Have you ever come off the subway knowing the lights will be all off when you get home? Your apartment is still like whitewater, mired in the silence excluding the activity on floors above and below.

You're alone, and you know when you finish your meal, only you will have any need for the leftovers, becuase you cook too much food, just in case someone unexpected should drop in, hungry.

What you need are some Good Friends. They are ready for you, sitting by the phone, hoping you might want to know, "Whats up?"

In your evaluation of Good Friends, the first step you should take is to completely disregard and mentally invalidate the any review which does not automatically give the yelp-limited 5-star rating.

Ready, then please continue to edify yourself with a guide to good eating.

Good Friends is exactly what they claim to be. A stranger sharing their umbrella when you have none in the rain.

When I wallow in my own despair and my own mind cannot avoid the transgressions of my regrets, I get the veggie lo mein, afterward, my soul reverts to an oversaturated joy of the unstained self, and I can move forward with the real belief that when I apply to this next job, they will call me back.

Anything that has chicken in it is guaranteed to not put you off like the other take-outs. The meat is familiar and retains the principle characteristics from your memories of chicken meat as a child. The savory hoison flavors transpose the spirit back to innocence, a state of a child - a child with Good Friends.

Happy, under the light rappelling through the gaps in the leaves, with happy parents who never raise their voices, they smile slowly, at the happy child unweighted by the years not yet tarnished with things done wrong and others not done at all. Nothing hurts; everything is beautiful.

I want to stay forever.

It also doesn't cost a whole lot. Really, that's a plus too. Seriously, cost vs. quality, the ratio is higher than most.

Not really feelin' it... had the General Tso's and it wasn't very tasty.  Portion size was pretty good... if it's late and you live in a two block radius it beats the bodega...
