Good Stuff is a nice change of pace from your usual breakfast, lunch and dinner joint. For starters the atmosphere is friendly and the outdoor seating is a nice touch as well. It can get a bit crowded but I have waited 20-25 minutes tops. Located on PCH, it's a short hop, skip and jump to the beach. There are plenty of healthy food options -- ground turkey and chicken or turkey sausage is fabulous. My favorite dish is the ground turkey enchiladas with eggs and rice -- it's very light -- not too cheesy or overwhelming but fills you right! Burgers, wraps, and salads are above average as well --- Give it a shot!
I'm so sick of Dennys and other franchise diner or breakfast places. I loved finding this place in Redondo Beach after my sister and brother ran a marathon and I took them here to treat them to a congratulatory breakfast. It was mid morning and it was very busy mainly because it was 4th of July and there were a ton of people after the marathon so not sure if it normally gets this busy.
Anyways, I really loved what I ordered here... which was the eggs benedict. Probably one of the best I've ever had. I wish I could return here because they have a lot of interesting items on the menu and a lot of healthy stuff too. Service was good, and it looked like a pretty nice and clean restaurant.

Of the original four (now three, I think) Good Stuff locations, this one was no. 3. The food's the same as the other ones, which is to say that it tastes good, but it gets kind of crowded here in an annoying way, and it just doesn't feel like your as close to the beach as you are.

I've been going to Good Stuff for a couple of years now for breakfast. It's a nice little place by the beach, so it helps in starting your day out right.
Since I haven't had anything but their breakfast items, maybe I can't judge the whole menu. But the breakfast there is great! They have fun little pseudo-Mexican twists on good ol' American breakfast like breakfast quesadilla and enchiladas. I actually love the salsa they serve there :)
I definitely recommend this place to people who are looking for something more than breakfast chain food. It's yummy, affordable, and right next to a coffee bean -- a complete morning routine.
Great in concept, subpar in execution. Billed as fresh, healthy, inexpensive cuisine; this fits the area well, being most Redondo residents are of the health-conscious, bohemian type.
However the food and service are closer to a hippie's vision of a beachside Denny's than anything else.
My wife and I ordered the vegetarian pita, california wrapp (aww, how cute, they can't spell!), and a pair of soups. Everything was good, though my wife thought my chicken lime soup tasted like dishwater and I thought her lentil soup tasted like hobo food. The sandwiches score a big fat zero for presentation, they were just plopped on empty plates by themselves. I'd expect a parsley sprig for garnish or something. At least the ingredients were fresh, and the low-carb tortilla on my wrap tasted surprisingly like a non-low-carb tortilla. Amazing what they can accomplish with modern science these days.
The disorganized, bumbling service kind of killed it for me, though. Our server ignored us for a while (along with the table sat after us), took the other table's order first though we had been there a few minutes longer, and immediately proceeded to mix up the two tables' drink orders...twice. We received an unexpected "house salad with ranch" as a result of the server misreading her own handwriting of "house cabernet." Food took nearly 20 minutes to come out of the kitchen, which was puzzling since the restaurant was almost empty.
I'll give Good Stuff 3 stars, but only begrudgingly. If they tightened up their service a bit, I'd still give it 3 stars but less begrudgingly.

I love Good Stuff! Their sweet potato fries are to die for and so is their Cassidy's Garden omelette. Their fruit is great and comes with most of the kid's meals. As other indicated, parking can be a bear (especially on weekends) and occasionally they do make you wait even though there are empty tables available. However, their food is really good and the waitresses are sweet - attentive & family friendly.

Every time I eat here, I'm pleasantly surprised by what I order. The prices are good too, which helps. Last time I was here I ordered a half-rack of ribs for an appetizer for six bucks, and it was a genuine half-rack or ribs! That's a bargain in most places.
The menu is quirky, and there's a fair amount of variety on it. I do wish they had a better beer selection, though.

Usually a wait, especially if you go for brunch -- but fortunately it's never too long. The service is pretty good, and the menu has a decent selection of many different kinds of foods.
I don't understand a few of the mediocre reviews on this place. They serve BY FAR the best quality ingredients for their breakfasts. Their applewood bacon is supurb, and their eggs are always delicious and NEVER runny or overcooked. I love the potatoes and the greek omelet.
it is a bit pricier than a few other local breakfast establishments but their quality of food is higher. In my opinion that is worth it. Their OJ is better, their coffee is better, the place is clean and bright and cheery and the service is consistent. I love the surfboard motif.
On the weekends you will wait but much less of a wait than other less desirable breakfast places. They also take all major CC's and have lunch and dinner items too.
Location is great; right in the village next to the Coffee Bean, but viewable from PCH if you are looking.

Three restaurants stood side by side, neighbors to each other. One was setting up for the night crowd, the other's menu did not offer much in variety, and the third's menu offered "Good Stuff" - things like, "Liquid Stuff" (Beverages), "Fried Stuff", "Seafood Stuff" and well, you get it.
So I settled for the good stuff and I was definitely stuffed with my Carne Asada sandwich, fries, and an appetizer of fried Parmesan zucchini. That's some good stuff before the holiday season.
My carne asada sandwich had a thick slab of meat layered with tomato, diced lettuce, and guacamole, on a french roll. Kind of like a Mexican torta. I almost had to eat my sandwich with a knife. The fried zucchini was soft, cut into delicate strips like long french fries. I say delicate because underneath that fried goodness was a zucchini strip that was cut too long, too thin, or overcooked to break off the plate before I could dip it into the ranch dressing. I had to literally fold a fried zucchini strip before I dipped. Oh, but I'm not complaining.
The place served up dishes that were both Mexican and American, so you have your burgers and burritos on the same menu. For the healthier crowds you have wraps and salads. The location itself focused on the surfing crowd of beaches (it was Redondo Beach), and the dishes were affordable. Service was great, the bathroom needed a token, and the ambiance of it all was nice. A fun place to eat. And if you were stumped as where to eat, you bet you'll find variety here.

I went for lunch with my husband, his wrap and soup were very small and I left hungry. why? half of my tiny piece of fish on my blackened fish salad went to him. and so did half of my sparse plate of greens in the salad bowl. I think it tasted good though. good enough to be 'good stuff'. interestingly enough though, the bill was pretty normal considering to portion sizes were pretty small.
my husband loves the place. I'd say I don't understand, but then again, it's all making sense right now.

I didn't order anything fancy here, just pouch eggs and cured ham + whole wheat pancake and fresh fruit. Simply by that, you can actually tell that they use high quality ingredients . The egg was huge and tasty. The ham wasn't salty nor greasy at all. Fruit was fresh without the 'just out of the fridge' or 'stale' taste. I was amazed at the pancake. They must have their griddle cleaned from time to time. The portion was fair enough.
Don't expect excellent service here cos you know it's just a restaurant next door after all. The only set back is they like keep you waiting even there are so many tables empty in there. Probably cos they don't have enough staff ?!
Anyway, they should probably update the menu prices on their website.
When its time for weekend breakfast and we aren't going to my new favourite place on the Redondo pier (can't tell you where its a secret - I don't need crowds coming and ruining it) then we like to go to Good Stuff - either this one or the one in Hermosa. The food is excellent - fresh and delicious - the only problem is that everyone else seems to think so too because there is always a darn queue.

I ordered a turkey burger and it wasn't good.
Fries weren't that great either.
I love trying out new places to eat and when I do and it isn't a great experience or the food is not amazing, it is super annoying!
Especially when you take a risk and you are absolutely starving!
I wanted to like it, cuz god knows I love surfers and thought I would love the vibe and the food... and it is close to my house....but never again.
The girls are cute but not great servers. They forgot to refill our drinks and weren't helpful with paying the bill.
This place is a average place, nothing special at all. The service was terrible, which I am fine with bad service when I'm in a place that looks like it should have bad service (dirty diners and fast food restaurants), but this place looks like it should have fun happy outstanding service. Well, it didn't. What a name too, Good Stuff, hahahaha, the food wasn't that good, it wasn't even average.. however, it wasn't gross either, it was just... blah. Maybe I should have tried it 2 times, but I just couldn't go back after the first time.
I've been here several times and have yet to have a bad meal. Everything is good! Breakfasts are great because they aren't greasy and you have some healthy options to choose from. Overall just a great place to go if you are looking for a good simple meal where two people can eat for under $20.

healthy food is what i try to eat on most occassions but there are times when i just want to eat bad foods especially for breakfast. greasy bacon or pancakes with butter and buckets of syrup. well the great thing about good stuff is that they have it all. they have healthy dishes as well as the more traditional breakfast foods. my favorite dish is the teriyaki flank steak with eggs but i also enjoy their seasonal pancakes like the pumpkin spice. the only knock against this place is the wait on sat and sun mornings but if you know when to go, you can avoid a wait longer than 15 minutes. i'd say the pluses are the healthy options, the service, and the quality of the ingredients. it might not be as fun as eating brunch on the westside at places like toast or bread and porridge but sometimes it's nice to stay local and have an ocean view as you walk around the riviera.
This place is exactly that... good stuff. Not "Great Stuff," but thankfully, not "Crappy Stuff" either. They serve pretty good breakfasts, but I usually go here with a few friends for a casual, laid-back lunch. I like their sandwich wraps, it's different meats and veggies wrapped in a tortilla. Their salads are fresh too. The atmosphere is really chill, and it's close to the beach so it's fun to go there after some quality sun time.

I do not understand why, at its five locations, this restaurant is consistently crowded. It's an attractive place with a surf theme & lifeguard memorabilia, founded in the late 70's. But - I have had breakfast here twice and - I am unimpressed, I am unimpressed. The oatmeal portion was too small, french toast was dry, turkey sausage needs serious help. The service is always very good but does not make up for what lacks in the food.

With a 3 year old toddler, Good Stuff has turned into one of my favorite restaurants to frequent. As some reviewers have indicated, I agree that they use fresh ingredients for everything they make. Even their salsa is freshly made and I've guess I've expected this standard at any SoCal restaurant that serves Mexican food.
They are extremely kid friendly. In addition to the usual crayons and things to color, the wait staff is extremely nice to the kids. They often engage the kids on conversations which is a reflection on their service and atttitude.
Took the family to Good Stuff for Sunday breakfast and we were very impressed. Be prepared to wait, but it was well worth it. Greeted by friendly service and a very kid friendly atmosphere. Kids ordered the kids menu French Toast and Waffle, which were very hot and yummy. I ordered the wholewheat pancakes which so far have been the best in Southern Beaches area. DH ordered a special of steak and omelet which suppressed his hunger till dinnertime. Servings are a little smaller than usual massive standards, but was plenty for us.
We make it a ritual to try a different breakfast joint each Sunday , This is the best so far!! We will be coming back.

Rarely am I ever up early for breakfast, but out of town visitors woke me up at the crack of dawn and asked me to take them someplace they had never been to. I brought them here since I had never been here as well. I was not disappointed. Decent sized portions, great prices, and a friendly staff make for a relatively relaxing meal. The parking situation could be a bit better, but its not a big deal.

If you could exemplify the South Bay with food, Good Stuff has done it. Casual Californian cuisine at a reasonable price with a menu that's interesting but not too highbrow. I would steer clear of the place on the weekend, unfortunately. Especially as it grows warmer, there always tends to be a line for brunch.

My heart skips a beat at the thought of Good Stuff. It's all you can ask for in a casual beach restaurant - healthy food with high quality ingredients, good prices, awesome staff, and beachy decor complete with surfboards and a faux lifeguard tower suspended from the ceiling. I love this place. Every time I go home to visit the folks, I make sure to visit Good Stuff and pick me up a seafood salad - you MUST try this salad. It is so good as is, it does not even require a dressing, although they will ask you which one you want on the side. The California wrap is also always a safe bet. For breakfast, you get free coffee while you wait for a table (yes, there usually is a wait for weekend breakfast) and muffins (yes!!! MUFFINS!!) while you wait for your food. The omelettes are great, the pumpkin spice pancakes are great, you actually really can't go wrong with anything you order. I love it.
