Great atmosphere (I like the red tin tiled ceiling, the long, skinny room, the dog pictures all over the wall). Even though it was a Saturday night, it didn't feel overly crowded or hip. An older crowd, it seemed. Late 20s/30s.
Good food. And nice tables, if you can snag one. We had a chicken quesadilla, sweet potato fries (which is also mixed with regular fries), and flatbread pizza. All delicious.
As an out-of-towner, I don't really know how this compares to other places, but I liked it. Definitely I did.
Definitely one of the better burgers in the city. The Good Dog burger comes stuffed with roquefort cheese and topped with caramelized onions. It also comes with a nice portion of regular and sweet potato fires which are excellent. My heart normally starts beating irregularly after finishing the burger and fries but it's well worth it.
The beer selection is good for the most part. You'll find all the locals along with other great beers like Bell's, Rogue, and Chimay.
The service has always been on point and while it gets busy most nights, you can normally find a seat one of the three floors without a problem.
Before you start wondering why I didn't give this place 5 stars, it's ONLY because of the prices, and no they weren't bad, just...over $10 for a burger? I don't know but I just hate handing over that much cash for a good old fashioned burger.
With that only weird thing out of the way, the burgers were AMAZING. Probably the best burger I have had in the city so far, and that's including Five Guys and the normal bar-type places. It's simple, that's what makes it so good. It's just good quality, thick, tasty meat, that's all there is to it. Really thick burgers, really good toasted bun, and huge portions of sweet potato and regular shoestring fries cooked to perfection. This food is really tremendous.
I ordered the Good Dog Burger which came stuffed with cheese and topped with sautéed onions. Wasn't much onions on it but the flavor was all there. Cheese just leaked out as I bit into it, oh my god it was so good. They serve you a sauce that is kind of like a mix between mayonnaise and ketchup, and it was perfect for both the burger topping and to dip the fries into, so good. My girlfriend ordered the regular burger and that was fantastic too, topped with cheese and lettuce, and the same sauce. Here, it doesn't matter what burger you get, it's always going to be good because of their meat, it's just incredible.
Next, the beer. They have plenty of micro-brews on tap as well as plenty of bottles and cans for you to choose from. I had a couple beers that were both pretty good. Philadelphia Pale Ale and a Flying Fish Grand Cru. I really love Pale Ale's and the Grand Cru had a unique sweet taste to it that really did go well with my meal. It was also during the 4-6 weekend happy hour where each drink is $1 off, so that was awesome. My girlfriend had a couple cans of the Strongbow Cider, imported from England. It's like a spiked apple cider, it's actually really good. They were pounders too and with happy hour just $5 each...awesome.
Overall awesome meal and awesome beers. The bar itself is nice and dim and the crowd seemed real cool, people were real friendly and attentive, no d-bags here. Bartenders were real nice and so was the server, plus she seemed like she knew a lot about the beer which was cool, that's always cool.
Apparently they have more than one story but the guy said that they were having a private party upstairs and we only could choose from the downstairs tables to eat (or eat at the bar). At first we weren't sure how much this was going to affect us but it only took about 10 minutes to grab a table and the waitress noticed right away and gave us the seat, that was real cool. They really don't have a set hostess however so finding a seat (unless you let someone know on your own) could probably become a war if it's real crowded, I guess that's another small minus.
Overall, good bar, good beer, GREAT food, and decent prices. Will definitely be back with some friends to grab a burger and a good draft, maybe one of those private parties can become my birthday?!
I'm a big Good Dog fan. I love the beer and the food is delicious. With that said the atmosphere lately has been really lame and stupid. It was a total drag this Monday! Good god, Good Dog, did you really need to put on the digital cable TV classic rock DJ channel? You are way more creative than that. I was at a booth facing the TV and it was torture. It is now Friday and I can't get the lyrics to Eagles "Life in the Fast lane", specifically "He was a Hard headed man he was brutally handsome, and she was terminally pretty" out of my head! rrrrr
I've only been here once, and I really need to go back for their sweet potato fries alone. The atmosphere is nice, and there are cute pictures of dogs all over the walls. The beer selection is really good, and it is relatively cheap, especially considering the location. It was a nice place to relax and watch the Phillies game the day I went. The service was friendly as well. I need to go back again sometime soon. I heard their burgers are top notch. I need to try them.
I have tried every single menu item and its all very good. My top 3 would be 1Gooddog burger 2Gooddog salad 3macaroni and cheese.Literally everything is good.
Sometimes the planets align, the stars shine down and the angels sing, and last night, this happened at Good Dog. I have always enjoyed this lovable pup of a bar, and after traipsing around town looking for a place to watch the Phillies get into the World Series again, my friends and I arrived on the second floor, where the only empty bar table in all of Philadelphia awaited us. Beautiful.
I can always find a beer I haven't tried yet at Good Dog, and their seasonal cocktails are interesting - sometimes delicious and sometimes kind of the opposite of delicious. Last night my friend tried to order one and was warned off by our waitress, which was kind of her.
The menu is on the small side but well-rounded, with options for a full meal, dessert or just drinky snacks, and there is plenty to choose from for vegetarians. The grilled cheese (hold the bacon) is divine, and last night I branched out and tried a veggie cake sandwich, which was also delicious, with beet chips and a zesty mayo. The mix of sweet potato and regular old potato fries offers a welcome element of surprise rarely found in that food.
When I grow weary of the endless shuffling and scratching of baseball or my friends' increasingly drunken banter, I love to just space out for a minute and look at all the dogs. So many adorable dogs. Man, I love dogs. Good Dog. Yes.
Damn. That IS a good burger.
They also have a respectable beer list with prices that don't make your eyes pop out of your head. Walking the line between hipster banality and beer snobbery is tough, and I think they do a pretty decent job. Some bottles are overpriced, but between the draughts and the specials, you should have plenty of choices.
This seems like a great place to come after work for a bite to eat and a few beers. Doesn't hurt that it seems to attract a lot of cute hipster girls.
Believe the Hype!
One of the best burgers I've ever had. It was huge, juicy and cooked to perfection. Also...the sweet potato fries were amazing. When so many bars serve burgers & fries as an afterthought...in the hopes that the booze-soaked, unwashed masses will scarf them down unwittingly...Good Dog's burger is a true culinary entity.
On top of that...great service, a respectable beer selection...and a central location makes Good Dog a perfect starting point....or last stop...depending on your food and/or alcoholic needs.
I love the Good Dog burger. In fact, I really thought I wrote a review for this place already because I love it so much. The burger is always perfectly cooked, with its signature mild blue cheese oozing from the center of the burger patty. Fat, juicy, deliciousness paired with its perfect soulmate, sweet potato fries. I think I have ordered other things here, but I don't remember what they are because the good dog burger is so amazing.
I think it's also a clever idea for them to have their (yearly?) dog photo contest and then decorate the the place with the entries. Customers can then come in and see their cute lil pup hanging on the wall! Mine is the adorable golden lab puppy towards the front of the first floor. :)
Fantastic fries, fun space, cute waiters, and great beer.
Their Fall cocktails were really fun and tasty.
So have a drink and some fries and flirt with your waiter!
I've been to the bar many times for drinking some quality beers, but usually never for food until last night. I wanted a good burger so I heard they had a good burger, but I was disappointed. The burger at its center is about 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" thick; my mouth is not that big. I ordered the regular burger with the caramelized onions. I expected the onions to be overflowing for the extra 50 cents but only a pittance was provided. The meat was juicy and the roll was fresh, but the overall flavor was slightly better than average.
I also tried the fried mozzarella, its was very disappointing. I ate one and then only took a bite out of another. The breaded coating had little flavor, though it looked enticing. The fresh fries are delicious with the aioli dipping sauce.
I paired by food with Kwak; its flavor helped me enjoy the food.
Two review updates for a bar that already has a lion's share to begin with might be overboard, but I would be remiss if I didn't report on the fabulosity that continues to bestow me on every visit. After having dinner in Society Hill, my friend and I cabbed it up to 15th to pay a little visit to The Good Dog. The downstairs bar was packed as usual, but we found a little nook by the bar on the second floor to hang out and watch the Phils.
I wasn't sure what kind of beer I was feeling but Josh, the bartender, proved to be a walking encyclopedia of beer knowledge. I was introduced to many new suds; all of which were amazing in their own way, none of which I actually remember the names of today, outside of the Dogfish Head Punkin Ale (victory!!!).
When my friend decided to call it a night, I felt comfortable enough to hang out for a while on my own. Oddly enough, this is something I have no problem doing in other cities, but have a very hard time with in my own area. Fortunately, talking with Josh was like chatting with an old friend and put me at ease in a situation I have always felt anxious about. I now have full intentions of baby-stepping my way through this phobia and I know exactly where I'll be doing it!

I used to frequent this place with my boyfriend to take advantage of their "in the biz" 20% discount. I took a trip back for a quick happy hour. The bar downstairs was packed at 6:30 on a Wednesday, but the 2nd floor was empty.
The specials were 1/2 price cans & $5 specialty drinks. I got the Arnold Palmer, sweet tea vodka and lemonade. Nothing fancy, just a great tasting simple drink. Our server was fantastic, incredibly accommodating and friendly without being saccharine sweet. She even let us take the table even though we weren't planning on ordering food.
A couple of Arny Palmer's later we were ready to order food! The fries were amazing - as usual - 1/2 sweet potato, 1/2 regular and perfectly crispy.
I have absolutely nothing to complain about. Love the location, food, puppy pictures & price.
I am sitting here at work in Scranton thinking abut what I want for lunch. And the only thing I can think of is GOOD DOG! I have only been there once, but I heard about it for years. My girlfriend live in the city for 7 years and went to Good Dog at least once a week for all of those years she was 21+. I have heard stories of their grilled cheese for years now, and a last month I got to try one. It was amazing! The best grilled cheese I hav ever had along with amazing fries.
I kind of have a thing for fries and Good Dogs mix of sweet potato and regular fries was great. Along with an amazing dipping sauce I have only had once before (at Nodding Head) made this a great meal!
Not to mention they have a great beer selection, another one of my things. I like a good dive bar and cheap beer, but when your favorite season of the beer is Oktoberfest, you want a bar that has some good ones on tap and Good Dog is that place.
Good Dog does not disappoint. The decor is plenty of nice looking pups, along with a great old Yuengling ad with dogs. It is a nice Pub feel, and I felt very comfortable being there. The only way to be disappointed with this place is if it is so packed you can't get past the front door (This happened to me the first two times I tried to go there). If I wasn't 2 hours away, I would be there all the time for a good pint and some great food.
After a day of bee-bopping around town, my friend and I ended up here. It was a little goof-ball to get a table, since it was kind of crowded on a SAturday, and there is no real hostess stand. I said to friend as I went to the restroom while we waited - "don't lose eye contact...make sure they know we are here."
We ordered the mussels, which were excellent. had to ask for some extra bread to eat up all the leftover sauce, which had onions in it! among other items, and was really tasty. Plus different than your standard mussels with garlic/wine sauce.
then we each got the good dog burger. i had heard about this burger before, so was really looking forward to giving it a go. and boy was it worth it!
for one thing, the medium rare (mine) was actually cooked less than the medium. the cheese was PLENTIFUL and so melty. it was practically liquid. (you have to understand...i like a messy burger so this was right up my alley!)
they came with a MOUND of fries - both regular and sweet potato, all mixed in together. i don't even like sweet potato fries and thought these were great!
service was friendly enough (they didn't seem to like us very much when we first sat down, which was weird, but got better as the night went on) and the price is right.
can't wait to go back - would definitely bring friends here for something fun when we are craving a burger.
Great bar, great food, great beer, great people, comfortable booths...
Unfortunately I never got to see the second floor- it stays closed unless its peak times.
One of my favorite center city bars, the food is delicious, they have sweet potato fries and a great fries dipping sauce but I have to say my favorite thing to eat there is their chicken cordon bleu chicken tenders! yum.The food comes out quick too!
Everyone that works there have always been great, very friendly.
I love their third floor, where they have a pool table, darts and video games and bathrooms. It's a great place to hang out.
Good drink selection and they have bars on both the first and second floors.
Whenever someone asks me to recommend a bar to go to when I'm working at drinker's, I send them to good dog.
I think the only complaint I have is that their booths on the first floor are uncomfortable.
I've been here about 2 times, and was never really impressed.. Both times I've had to wait a long time to for a server. And when I finally received some service, the staff hasn't been too friendly.
Went there with only food in mind on Tuesday night, one particular food in fact.. the good dog burger. Had heard so much about it and the debates that it starts, I had to make my own opinion. Started off with the mussels and the cheesesteak empandas, both lacking. Empandads with accompanied with a sweet sauce that just did not work well at all, I stopped using it after the first bite. Then the pastry on the empanda was completely unflavored. The inside was well a cheesesteak and you can't screw that up, as long as you're in this city. The mussels were decent, the broth they were in though had a burnt aftertaste, which could've been derived from the burnt pieces of bread served with it. So after this so far, you're probably wondering how I gave this place 4 stars..
The Good Dog Burger. Lived up too and exceeded expectations. The criticisms that the cheese can get overwhelming, sure they're true. But at the end of the day the burger is cooked so perfectly and has so much flavor. The brioche bun, which I was skeptical about to begin with was perfect. And mine really wasn't a huge melting sloppy mess, I kept it under control. The mix of sweet potato and regular fries it's served with? Fantastic, along with the aioli.
Finally we were treated to a new item on the menu, chocolate caramel brownie a la mode. Delicious. Who knew Good Dog could have such a great dessert? The brownie was just light enough to still be considered a brownie but not a big fudgy heavy brick. Served warm, I mean you can't go wrong.
Good Dog is definitly worth your first trip to go and get their signature burger. If you like other items on the menu? Fantastic. If you don't? It's an awesome bar atmosphere so drink your pain away. But as for me, I'll be back many many times and for the sake of my arteries I'm going to try and not get the Good Dog burger everytime.. but who knows.
If I'm in center city and meeting up with friends to go to happy hour I usually end up at the good dog....but I wouldn't go out of my way to go here. Sure its a nice bar, they have decent food, a great beer list and good decor, but there's just something missing for me. Maybe its because I don't like center city all that much...but I don't think thats it. The service can be a little off sometimes, its crowded and there is a really weird smell that I don't particularly like. Also is kind of dirty compared to some of the bars I usually frequent. I feel like I'm kind of being a jerk, but that's how I feel. I will continue to go to Good Dog though, its cute and worth a trip, but its not a bar that pops into my head when i think -great bar-
I was just yelping around when I remembered I had never written about good dog and there bangin burgers!
AMAZING!!!! This is probably the best burger I have ever put in my mouth. Juicy and cheesy and oh so delicious. The bar itself is great to excellent beers on tap and the service is always friendly. I usually go there after a drunk Saturday with friends so its perfect to play some pool and soak up the alcohol with a burger and a mix of regular and sweet potato fries. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Cant wait to go back a feed my burger craving.
This is by far my favorite bar! Very cool people, relaxed atmosphere, great food, beer and drinks... who could ask for more??
The mussels are among my favorite and the staff down to the bus boy is fantastic!
So, Sara and I are bad. I will eat nothing but popsicles all day until I go and buy something to eat. I have nothing in my house. I have to go grocery shopping.
At 2pm we decided we should go get some lunch. We wanted to go have margaritas and nachos at jose pistolas or whatever it is called, but they don't serve lunch on saturday. So, off to good dog.
We both had the good dog burger. I wish they had more appetizer options or better options. We were starving and a tasty appetizer would have been great. The burgers were delicious. Carmelized onions and roquefort melt my heart. The fries were meh...they are fighting over being sabrina fries or nodding head. They are a mix of sweet potato and plain.
Our waitress was sweet. The prices are great. The locale is perfect if you need to hop on patco afterwards!
Burgers were pretty good. Big and greasy. Service so-so. Drink prices so-so. Funny cocktail names. That's about it. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.
This place is ok..the downstairs is always too crowded and too loud.
I will say the sweet potato fries are good...
but I just tried the so called "cheese fondue" on the new items menu and whoever decided this is fondue is a jerk. There wasn't bread, dipping forks or bubbling cheese sauce, there was however a ramekin with something that looked like puke and stale nacho chips. Seriously it had chunks of corn in it ! The price wasn't listed either..$10 blah.
You know, I'm kind of surprised that I didn't already write an update for Good Dog, considering the fact that I had the chance to revisit it way back when with a bunch of Yelpers after Carrie's office hours (I guess it really was that good of a gathering!). But since we took over it's upstairs area in style during Daria's birthday bash last night, I had the chance to experience it again to it's fullest potential.
First off I have to say how amazing the upstairs area really is. Even though I had an embarrassing number of Pool games where the only ball that I managed to hit in a pocket was the cue ball (I beyond choked!) I really did appreciate the table that it had. It also had a good dart board and a full sized Mega Touch that appeased my Photo Hunt addiction. But the coolest game related thing that it offered was by far it's arcade console. not only did it hook up Mrs. Pacman, it also hooked up space invaders, frogger, DONKEY KONG, and so much more. I doubt Namco, Atari, and Nintendo would like it, but it proved to be a old school gamers dream come true.
And holy freaking hell was the Good Dog Burger the stuff of legends. It hooked up at least a 1/2 pound of beef, carmelized onions, and a Roquefort sauce that was so good I was fingering it off my plate when I was done. and the fries were an amazing blend of regular and sweet potatoes. So while it is pretty hard to get a seat on any given day, Good Dog definitely has enough to keep you happy.

This is an absolutely awesome place. The burger is great and so is the salmon sandwich with bacon. The selection of alcohol is decent. I like to hangout in the pool area. My only problem is that I don't have a girlfriend to bring to this place :(
I started going to Good Dog about a year ago when I began working in the neighborhood. I've enjoyed a few half-priced canned nights and watched the Phillies win the World Series here.
Nothing fancy or trendy. Good beer, good food, good crowd.
I've always received good service, but then again I don't expect exceptional service. Go with your friends or go alone and make a few new ones. Good Dog is a great place to go, relax and grab a beer.
Oh and try the duck pot pie. It's awesome (but be careful it's served piping hot).
I am mildly addicted to the Good Dog burger. I always astound myself when I'm able to order something different. Even when I tear myself away from the GD burger, I'm never let down by what I chose. I have never had anything that I didn't enjoy, here.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think they've raised the prices of their beer recently. Just a dollar here or there on certain draughts... not enough to really notice. Even with a possible price increase they still have some of the best beers at the best prices.
If you haven't been here, you should go. You should go and you should order the GD burger and a beer. But life is short people! If it's an hour wait, go somewhere else and come back another time. Don't let things get you down, because it'll only make you cranky. And no one should be cranky when they eat a Good Dog burger.
End of review, start of tangent- Yelp is a weird beast. As you write more and more and grow older, Yelp gives you an interesting way to look back on your experiences. A year ago, when I wrote my last GD review, it fit my life. Now I look back and say, "What the hell was I wasting my time on that creep for?" Yelp kind of acts as a food and life diary. I dig it as long as it doesn't turn into diarrhea.

I've been here couple times before but never stayed very long due to the overcrowdedness. I went here last Sunday when it seemed that the entire Center City of Philadelphia looked like a ghost town (presumably most people were at the beach), so we had no problems getting a seat and prompt service. I woke up very hungover, so I was definitely in the mood for a big meal.
I heard about Good Dog burgers as being one of the best burgers, if not, the best burger in the city. I went with their signature burger which has the Roquefort cheese stuffed in the 1/2 pound beef patty. It sounded great. As I took the first bite, because I was so hungover-starved, the first taste was awesome. I was thinking this could compete as one of the better burgers I've ever had. Then, I got to the middle of the burger with the Roquefort cheese. It was okay for awhile, but as I was downing the the 2nd half of the burger, I could only taste the Roquefort cheese. The stuffing was over-powering the burger and its grilled onions. My final verdict was that this burger was very average.
I heard from others that their other burgers and sandwiches are awesome. I'd be willing to go back some other time to try other stuff. As for the bar itself, it seemed that they had a good beer selection. The service that day was also very good.
The best pulled pork sandwich I've had in Philadelphia so far. For the past month or so I've been ordering pulled pork everywhere I went--Monk's, Jose Pistola's, Bull's BBQ at Citizen's Bank, et cetera--and have been left pretty underwhelmed, until now. Astoundingly tender pork, with just the right amount of flavor, set perfectly against the texture of the bun. Really fantastic. The apple slaw was also very good.
I am still bewildered by the fry situation, however.

Best burger in the city. Hands down.
This is such a great spot for all. Not uppity, not too casual, Good Dog has the perfect ambiance to bring anyone here to get a good beer and a great burger.
My only complaint is I one time ordered the hot wings and asked for ranch, to which they replied "we don't serve ranch here."
I have to ask - who doesn't serve ranch?
Otherwise, great bar, great food, and I highly recommend.
I don't know why it took six years of living in Philly to finally visit Good Dog (for a meal, that is, excepting some beer last summer), but it was clearly an oversight. Good Dog is pretty darn good, dog (please don't revoke my Yelp license, Yelp overlords). I've now been twice in the past month, having had the veggie cake sandwich both times. I wanted to try the mac & cheese this past visit, but it doesn't come with fries. That's all well and good, but I REALLY LOVE the fries. Who doesn't love sweet-potato fries? Stalin, probably, but he's the only person I can think of. They're particularly great here, and the veggie sandwiches are good too. Beer list isn't bad; they had more good stuff the first time we visited, but when you're choosing between Stone and Lagunitas, clearly something is right.
Service has always been shockingly good, and the only problem with the space is that it gets wicked loud in the first floor bar area. Still, if you get a booth, it's not that claustrophobic, and that's possible if you're an old person (or act like one) and show up before 7 pm like I do. Arf.
I think there are certain expectations for any bar or restaurant with "good" in their name. Fortunately, Gooddog meets or exceeds these expectations in most measurable categories. The interior of Gooddog is prototypical Philadelphia Good-Beer Bar: dark, wooden, chalkboard with on draft (or draught or whatever) list, long bar, tattooed waitstaff, etc. One nice thing about this place is that it has a second and third floor (with a pooltable and darts) so it's capable of handling spillover, or spillup as the case may be.
However, none of this would count for anything if the food didn't show up. Fortunately, the menu is loaded with good sandwiches and what I would describe as "fancy comfort food" entrees. I particularly enjoy the meatloaf and was impressed by their Duck Pot Pie which featured some tasty duck confit filling. Prices are solidly in the middle but I think they are trending above what they are charging for service, taste, and selection.
Not much bad to say about this place! Went here for a night out with some friends a few weeks ago.
Our waitress was engaging and attentive, the beer menu was good but not overwhelming, their cocktails were unique and delicious (try the cherry blossom!), and their burgers are DELICIOUS and actually cooked to how you order. I'm not used to my burger actually being cooked medium. The potato fries with the chipotle ranch are insanely good as well.
I would go back to this place in a heartbeat for more.
Big plus for the burger. Slight minus for the fries that come with it.
I'm not a fan of any fries that don't let out a very audible crunch with each bite. Good Dog's fries do not perform in this regard.
Their burger, however, is succulent. It is worth getting. Also, if you're going for a darker pub environment with cute dog pictures on the walls, this place is for you.
Ordered the Good Dog Burger (patty stuffed with Roquefort cheese). Took one bite and the entire pocket of warm melted cheese spooged all over the place.
sorry folks, no other way to describe it.
2 seconds later I was eating an overdone burger with a big pocket in the middle of it - topping it off, it was served on brioche, which frankly has no room being used as part of a real sandwich imho. I didn't know it was served on Brioche, because this place is so dark, my 80 year old eyes couldn't read most of the menu.
Yes, it's dark - and also a bit of a CF. there are two seating areas, 1st floor and 2nd. you definitely had to play the game of figuring out which floor was best to hang on to grab a table. because of miscommunication (and game-playing) one couple got bumped from line by some other folk, and they were pissed. Understandably pissed, but also vocally pissed wherever they hang out (which was inevitably close to me, no matter how hard I tried to avoid them). Even when we did get a table, it was given to my friend, who was further down the list than I was (didn't realize we had both gotten on the list because of said CF).
I had high hopes for this place - next time I will pass, I think
Nice staff, good beer selection and solid food. The fries with the house aioli are awesome. The mac n cheese was great-- the corn flake crust was a nice addition.
The bartenders were friendly and helpful, offering advice on places to go in the area (I was on a vacation) and kept the beers coming.
This bar is one of my favorites in Philly. In true Philly style, they focus on serving good beer (lots of microbrews, rotating selection) at good prices while serving quality food, rather than the normal pub fare. The first time I walked in, I remember feeling super cozy sitting in a booth surrounded by dark wood, dark red paint, tin punched red ceilings, and pictures of pups all over the wall. I was impressed by the beer selection, but blown away by the menu!
All of that is still true today. Good dog is a great place for lunch with the adventurous grandmother (she loves it here!) as well as a late night stop to soak up some alcohol in greasy fries. I especially love the quesadillas, the quiche, the grilled cheese, and (if I liked roquefort) the burger. The fries that come with all the sandwiches are some of the best in Philly: a mix of regular fries and sweet potato fries.
The service is sometimes a little lackluster, but it's always pleasant and the servers definitely know the beer on tap and do a good job helping you choose.
