As I consider myself a thrift store connoisseur, I rate this Goodwill store as top notch! I can always find something here. The staff is friendly, the store is neat, clean and well organized and the stock constantly changes (a good thing).
As I write this review my husband is asking me to mention that they up the amount of men's clothing and to leave the dressing rooms unlocked so he doesn't have to ask for the key.
But back to me...VHS tapes for .50 and new underware for 1.00. What a deal. You can't beat that with a stick!
One last comment, I shop at the Charlottesville Goodwill and if my memory serves me correctly, I believe their shoes cost less 2.50 as compared to 3.99 in Louisa. Why is that?

Today I purchased a CD player from Goodwill for my son. Upon getting home I eagerly tried to get it to power on, first by supplying batteries, then by power cord. Sadly, the device would not even power on. I returned to Goodwill and was informed that they could not do anything about the broken merchandise due to a recent change in corporate policy that disallowed refunds.

I find it unacceptable that a company would sell broken merchandise then refuse to do anything to refund or credit the transaction.

The only positive is that the staff were sympathetic and had a similar distaste for the corporate policy.
