WORST HOTEL EVER.

I have stayed at quite a few dives in my day...college + failing economy = ghetto road trip that you can only do when you're in your early 20's while still looking economical rather than a cheap screw.

I have stayed here before (for a similar soiree going down in San Bernadeezy), and I didn't realize I rated this place below mediocre last time. Here is why THIS PLACE SUCKS SO MUCH:

         1. We booked TWO MONTHS  in advanced, but
they didn't have my order there...conveniently the
whole hotel was full (gave my room away I'm
guessing) and I had the confirmation receipt from
expedia on hand, so they put my group of FOUR
(which was supposed to be in a 2/bed room) into
a 1/bed room that was only vacant because it was
leaking everywhere and they didn't plan to rent it with
the plumbing problem. They didn't comp us anything,
or discount the price for the SEVERE downgrade.

         2. NO TOWELS IN THE ROOM. Nuff said.

         3. The service sucked. The lady at the front desk
was slow, incompetent, rude, and overall just a bad
salesperson. She scurried to the back often to ask
the manager who NEVER CAME OUT for what to tell
         us.

!!!!!I HATE THIS MOTEL. I AM NEVER STAYING HERE AGAIN. YOU SHOULDN'T EITHER. I HATE THIS MOTEL. I AM NEVER STAYING HERE AGAIN. YOU SHOULDN'T EITHER. I HATE THIS MOTEL. I AM NEVER STAYING HERE AGAIN. Phew there's my rant.

this place is inexpensive, perfect for a temporary stay on the way to somewhere else.

the check-in was quick and efficient and the room was pretty clean.
they've recently renovated the majority of the property.

near the office they have a small room with vending machines for snacks and sodas.

there isn't very much to do in the area though.
like the street name, the area is somewhat industrial.
redlands university is a few miles further inland.

there's a 24 hour ihop and a barbecue restaurant within walking distance.. about a block or so away.
a couple more blocks away there's a couple gas stations, del taco, and some other mexican restaurant.

the beds were comfortable, the air conditioner worked very well, and the bathroom was clean.

+ plenty of parking
+ free local calls
- not much of a "destination"
- pharaoh's lost kingdom is out of business
[the only pseudo amusement park in the area]
