We stopped into this place before going to SoundWalk last night. We wanted to grab something quick so we could get to the sounds.
Stepping into this place you get the feeling you've slipped into a fairy's cottage in the woods. It's very ethereal and comfy at the same time. I also love how the ceiling is the night sky.
The BF had the Roast Beef sandwich and lentil soup, and I had the Mediterranean sandwich and lentil soup. The soup was very good.. nice homemade taste. To drink I had the raspberry vanilla mocha over ice and it was delish!
The staff is very friendly and sweet. The owner even let me borrow a book from the library. I started reading it while we waited for our meal. I had to promise I will be back next week and tell him all about it. He laughed and said.. "I'd like a book report on it."
Since we seem to being coming to the East Village Art district a bit more... I think this will become one of our regular stops.Listed in: Long Beach Restaurants

I came in here the other morning when Sipology was closed. I ordered a frappuccino and a sandwich. My frapp was basically 90% milk, 5% ice, 3% sugar, and 2% coffee. My sandwich was very bland. The bread was stale and the avocado was hard. From my understanding, this place recently reopened. Business seemed slow. I wanted to order a soup with my sandwich but the owner said they don't serve soup in the warmer months since nobody orders it.

I for one am delighted that the East Village is becoming a new (or maybe I should say, bigger) coffehouse mecca in Long Beach. And though I'm not as experienced with them as my usual spots further east, I am very pleased that most of them offer decent sweets and savories, in addition to coffee.
I really like Good Vibes. It has, well, a good vibe to it!
The staff have always been super friendly, and I have been nothing if not pleased with my food.
Every time I've been here, they've been showing the Planet Earth documentary of their big screen TV. If you are like me, you could watch docs like this endlessly,
In the end, I think I prefer the Broadlind Cafe on the next block. But that's because the Broadlind iHotel s perhaps my favorite building in Long Beach (although now that I've seen the inside of Cooper Arms, I may have to explore that more!). Still, I plan on adding Good Vibes to my regular rotation of cafes.
Also note: They have Wi Fi.Listed in: Long Beach Cafes

I was riding around on my bike, hungry as hell. I first stopped off at the cafe diagonally across from Good Vibes. I stood there and stood there and no one ever showed. I think the guy was actually on the computer and didn't even notice me enter.
So I left and went to Good Vibes.
I believe it was the owner who was working and he was very nice. He told me he was French and that sometimes the French act weird, which was weird in itself, but it made me smile. I opted for the Breakfast Special which was a scrambled egg with cheese on an English Muffin with a small coffee.
The coffee wasn't the best but I'm an add a gallon of milk and a bag of sugar kind of girl so maybe that doesn't say much. The food was good! The owner brought it out for me and I paid after I ate.
The decor is comfortable and looks like a great place to go with a few friends. There are a few bike racks right outside of the door so you don't have to find a pole down the street. Very cool place. I'll return with my boyfriend soon. -

I visited this place a few times before writing this review. The first time I passed through there was an open mic with some guitarists organized by this rockabilly musician. Second time was for a meeting (which I have to say, it makes a great meeting spot for business and etc.)
ATMOSPHERE
Atmosphere is awesome! Nice murals on the walls. Makes a great place for lounging. The cafe entrance has nice outdoor scenery in the front, i'm glad the owner puts tables out there
FOOD
Had the special breakfast (scrambled egg, mayo, cheese, sourdough muffin); it was cheap and did the job. Haven't ha the coffee yet... (i review a cafe with out the coffee? yeah i know, i apologies...). Food is relatively cheap and decent (but don't expect to get filled here)
SERVICE
Service is great. Owner is a nice and respectful guy.
MISC.
There are two computers with internet for customers. I don't have internet at my place so the spot serves as somewhat of an incentive for me.
SUMMARY
This place is a nice hangout and has nice service; it's the kinda place where you could probably become a regular and be remembered. Can't say much for food because I haven't tried enough to critique. Therefore I give this place 4 stars. -

What is going on with this place? I went there because the Yelp pics looked so cool. And then I walk in and I'm smacked in the face with these ugly slime green walls. I asked the dude behind the counter what happened? He didn't even know what I was talking about. So I still ordered an iced coffee and the soup and sandwich special. The coffee tasted like instant. I didn't see or smell any coffee brewing!! The soup he brought me was canned soup!!! I could of had this at home. Don't try to serve me Progresso Soup. And the sandwich wasn't that good either. While I was waiting for the food he asked me if I would like to use the internet. I said sure why not. The keyboard barely worked. The keys typed somethig different. I really don't know what happened here but I doubt they'll be around any longer.

I've walked by this place countless times but never gone inside. I am not a coffee drinker so it didn't appeal much to me. However sometimes I'm hungry and want something quick. The choices around this area are slim.. Subway, Quiznos, Super Mex.. that's about it. Last night I finally ventured in and tried their Mediterranean sandwich and lentil soup, served with tortilla chips. It was really good! It was the perfect light meal. $5.95 for a half sandwich and soup.. not bad. Their drinks look good, perhaps I will have to try a banana chai latte sometime. I give this place 4 stars for friendly service and tasty healthy food. I'll be back.

Good vibes is where garden of pan used to be, it's under new management now. I used to like garden of pan except that they were never open during regular hours. The new owners have promised to change that. Great vegetarian sandwiches and soup, plus delicious smoothies, tea and coffee drinks. The inside of this place is inspiring, with artwork, couches, various percussion instruments and they just added a couple computers for internet. If you have trouble finding it, the sign just has a D on it for the as of now. The guys who run this place are real chill people as well.

this place looks really cool inside. there was a live band playing when i visited... the food is mediocre and over priced... I got a turkey-avacado sammich... I guess you can't expect that to be absolutley spectacular. My friend ordered a smoothie. It was very liquidy... More like a watered down slushy. It tasted like dole pineapple bannana orange juice. The owner was nice but was a little to persistent in trying to get us to buy other overpriced items. No thanks sir.

Is this place still open? I went to the website and it's down (need that for referring people), went to their MySpace - you have to add them as a Friend just to send them an email..... should I bother?

You never know if they'll be open. Even when open, it looks abandoned.
