Noting special....but definitely better than expected for a 2 star hotel. The lobby was closed when we got to the motel at about 9pm so we registered via the window. Not a big deal, the worker was friendly and even dressed up to show her spirit on Halloween night.
3 stars.....For around $36 a night (that includes taxes).....oh heck yeah....I'd definitely recommend anyone passing through to stay here. We just needed a place to crash Halloween night after attending the exotic zone ball at the CalExpo (only about 1 mile away). Rooms were clean, simple, and bed pretty comfy.
Since it is close to the freeway and along a main streets, it might be loud depending on which side of the hotel u stay. We fortunately got the quiet side and were completely satisfied with our stay based on the price we paid.
Stayed here overnight on a Saturday since we were up in Sacramento for a wedding.
My boyfriend's parents had gone up the night before and had already reserved 2 rooms for $38 (king bed) on http://Hotels.com. His mom was able to get two rooms the next day on Saturday when we arrived for $44, the price offered on http://Hotels.com. Wish I had her reserve me an extra room 'cause I ended up paying full price for 1 king bed $58!Yikes!
At first I thought me and my boyfriend's room was crap compared to the 2 queen beds his mom had gotten us (we gave that room to the guys that came up with us. No thanks for sharing a room with 3 large guys who snore). Both rooms had a fridge but two of our friends said their room had no fridge and didn't even have a dresser lol.
Our bathroom was pretty weird. It was obviously built to be handicap accessible so everytime we took a shower our bathroom would flood up. You would think they'd be smart enough to build the shower on a different level or atleast put a border around it.
And I had to air out our room for atleast 2 hours until the 'public bathroom' smell disappeared when we first got it.
Positives I gotta say are their service. Everytime I went up to the front desk the ladies were very nice and helpful.
The beds were surprisingly comfy to us and their sheets are soooo much better than other motel quality sheets (i.e. Motel 6).
The pool was nice. Doesn't look like much but it did it's duty at 8:30 in the morning in scortching Sacramento weather.
And I gotta say that they are really COOL. Our room and one of the guys' rooms was right near ours so we left our doors open and people went back and forth. We got no complaints for the alcohol or for being too loud. The guys didn't take it in until the sun came up.
Thought the location was pretty cool too. It's right off of 50 and being a bit familiar with the Sacramento area it's about 20min and mayb some to everywhere you'd want to go (that is if there even is anywhere in Sac you'd want to go lol).
Good Nite Inn did it's job :)
Yeah, this is not a place you'd wanna stay for a long time.
HOWEVER, it is a good value for the price you pay. Pretty much, I did the very same thing Joseph S did; I needed a cheap hotel room for a night, went on http://www.hotels.com and reserved my room literally the morning I was going to be there. Very cheap: 38$ for one king bed, non-smoking.
Like a few people have said, the staff was extremely friendly. I was impressed by the fact that they offered one type of danish + one type of muffin, and orange juice + coffee in the morning; whereas, I looked at Holiday Inn Express online, and I was going to pay 104$ for a room but wouldn't get a "continental breakfast." Hmmm. :\ They offered a few television channels, and you could use wireless internet (but there was a surcharge).
I was definitely glad there was a deadbolt, turn-lock, and key-card access as three lines of defense, though! Despite the hotel being right next to the freeway, it wasn't bad at all when I turned on the heater (good white noise for when I was sleeping). Though it was a bit dilapidated and dingy, everything was in perfect working order and clean.
Definitely not a ritzy top-of-the-line hotel, but great for a place to lay your head for a cheap price.
This was the most horrible hotel experience I have ever had!!
First of all, the clerk was very rude. I think his shift was almost over though. He checked me into my first room. I lug all my stuff upstairs to find someone in the room already!
So I go all the way back downstairs. The second clerk was nicer and apologetic. She checks me into a second room. Again, I lug all my stuff upstairs only to find a mess in the room- cups with beer on the tables and un-made beds!
Needless to say I did not stay there that night.
The outside of the hotel looked okay online, but I think these photos make the place look nicer than it really is.
Bad location, i.e., very busy area.
Noisy all night.
I was looking for a place to stay for the night. It's cheap, I reserved it on http://Hotel.com, $34 + $4 fee, $38 a night, that is the cheapest I found near Rancho Cordova. Arrived around 11PM, very friendly staff. The hotel was close to the high way, but my room wasn't noisy as all. Bed is comfortable. I think they just washed the carpet, the rooms smells kind wet.
The bad part about this room is when I'm taking a shower in the morning, the water was luke warm and got colder after 5 mins. the water went through the curtain and water was all over the bath room floor. Didn't like that.
But over all, it's ok for the price.
I just needed a place to lay my head in Sacramento and found this property on Expedia. It was cheap and seemed to meet my requirements.
I was a bit worried about some of the reviews on another hotel review site but was reassured and impressed by the attentive replies given by the motel manager on that site to all the problematic reviews.
The motel is easy to find just off CA-99. I had a late arrival and the young man who checked me in was most helpful.
My room was clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable with nice pillows. There was an outdoor pool and an internet kiosk in the lobby (extra charge).
I would return to this property in the future which represents good value for money.
