Just realized that I never wrote an update for Daniela's service after our trip, once we'd actually used her service. Very pleased to say that all my first impressions of her (friendly, professional, responsible) were borne out in her care of my dogs while we were out of town. She was great about texting us with updates on how the pups were doing and funny notes about their personalities, and when we got home we had an extensive note from her. She was very proactive in dealing with issues around the house (even gave the dogs a good brushing and washed their dog bowls!), and we came home to find two happy, well-adjusted pups.
Overall, definite 5 star service. We haven't traveled since, and probably won't in the near future because we're expecting a baby, but we told Daniela just to keep our key because there's no doubt who we'll use as a sitter when we do venture out again.Listed in: For My Pups

I really can't say enough great things about Daniela with Good Grief Pet Care. I have two pugs and she is absolutely wonderful with them. They are always excited to see her. I am completely comfortable with Daniela in my house and with my dogs. I know she truly cares about their well-being. Earlier this year while I was out of town Daniela house sat for us, one of pugs got sick and had an accident on the carpet. Daniela cleaned up the mess, called the vet to make sure everything was okay, and kept me informed of everything.
The bottom line is don't skimp on Pet Care. Our pets are like family and I will not let just anyone watch them? If you are looking for someone friendly, knowledgeable, reliable, and trustworthy.....Daniela with Good Grief Pet Care is your girl.

I initially had a hard time finding a new pet sitter after moving from the East Bay -- everyone I contacted was already booked, too far away, too expensive, etc. So I feel very lucky to have found Daniela! She looked after my pet birds while I was out of town for a week, and was very thorough and professional in learning about their daily routines, behaviors, possible signs of illness, and so on. I got email updates every day, letting me know how things were going. I had asked her to just keep an eye on the house while I was gone, but I came home to find she'd gone above and beyond in straightening up and leaving everything cleaner than she found it. Totally recommended!

I've used pet sitters in 4 states (NY, MN, PA, CA) and Daniela is the best.
To start with, her intake form asks the kinds of questions none ever thought to ask, like "In the event there is a vet emergency, to what dollar amount am I authorized to spend on behalf of your pet, with the expectation of getting reimbursed?" and other health care proxy kinds of questions. Genius.
My dog and cat love her, and I dare say my cat prefers Daniela to me. The cat is ultra-picky, so I'm thrilled she's cool to have Daniela visit with her while I'm gone. No more guilt there.
Daniela is reliable, accomodating, conscientious and responsive. For example, she has advised me on puppy-proofing the house, how to pick a vet for the dog, how to prep the dog for spaying, etc. She responds to my emailed service requests super-fast which helps me reduce the amount of time I need to remember to hear back AND gives me a record of my request in case I forget if I've already asked. She pings me closer to the date to arrange pick up of the keys, which is good because I forget. I need more people like Daniela in my life, can you tell??
I just had to post a review, because Daniela inspires tremendous confidence with a gentle, earnest demeanor and a sincere competence to handle whatever may come. You'll be happy to work with her, too, I'm sure of it. -

Daniela has become in a short time our source for everything related to our cat. in addition to her reliable and pleasant service , she is encyclopedic in her knowledge of pet care. We changed our cat's food diet and our cat has responded well to Daniela's recommendations.

Daniella took care of my 2 cats while I was away on vacation. She sent me updates via email which was great. She played with them everyday and even gave them kitty nip which was a bonus since they love the stuff :) I felt like she really likes animals and therefore gave them the attention they needed when I couldn't give it myself. I'd recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter. It's better to get someone who knows what they're doing and can handle any animal issues that could arise. A+ !!!!

Daniela is a life saver!!! She's helping us with lunch time walks for my two doggies a few days per week. I cannot say enough about how grateful I am that she offers this service. Not only is knowledgeable but she's incredibly friendly and truly loves animals. My girls love her and are so much happier on the days she visits. Thank you Daniela!!!

Daniela has been our pet sitter on 2 occasions. She has cared for our 2 guinea pigs for the past 2 summers and we have been impressed each time. We wanted someone to visit consistently and who had small animal experience, since the weather can get really hot for them. This summer, when it got too hot, she moved our heavy outdoor umbrella to provide added shade for the piggies. She even took care of the ants that started coming out and refilled our wasp traps! She really goes above and beyond. We especially appreciate her email updates when we are on vacation. It eliminates the worry so we can enjoy our time.
It's great to find such a caring, meticulous and knowledgeable sitter. We hope she will be in the business for a long time to come and would recommend her to anyone who has a pet, large or small. -

We used Daniella to watch our pet over the Thanksgiving break. She really went above and beyond our expectations and we will be using her again instead of Pet Smart or a local boarding center. Our animal seemed to really like her from the start and all the emergency scenarios (from property damage to medical conditions) we could think of in our interview with Daniella were addressed appropriately and professionally. Daniela Grief who is the owner/operator of Good Grief Pet Care is absolutely wonderful. Her attention to detail and knowledge of animals and their needs is unparalleled. I used to take my two dogs to a boarding kennel when I had to travel for business and would worry about them the entire time I was gone. They are both rescue dogs and have their own unique personality quirks and needs, and I was constantly concerned that something would go wrong with all the other dogs at the kennel. Then I found Good Grief Pet Care. Once I met Daniela I knew I had found the right person to care for my dogs while I'm gone. I spoke with two of her other clients who had nothing but great things to say about their experiences with her. While she is watching my dogs, I feel so much better about leaving them since they get to stay home and the experience of me being gone is a lot easier on them. I get daily updates on how they are doing, and the level of detail that Daniela notices about their behavior makes it completely apparent that she truly loves animals and is dedicated to what she does. I feel really lucky to have found Good Grief Pet Care, since it alleviates all the stress I used to have while traveling worrying about my dogs in the kennel and how they were doing. Now I know they are getting the attention they need without having to be in a strange environment, I don't have to worry about them getting sick while they're at a kennel (this has happened to one of my dogs twice) and I feel good about the care they are receiving. I'd highly recommend Good Grief Pet Care to anyone!
