Good Stuff is located directly across the street from my office so it is very convenient.  Yet I rarely eat there.  It is a greasy spoon with burgers, fries, wraps and salads.  They also serve breakfast.

I ordered a veggie burger with fries the other day while I was between appointments.  Veggie burger was alright - nothing special.  The fries were a bit stale.

Overall I give 3 stars because the food is good enough when I only have time to run across the street.

So maybe they should call the place Good Enough Burgers....

Good burgers. I always got the Avocado burger. all stuff seemed to be made fresh. the fries are good too and not greasy. I worked a block away so sometimes i would come here. You can eat under 10 Bucks. Lines arent too long. The menus is kinda small but dont need much.

They are pretty quick with serving food. They have big salads if youd rather get than. The patio outside is great. Its covered and is generally quite cool. Love it.

Fantastic Veggie Burgers!!!
Step back into 1979 at this small burger place.   They are really fast, really fresh and delicous.  They are crazy busy and rushed in here, so it's a great idea to call ahead.

Fairly priced is their best attribute.  Ordered 5 things:  veggie burger, veggie wrap, BBQ Chicken Wrap, Fries, and Onion Rings.  3/5 were cold.  bad ratio.  when we tried to get items reheated the cook (who apparently did not know we understood spanish) through a fit about us returning the food.  The manager was apologetic.  The food was average at best.  The rude chef sucked.  Don't need to come back.

The food and the prices here are decent.  I occasionally will crave this place but there are better places like IN N OUT.  I like the variety here, ice tea they make, and sweet potato fries.

This place is close to where I work. That's the only reason I go there. I can imagine for the crowd of people in there it's close to the same story.

$5.50 for a baked potato? Crazy.

I branched out and tried the fish burger (Mahi Mahi I think?) recently. Nothing memorable - pretty bland - and almost $10. Yipes!

The staff here are great though at dealing with the crowds - really get you in n out quick.

In N Out... hm... yeah wish there was one of those within walking distance.

I LOVE Good Stuff but this one sucks!

Where do I start?

I love love the HERMOSA GS.  Great food,  nice people, very relaxed, great location but this is the exact opposite.

The fact that people consider this a fast food burger joint says it all!  I don't even know if HERMOSA GS has burgers.

This is a walk up counter where I felt like the guy working there was rushing me to order and no one else was in line...he was like a used car salesman.

The small room has high ceilings and everything echos including counter guy yelling in Spanish to the cooks, taking peoples orders, answering the phone and worse they actually have a PA so he yells out the orders when they are ready.  Are you kidding me?  You don't need a PA I can here every word you are saying and I am at the farthest table from the counter.

Shame on you Good Stuff for doing this half ass version!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah...the wrap I had was ok but I choked it down so I could get the he'll out of there.

When something is named the Good Stuff Burger and the name of the place is Good Stuff, you'd think it would be a slam dunk that it would be the best thing on the menu, right? Especially when that burger, fries and a drink come out to $10.

Totally not the case.

For the price of two meals at In-N-Out, I got a very forgettable burger, fries and a drink.

Reading some of the reviews, maybe this Good Stuff is different from the one in the South Bay. The one down in Redondo Beach is more of a breakfast place and actually serves tasty food.

One of my favorite places to get food around my office.  It has a great variety and I haven't had a bad experience yet.  My recommendations:

Turkey burg.
Chicken caesar salad.
any smoothie.
California breakfast burrito *if you get there early enough
Most of their wraps are ok as are their sandwiches.  The fries are delicious and crisp if you eat them there, but if you get them to go then they get soggy pretty fast.

Very clean place with a nice outside area if you can get seating.

Burger #94: Stupid Pseudo-Healthy Burger

I've know about this burger joint since last spring when I took some classes at SMC, though I never bothered to go. It just didn't look that great from the outside. But over the year, I've learned never to judge food by its non-greasy cover.

A coworker and I came here for lunch the other day, eager to try something new. We lucked out on a parking spot in the very crowded lot. Inside the place was packed with limited and confined seating. After scanning the menu I decided on a double stuff with cheese and bacon. Here's where I ran into trouble.

I order, "Double stuff with cheese and bacon." (Should be $6.10)
Burger man replies, "Uhh, bacon-cheese with extra patty?"
I point to the menu and say, "No... double stuff... with cheese AND bacon."
He ignores me and confirms, "Ok, bacon cheese with extra patty." ($6.95)

At that point I let the language barrier win. Every burger on the menu cost 50c more with bacon, but I'm forced to shell out an extra $1.75 for another patty. My burger came to $7.52 after tax. A few minutes later my number is called and this is what I got;

http://www.yelp.com/bi...

Sure my camera makes it look palatable, but it wasn't that good. The meat was not juicy at all and alone provided little beefy flavor. The bun was some god awful "grain" and there was heaps of shredded lettuce on top the bacon. That poor, sad bacon had zero crispiness but gave some good flavor. The cheese did nothing to help the dry meat, but lucky for this place they had ample packets of mayo and Tapatio to liven things up. My buddy got some sweet potato fries and I have to admit those were pretty good.

I'm glad I finally came to try Good Stuff, but it was not that good. The half-Jew in my hates the fact that I was swindled out of $0.85.

Ok so when it's lunch time, I have a choice to make.  Do i go to Good stuff or do I head out Greek Kabob?  Well I do sometimes venture to quizno's and the mexican place next door but I go here the most.

There are a handful of things I like here.  Personal favorites are the BLT with avo or the avo, bacon cheese burger.  Man its good and fast.

Too bad its close to my office, otherwise i wouldn't gain weight.  Dang them and either yummy sweet potato fries!

Great fresh food. Simple but healthy. We love to get it after going to the gym. It's kind of a compromise: burgers, but they're healthy.

The smoothies are pretty good too. If you watch them making them, you'll learn how simple they are and might wince at the price though. But they're still cheaper than the competition next door, the iced blended at CB.

Good choice!

so my inner-trailer trash enjoys eating at strip malls for a variety of reasons.  the first being free, convenient parking.  the second being the proximity to showgirls.  oh.  that's not why it's called a "strip" mall?  well in any case, good stuff IS located next to a strip club (silver reign).

for about $9, i ordered a mushroom and mozzarella turkey burger and sweet potato fries to go.  i called my mom while waiting for my food to be prepared.  after five minutes of her complaining about the heat (they don't call them hot flashes for nothing, ma), and a brief conversation with a fellow diner on how much she liked my outfit, my burger and fries were ready.

it took me five minutes to drive home and by then, the burger and fries were soggy.  despite being famished, i still noticed how tasteless the burger was.  fail.

I really love this place for fast, clean, healthy food that is affordable.  The staff is always super nice and the food is always worth the $$.

I generally only come here for the breakfast.  For breakfast I get the "Spicy Ground Turkey" scramble.  It comes with ground turkey, jalepenos, tomato and cilantro scrambled in egg with a side of brown rice and 3 corn tortillas.  SOO GOOD its scary, but dont forget to salt your eggs.

All the lunch food is good too. The salads are big, the stuffies are really good and the shakes arent bad either.

Good stuff is great stuff, I don't know what some of these people are talking about!

The location is as fun as a location on Olympic in a strip mall with a "gentleman's club" can be. The bright atmosphere with fun hand-painted wall menu is great - I go for the food, not for the decor! I always have great service and the food is wonderful. Yay for the veggie burgers, "stuffies" and the sweet potato fries! It's a great convenient place to grab lunch.  Do it!

The only good thing my friend had to say about this place is that the lettuce is fresh.  You have to hate life like this spot. The chicken is so bland and dry and completely tasteless! This place should never have ventured out of the South Bay.  I've been to the MB location and I wish I remembered how much I disliked it. But up here are other options. There is Zanku's on the westside you know. Want a good burger? The Counter isn't that far away.

Yelper's don't let other yelpers eat bland chicken caesar salads. Bad stuff.

I really really like this place. They're right next to the office building I work in so I frequently go here for lunch. Their veggie burger is ...dare I say, the best I've ever had!! And they are one of the only places I know that serves sweet potato fries (which actually taste healthy -- they are not drowned in salt or oil). Another neat thing about Good Stuff is that they have an espresso machine which turns out some very tasty drinks (nice alternative when the near by Coffee Bean has a line out the door). They also have an array of other healthful side dishes, turkey burgers, delicious salads, and smoothies. The menu is huge for a place like this! I think it's safe for me to say that this really is one of my top 3 favorite takeout places.

OH! And the servers are always so nice and helpful. They are always upbeat and smiling! And the decor is really neat inside...very high ceilings with murals all over.

BF has been going here for 18 years or something. He took me for the first time, and I was nothing but pleased.

Very friendly and just plain good service.

Salad--huge. Fresh. Nonfat tomato basil dressing. Southwesty with amazing chicken. I don't know why I enjoyed this, but the chicken was kinda a little tough and chewy. I know that's not a hallmark of good chicken, but for some reason it just worked.

BF had garden burger that he loves and fries.

Some sort of sport thing on a tv, but not obnoxiously so.

AMAZING unsweetened lemonade that they make and freshly brewed iced tea.

When you order drinks or fries, specify size, because I believe default is small.

No booths, just tables. No A/C. Other than that, lovely and I look forward to more charming meals with Mr. Charming BF here.

I eat here at least once a week since I work across the street.

Good stuff has excellent everything.  Breakfast and Lunch.  Turkey burgers, salads, and whatever the special of the day is.

The staff is super friendly and the old dude loves to hit on chicks.  He may even give you a large soda cup instead of a medium if you give him a hug.

I work around the corner and I only really eat here when I am feeling too lazy to drive to a better place.  I always order the ABC (avocado bacon cheddar) burger, and sometimes a smoothie if I'm feeling pseudo health conscious.  It is next to a strip club so you see all sorts of interesting people in the plaza.

My fav two words: Punch. Cards.

I accumulate a lotta punches. I'm here everyday to pick up a semi-famous music video/commercial/feature film director's lunch and/or dinner- He chows down everyday on a cheddarbaconburger, no pickles. I usually bring my lunch to work (the girl whose job it is to pick up lunch doesn't get paid enough to partake!) but exactly once a month I will self-medicate with a cheddar avocado burger and a side of their amazing fries. These are mushy, oily fries, just the way i like, not at all like McD's popular crunchy sticks. Good Stuff also has sweet potato fries**.

Burgers come in beef, turkey, or veggie.  I know people who love their double veggie burgers, personally I can taste too many seeds and veggies in their patties. (i prefer morningstar "grillers".)

The editor of the movie usually brings his "susan's healthy gourmet", but will occasionally succomb to "stuffie #5" which is turkey pattie, avocado, veggies, 1000 island in a wheat pita. It tastes good but isn't that filling.

The menu is extensive and you can be as healthy or as unhealthy as you want- steamed veggies and brown rice or, you know, fries. And then there are smoothies which are as healthy or unhealthy as you perceive them to be!

The salads (like southwestern chicken) are really big and yummy too.

They're busy at lunch! But the guys that work here are fiercely fast and friendly. They are my boys. The owner always has a special smile for me cos I'm a regular. I even have my own special "muffin only" punch card.

Wonderful breakfast options here. (you do get a punch for a breakfast sandwich!) I don't care for their bizarre breakfast wraps but the "egg and avocado stuffie" is delish. Friday is muffin day for our office- their blueberry bran muffins are the best muffins I've ever had!

On the cover of Us Weekly a few weeks back was a pic of skinny Janet Jackson alongside a "before" pic of a heavy JJ sporting a Good Stuff hoodie. So beware, Good Stuff addiction can lead to gaining 60 lbs.

** if you love these like I do, I recently got TJ's sweet potato sticks (in the fridge produce section) and you bake them with some oil and salt for 25 minutes, they came out yuuuuuummmmmy like restaurant quality, I was amazed.

As advertised, this is good stuff.  Where else can you get sweet potato fries with your turkey burger?  All the same, they should work on the warming up the ambiance a bit.  As it is it feels like a pale imitation of it's beachfront brethren.

I used to work a few blocks from here and often found myself here...

It's called Good Stuff and yes... it's quite good.  The food is clean and tasty.  It's a good spotlight on what we do here in California.  I pretty much dig everything on the menu and the portions are quite accommodating to a sizable appetite.

This place is a ZOO during lunch time. They are unfortunately understaffed but still give great customer service.

Their food is tasty, had a veggie burger protein style with some fries. Delicious.

Unfortunately they have the worst parking lot ever. My poor car got assaulted by an ass in a Vespa.

Add this to the list of things that Robert T. has introduced me to.  Let me clarify that, add this to the list of things Rob has introduced me to that I actually like (Rob introduced me to a chain smoking, leather clad, ballerina with face tattoos....I didn't like that so much).  Good Stuff Burger has the goods though.  I like the M&M Turkey style.

What others say about the crowds is true, but unlike so many lunch spots it feels healthy (even though it probably isn't) and you don't regret the experience when you get back to your desk (unlike the ballerina).

It's all in the name:  Good Stuff.  Not fantastic, but definitely good.  Good spot for a fresh quick lunch or dinner.  Very clean and totally cute to look at (fun food-related artwork).

I like the wraps -- they're healthy and delish.  I usually get the tuna wrap and feel pretty darn pleased with my healthy self during and afterwards.  :)  My girl Adrienne loves their veggie burgers, salads, and onion rings.

Why only 3 stars then?  Well...they're kind of on my sh*t-list because I'm in love love love with their breakfast pitas and used to cruise in around 2pm on Sunday to chow down.  Unfortunately they've really restricted their breakfast hours.  It's now cut off at around 10:30 or 11am on the weekends.  WTF??!?!?  Who in their right mind is awake at that time on the weekend?  So you see the dilemma.

Next time you're in there (cause you'll want to try it) make sure to tell them that I'm still mad at them and they need to extend those breakfast hours.  For the sake of me and my pitas.  Ol' Good Stuff is keeping us apart.

Good place for a turkey burger or wrap for lunch, and a great place for breakfast on the weekends.  Unfortunately breakfast ends at noon on weekends.

They lose a couple of points for their relatively small portions and the lack of healthy alternatives to french fries to accompany their burgs.

The food here tasted like it was healthy to me. That's what they claim. I went for an early dinner and the place was not too busy.

This was your average local fast food joint. But the menu was different. Wraps, "Pita Stuffies" and Burgers. Salads and shakes. Fries and Rings and Sweet Potato Fries as well. Great prices.

Nothing very creative when it comes to the ingredients though. My veggie stuffie was simply a gardenburger, shredded lettuce and avocado on a toasted pita. I filled up though. so no complaints.

Would this be my first choice when in the mood for a veggie burger? Hardly, but at least now I can say that, indeed it was Good Stuff if someone asks me about it.

Ok, here goes my second attempt at yelping this place.  During the first time, the site crashed and I was too drunk and tired to start again.   But now that I'm at work and only a little tired, I can write a proper review.

Food's pretty good for what it is.  Healthy tasting but the portions make me think otherwise.  Burgers are pretty big.  You can get a wheat bun.  The sandwiches area all pretty good.  I particularly like the fish sandwich.  Very good.  The prices are about 5 to 10 bucks.  They also have a pretty good breakfast selection which is nice for that area.  They take phone orders and it's probably better to do so because the walk up order line can get pretty long, especially during lunch time.

Parking is a little tough.  The lot is a major pain in the ass, especially since it shares with a strip joint and a Coffee Bean.  And the spaces are a little on the small side.  You might have better luck street parking with meters on Olympic or else parking on the other side of the Chevron on the parallel street.

There's a lot of seating in the place, but if you go during a busy time you might have a hard time finding a space to sit.  There's outdoor seating, but I don't think it technically belongs to Good Stuff although people use it all the time.

This is the place for phone in and pick up.

Pretty much everything I've had here has been great.  The only items that didn't wow me were the wraps.  That's not to say that they weren't good, I just wasn't nuts about them.  On the other hand,  the burgers and salads hit the spot every time.  The sweet potato fries are also really good.  My friend loves the lemonade, but it is a bit tart for my liking.  They also have punch cards (buy 10 and the 11th is free kinda thing), just make sure you don't try to combine cards; they have an issue with that for some reason.

Quality fast food joint that's a welcome break from the chains.  Their California style means wheat instead of white bread and sprouts on the burgers.  Excels at being unexceptional--good food, clean kitchen and quick service.  They get the basics right.

Great place for burgers! We used to pick these up and head over to Clover Park on beautiful saturdays. Yum!

Casual place, and inexpensive. I like the Good Stuff with Cheese. Or the M & M (Mozz & Mushrooms) You can make any burger a turkey burger as well. Plus, they've got a variety of wraps and other sandwiches to choose from if a burger isn't your thing. Smoothies as well.

Only things I don't really like are the fries and onion rings, yet we always seem to order them! The fries always seem to be on the soggy side, they are like very thin, small threads. (When I need a salty/crunchy french fry fix I stick to the usual fast food junk places.) And the onion rings' batter just seems really bland. I tend to drown them in a lot of ketchup and tabasco!
