apps, to burgers, to salads, to slabs of steak. All over the place, all big, but nothing to write home about. Except maybe the garlic fries, but you know I'm biased when it comes to garlc.
It's Oktoberfest so they've got a special menu featuring things vaguely to do with those countries that celebrate Oktoberfest - beer, sausages, cabbage, etc...
This is the kind of place I go to cuz it's the least expensive place on the Embacadero that can accomodate reservations and large parties. This is the kind of place I'd typically give 3.5 stars.
But then the manager, Gene (sp?) SAVED MY LIFE!!!
Ok my life was not in any actual mortal danger. But I'd lost my phone, which is my essential link to all my friends and family, so hence, my LIFE. Despite having already turned over benches and crawling around with me in the dimly lit upper dining area, and still not finding it....Gene promised to keep looking out for it. And he DID.
So, extra stars for a truly caring staff - that makes any restaurant 5 stars, to me.
The best beers you will find this side of Munich (I know,I lived there) always presented in the appropriate glassware (what a concept!) by a generally likeable and talented staff that will go out of their way for you if you're halfway civil. Do ask for a sampler and your favorite beer will speak to you... mine does... well, maybe cause I've had three.
There are some pretty good food choices too beyond the trademark garlic fries and burgers. The fish tacos on the special menu are to die for so don't miss them as it's a seasonal thing. Tuscan and Cajun pastas are both awesome though if you do.
Kinda crazy around ballgames so come some other time when you can enjoy the beer, fabulous bay view and ambiance of this place.
Every time I've been here I've had way too many garlic fries!
On my last visit the brewmaster came out and talked with everyone at my table. Super-friendly, down-to-earth guy--He even brought us another round!
Gordon Biersch? More like Gordon bleh.
My coworkers and I came here yesterday for happy hour (although we ended up missing happy hour because we were stuck in the office till almost 6:30)
We came here and it was pretty packed, mostly from baseball fans getting some drinks before the Giants game.
I wasn't sure what to get so I decided to get the beer sampler to try all their brews but it literally took me 8 minutes to even get a bartender to come over towards me. I was starting to get pissed because the bartenders weren't even helping anyone, they were more occupied with putting dirty glasses into a dishwasher than helping customers.
Finally after getting ones attention he then proceeded to tell me to wait and then kept walking around with glasses doing nothing. Finally he came over and said "oh is someone helping you?"
...sigh..
Anyways I asked for the sampler and then he proceeded to say "....ok....?"
me: Do you guys HAVE a sampler?
him: oh yeah we do
me: well can I get one
him:.....okay
So he finally sets me up with a sampler ($6) but didn't get my full drink's worth since they were out of the seasonal so all I got was 5 beers, which was fine, the cups are tiny anyways.
I really liked the schwarezbeer but the others were bleh. Specifically the hefeweizen was HORRIBLE. Hef is usually my choice of brew but this one was awful. I think something was wrong with the tap because I noticed it was pouring abnormally slow. It wasn't just me though, 3 of my other friends also got the hef in the tall glasses and proceeded to tell me the exact same thing that it tasted like it had gone bad.
Not sure if thats just it's usual taste or if the tap was bad, but I don't suggest getting it. I described it as the juice that you discover at the bottom of your compost bin because your compostable liner had a hole in it and you discover that gross juice at the bottom when throwing it into the green bin. The hef was rancid.
I also opened at tab at the bar but when we sat down at a table, the Asian waitress (who was not nice or happy) told me that I couldn't charge any drinks or food on my tab at the table.
My friend was dissatisfied with the rancid hef and went back to the bar to return it for another and when he came back, the waitress interrogated him about where he got the beer because it wasn't the one she brought him and was very hostile towards him.
I ended up just getting the garlic fries ($5.95), which was alright but the waitress/service was also crappy. She kept badgering my friends who didnt get food if they wanted to order something after they told her multiple times that they were fine with just drinks. She also kept trying to push more drinks on us after we repeatedly told her we were fine as we only wanted a couple of beers as some of them had to drive home.
In the end, I'd have to say it was a pretty bad experience.
The bartenders were not helpful/attentitive, the table service was even worse. The beers were alright except for running out of the seasonal and the rancid hef. I don't think we'd come back here again, we'd rather just go to Paliminos next door.
A chain is a chain but I like this one!
I came up here with my fellow co-workers last night to celebrate our VP's bday (any reason to drink #46 - company policy - HA) - it was close to our SF office in the Financial district and my boss and the SJ office came up via CalTrain. A few of us tried their new seasonal beer Fest... something or other and it was good - definitely something to order while they still have it around.
We ordered a few sampler platters, garlic fries, crab cakes and calamari. I like the crab cakes but the calamari was a let down - rings were too small and they were very thin - however the sauce that accompanied it was tasty. You can't go wrong with their garlic fries - they are just plain delicious! For my main dish, I had the Cajun Pasta - meh... Nothing in it besides chicken and sausage and no flavor to the sauce. My co-worker ordered the Steak Frites and it looked divine! I'm going to order that next time I hit up the SJ location.
Both of our servers (one left when her shift was over) were excellent - Always making sure that we were taken care of. Oh and I tried the Ménage à Trois wine and it was wonderful - I'll get a glass of that to go!
It's a chain but damn they make their garlic fries soooo goood... Awesome happy hour specials. They have a few select appetizers like garlic fries and such for $4.95 a piece and beers on tap discounts. Select appetizers are (tapas, garlic fries, chicken wings, pizza, and Artichoke hearts. Calamari isn't over fried and it wasn't chewy. Staff was kind and friendly as the group i was with were pretty rowdy. (sorry it was the bachelor party) Awesome place for food and watching the games on their plethora of TVs around the place.
Came here for a person's b-day pre party dinner. The main reason why they choose this place is because of its in house brewery. The paramount problem is that I do not drink due to religious reasons.
Because of this fact, I am unable to enjoy the full dining experience; hence, the lowered rating.
The food itself did not have the wow factor. I had the burger/sandwich here. It was good yet it was not the best I have. For a place to market themselves as a more high end burger place, it failed in my eyes.
I might return if my some way my religious convictions may have changed yet I do not see that happening any time soon.
Other Notables:
Parking is not a huge problem due to its location unlike many other sf locations.
The service was quick yet there was a delayed dish in our party of 15+.
I've been there once and once only, it was for a friend's birthday. We were all having dinner and put in our orders an hour before they were supposed to close. Everyone got their food one by one, SLOWLY. So it already didn't feel like we were eating together. It would be one person eating and then when they're almost finished another person gets their food and starts eating. The food wasn't that great either, it was exceptional but it doesn't make up for the bad service. And in the end they closed the kitchen and gave us our check while we were still missing an entree! We told them and they didn't seem too apologetic about it. It was more like an "Oh, is that it? I'll go ask to see if the cook would make it. But the kitchen is closed." Seriously?
For a brewery the beer wasn't that great either might I add.
My friend and I came here for a light dinner and drinks. Here's the breakdown:
The good: Crab and Artichoke Dip. A-MA-ZING. Seriously, one of the best dips I've ever had. It was greasy and stuff when it came out, but when was the last time greasy food tasted bad?
The bad: We both ordered margaritas, and the waitress told us that they didn't have a blender, so we ordered it on the rocks. What drink restaurant doesn't have a blender?!
The good: Our waitress was pretty good - didn't come excessively to check up, but the service was good enough.
The bad: There were flies in the restaurant - we were sitting in the indoor patio area, and flies were swarming around the inside, and it was really grossing us out.
The good: Portions were pretty big. We both ordered a salad; him the chicken caesar, and for me, the gorgonzola pear salad. There wasn't that much dressing on mine, and the pecan-crusted chicken had zero flavor. If they'd put some sort of more flavorful dressing on the salad, it would've been better.
The bad: Sucks to be you if you go here post-game, because it's crowded as hell.
Overall, eh. It's okay. Nothing too spectacular, nothing too horrendous.
Food was about average for a brewery, have had better. Beer was generic and almost bad. Especially the more complex brews. Friendly staff though!
With the no. 7 pick, the Warriors select...
::drumrolls please::
PG Stephen Curry! Good pick?? Or bad pick?? I like it. He's such a cutie.
My boyfriend and I came here for the Warriors draft party. We were 3.5 hours too late. By the time we got there, everyone was already packing up. O-well. At least I got to order some garlic fries and a beer.
It's sad when Budweiser compares favorably to anything. This belongs in Fisherman's Wharf with all the other crap we have.
Brewpubs make me happy-- they usually combine delicious food, unique beers, and great service to bring it all together.
Gordon Biersch, however, failed to deliver on these characteristics.
I've been to the San Diego location several times, and liked it, so my boyfriend and I stopped here on our way home from a happy hour in downtown SF. The place was packed on a Wednesday night. We were seated within a few minutes (not bad), and our server took about 5 minutes to acknowledge we were even there (with no apologies for the delay). The service the rest of the night was just as slow. We ordered our beer and food at the same time, to hurry things along. I watched our beer sit on the bar for several minutes before we finally got it. And it appeared only seconds before our food arrived.
The food was average, and nothing above expectations. I had a burger, which was fine. The garlic fries were pretty tasty. My boyfriend had a chicken sandwich. We ate nothing to write home about, and had finished our food before our server even came to check on us.
This brewpub lacks the local feel that I like in a local brewpub. It seems a little too corporate, and a little short-staffed. The beer is tasty, though, and I bet it would be a decent place for happy hour and appetizers.
The garlic fries were good, but somehow not as good as the Gordon Biersch garlic fries I had at a stand a few months ago...how does that work?
I understand we went there when it was wicked busy and food was going to take a little longer...but the amount of time it took was ridiculous....how do you have a restaurant at the finish line of the SF Marathon and not anticipate higher business that day?
All the food here was just all right, your typical ok bar food...except that I hold pub food in San Francisco to a higher standard! Pizza was quite dry...
MY WAITER WAS HIGH, I SWEAR!!!
My friend: "Is there a happy hour today?"
Waiter: "I can make it happy for you."
... and I'm 100% sure he wasn't hitting on my friend. If anyone reading this review was at the restaurant during the Warriors draft and was on the second floor, one of the waiters was definitely high. Please agree with me.
In terms of food, we ordered garlic fries, southwest egg rolls, crispy artichoke hearts, and tapas... What can I say, everything was just fried and I decently enjoyed them.
Four of us went to have brunch at Gordon Biersch yesterday, Aug 28th around 1:00 in the afternoon and was greeted with great disappointment. The hostess seemed to be bothered that she actually had to walk with us to a table for us to sit and dropped the menus in the center of the table and walked away.
This review is really for Jason though. See below and my next yelp to follow the rest of the story.
Jason came to take our orders before we even had a chance to get our menus open! He seemed really rushed and was not courteous about it at all. Oh, and there was practically no-one in the place at this time. I could understand if the place was busy. We gave him our drink orders, which only included one from the bar, and asked for the calamari for starters. When he finally came back with our drinks, we gave him our main orders and enjoyed our drinks. After some time, Bolo came by to check on us. See his review afterwards.
After I had asked for another Bloody Mary, and it hadn't showed up for quite some time along with our appetizer order, I saw Jason walking by and asked him about it. I got this as a response: "There's a glass (pointing at it) with vodka and ice there. That's all I can do." What kind of answer is that when asked about the status of an order? This is the point I got visibly upset. As it turned out JASON hadn't even put our orders in at all including our appetizer or main dishes.
So, the message I'm trying to send here is: IF YOU GET JASON AS A SERVER, ASK FOR SOMEONE ELSE.
In a valiant effort to save his tip and our service experience, Bolo came back from his break and really took charge of the situation. He was vere attentive and made sure we wanted for nothing. The rest of the experience was pleasant. I'm not sure what Jason's problem was and never found out, but he certainly brought it to work and to us during his service to us.
Once Bolo saved the day, the food was tasty with good portions.
Everything (foodwise) is just ok and not worth the $.
Go for the beer and garlic fries.... those are tasty.
I've been here a few times and I've never really had a problem. I don't tend to set my expectations too too high, especially for somewhere like this that is really just a glorified sports bar posing as a restaurant/ brewery.
The servers have been really polite and prompt. Although, when I went this past weekend it did take ages to get our bill for some reason. But we just enjoyed the magnificent view and finished off our brews.
The food is pretty decent, I guess what you'd expect. The artichoke crab dip is BOMB. And as many have said, you have to try the garlic fries.
All in all not too shabby... I'll be back!
There were 50-60 people in our party. We made reservations and were seated upstairs in the corner area. I liked it because we got privacy and there were not a lot of other foot traffic coming to our reserved area. We had our own bartender too.
FOOD - Not so great. We had finger foods such as: fried spring rolls vegetarian and with meat, two types of salads, chicken meet on a skewer (so horrible - it was just cooked blandly with a dabble of teriyaki sauce on it), garlic fries (SOGGY!), crab cakes, variety of wood oven pizza dishes (however it was cold and not crispy anymore -- they need to have heated lamps to warm the food), and some ravoli with ricotta which was tasteless.
BATHROOMS -They should have a bathroom upstairs...I had to use the bathroom 3 times and I had to walk downstairs each time. Bathroom - needs more cleaning/monitoring because hand towels are on the floor, on the counter top (not in the dispenser).
SERVICE - mediocre.
PARKING - validated for up to 3 hours on the weekends. Or else it is $3.00/hour or more?
PRICE - You can ask me if you are interested.
the good thing about this place is that it's walkable from BART, an excellent meeting place before a baseball game, and everybody remembers where it's located. i don't think the beer is super great, but i did try the Octoberfest beer and thought it was extremely decent. i get frustrated when this place is busy on weekdays after work, which is always. everyone is crammed into the bar area while a perfectly good dining area and about half of the bar is roped off for dinner. the food is only alright. i'd rather pay more at the ballpark for better garlic fries.
