This review is based solely on the water slides, which were awesome. They have great, unique, and fun water slides. The water slides where you shoot out of a tube and then into a funnel are so much fun. My girlfriend and I took my two nephews and we all had a great time. Also the wave pool and lazy river are a lot of fun.

The lame parts are the admission prices, which are pretty expensive and they won't allow any outside food, so you have to buy their horrible-fatty-over priced food. LAME!

This place is way better than Water World in Concord. It was a long drive for us to get there, but totally worth it.

New Go-Karts and a new track whoohoo!! Lazer tag is awesome and everything seemed to run smoothly. The golf course "putt putt" is decorated with Halloween spooky decorations. The arcade has been upgraded to a card system so no more carrying around tokens. The place was super clean and the staff was friendly to my nieces who were being indecisive about what prize to get. All in all FUN!!

good times for all!
I love to go a little crazy on the mini golf course! I've been on both courses and enjoy every hole.

Hello?  I know you get paid minimum wage but have you no pride?  Incompetance galore with the staff knowledge... but can't blame the kids... therefore poor, poor management, pa-lease... one star for the fun water park and one star for the fact that they will refund your money if the machines eat your tokens... WHICH HAPPENS EVERYTIME... pa-lease!

This place has quite a selection of arcade games for all ages. Its fun and actually decently priced!
We enjoyed our miniature golf game but beware that their were several parities of five or more on the course- which makes for a really slow game! If you have rules you should enforce them.

I'd try Scandia over this place.

Lazer tag stuff hardly ever works. Rude staff.
Old video games machines. Overpriced go-karts.

It's an arcade. It's shaped like a castle, as it should be. I went with a couple of shady characters to race go-karts. However, the "FastCar Raceway" didn't open until five, so we had about a half hour to kill. So we went into the arcade and found it blissfully deserted. There were only a few other patrons, including a man and his toddler playing a shooting game. The kid wasn't even tall enough to point his gun at the screen without holding it vertically. That didn't seem to bother dad, he was too busy blowing the shit out of everything on the screen to notice anything else. But I digress.

We decided that a nearly empty arcade is the perfect place to try Dance Dance Revolution. It cost us a dollar each and we got about 45 seconds worth of confusion before we were told we lost. That was a waste of money.

So then we tried to find something that would allow three players, because there were three of us, and we ended up with some fantasy game with characters that wished they were Conan and Red Sonja. It was kind of fun though. The best part was the ever classic skeeball. From our collective wins, we got enough tickets to purchase several tiny dinosaurs and army men, then staged a battle on the top of a Simpsons pinball machine.

That killed enough time for the go-karts to open, and for $6 each we got a car and enough time for me to say I had fun. I jumped in number 15, since it's the day of my birthday, and  proceeded to spin out before completing the first lap. I ended up stuck up against the railing until the teenager that was running the track hopped over and pulled my car backwards. After that, I had no more accidents and somehow I managed to win. It's because I was ruthless! Also, I was the only person who was small enough to fit in the car comfortably.

All in all it was a good time, but really, nothing exceptional. Very basic, really, deserving of about 3.5 stars.

We had a great time here!  Drove all the way from Valley-Joe, because we heard it was fun.  So we all piled into the car, stopped at Star Bakery to pick-up some Seniorita Bread and headed up.

We arrived around 10:30 and found out that you could get as much arcade play as you wanted, for $7, until 12:00 noon.  So the fella's grabbed bracelets and headed off for their favorite games and we bought tokens so we could play the ticket machines.

Then at 11:30 we bought tickets for the miniature golf.  The guys paid $2.50 (so basically unlimited golf and arcades for $9.50) and we paid $7.50.  There were 2 cool courses to choose from.  We also grabbed a kids meal from the subway, which ended up costing $3.99 plus tax.  Not bad for a 4" sandwhich, apple slices and milk.

They have some awesome packages for groups of 10 or more.  We had a great time and we'll br back.

On a typical water park, I expect a FUN time.  FUN with friends splashing about in the water, FUN in the wave pool, FUN riding on  tubes down the slides, and even more FUN screaming my heart out when I plummet down about 50 ft or more.  Oh, and it even gets more FUN when the employees are friendly and courteous to their customers --- I mean it is a place where people go to have FUN.

However...at Roseville Sunsplash, I never experienced such courtesy and politeness from their employees.  I rode the Stealth slide --- very steep slide and quite popular...and to get the most enjoyment out of it as much as possible, I let loose and gave a good loud scream.  I didn't have FUN when the employees kept yelling "shut up!" --- who the hell says that to a person who just rode a gigantic slide, I mean what do they expect? --- to just ride down and for us to say "oh, hey, that was cool..."  Who are they kidding?  And it gets worse....Kate R. and I rode another slide and right after we made it down to the pool, I let out a good "whooo!" and IMMEDIATELY, another employee yelled out, trying to be sarcastic, "SHUT UP AND GET OUT OF THE POOL!!!"  What the (insert vulgar four-letter word here)!!!!!?????

So...I ignored the brainless excuse of a waste of carbon-based mutated life force and resumed my day riding all the other slides.

The weather was in the 90s at night and a trip to the water park was a great idea....too bad I won't be coming back here.

I had high expectations of this place becasue a co-worker of mine recommended it. The rides itself were fun but I have to agree with a lot of people on here that the customer service here really sucks! We rented a cabana under the impression that we were able to get cabana service if we rang a bell. After many attempts of ringing this bell no one came so my wife and her friend went to go talk to someone. This person was really rude and a couple of other employees there laughed and stated that the bell never worked. My wife then told this lady that the reason why we rented this cabana was for the service and the person my wife talked to on the phone to book it was the one who told my wife that there was a bell. Well they ask the person who talked to my wife and she claimed she never said anything like that and that she's been working here for five years and that she wouldn't say anything like that. Other than the kids liking the wave pool and the lazy river my expectations were not met and I would think again about coming here.

Five Stars........for nostalgia reasons.....

Set your clocks back to 1996.........it was the Summer of Macarena.

I got a call from the Sunsplash people, needing a DJ for their Grand Opening in August.   I said, "Can I bring my 5-year-old daughter?"  They said "Sure, why not?" and we signed a 3 week contract.

The Lifeguards (all high school and Sierra College students) were very friendly and fun-loving.

However, they got a bit tired of hearing the "Macarena" every hour.  (It was a request from the park's management).

My daughter Allie was very helpful because every time the Macarena got played.........she would start the dance and within minutes hundreds of little girls (and quite a few boys) would be doing the silly dance.

Remember this was in 1996......they were doing Macarenas in football stadiums.....

Anyway, this was a fun time for myself and daughter.......she became an entertainer from this day forward and now is a professional singer, dancer, Salsa instructor, wedding coordinator.

We can trace it all back to that magical 3 weeks Grand Opening at Sunsplash.....

FAST FORWARD TO THE PRESENT:

My daughter still loves this place....its a fun place for teenagers (she's 16 years old now).  We no longer play the Macarena at any events and have not done so in FOUR YEARS.....

You can buy discount tickets for Sunsplash at COSTCO.

Yeah...its not that great. So they have minigolf, lasertag, arcades, go carts, and lots of kids - non of them were great.

Minigolf courses were lame. There are portions where you are asked to hit your ball through a narrow bridge or else your ball falls into the water.

Lasertag - the course layout is unimpressive. 1 floor with straight walls. you'll probably end up with a laser gun that doesn't work either.

Arcades - cheap, but old. They probably bought them off ebay or something.

Go-cart - small course and less than 5 minutes of ride. Not worth it.

Probably good for little kids, but no much else there.

I went to the arcade for the first time last summer. I had an AWESOME time there. The dude and I played arcade games for two hours straight! I've never really been an arcade type of person, so I totally felt like a kid again.

Now, after having so much fun there and wanting to go to the water park really bad. I went there the next month for I guess you can say my birthday. Even though I was turning 23...so what? A couple of my siblings and I went swimming in the pool and only went on one water slide since it was packed that weekend. Oh well...Still had a great time though. Will return this summer.

Minus one star for driving around FOREVER just for a parking spot...and the lines being so long for the water slides.

I only give this 4 stars because my daughters love the waterpark so much! The season pass is a good value if you buy it early. Night slide is not included by the way.  The food is way overpriced, and the place very overcrowded. The staff could care less if your a happy customer. So my daughters would give it 5 stars, I would give it 2 stars.

THE CASTLE!
Arcade games galore! I always get stuck playing the games that eat up your tokens and never give you tickets. "Tickets are a waste of money!" I always exclaim. But then I get sucked in and spend all of my tokens on that stupid game where you put in the token and it pushes tokens down into the thing and gives you tons of tickets. Curse you machine!
They have amazing fake moustaches in the prizes as well as this creepy magic lamp that I am determined to get.

I played mini golf there once. The employee stared at my boobs as he handed the clubs over... The course was nice, challenging...for mini golf.
I've never been to the waterpark part but it's way too crowded for my taste.

Well, I've never been to the waterpark but I have to say that their arcade is bomb! Great games and it's ridiculously clean and empty in there during the weekdays! It's so surprising! I hit my first jackpot on that game where you have to release a rubber ball from a tube and let it fall down to a spot. 700+ tickets, baby! YAY!

I'm so glad that this one employee had so much patience! It took me and my friends around 20 minutes to figure out what we wanted from the prize counter.I proudly took home a Magneto bobble head amongst some other stuff. (:

However! Their crane games are SO rigged. I adore crane games but how in the hell are you supposed to win a prize from them when the claws have only 2 "fingers". WTF!

4/5 because of the rigged cranegames! BOOO!

[A REAL EMAIL FOR THEIR MANAGEMENT]

To Whom it may concern (Please forward this to your management),

I, along with a small group of friends, visited your establishment last night only to come across a very rude lifeguard staff. In one instance a few men in my party began screaming happily as they landed in a pool after finishing a great slide, all of the sudden an extremely rude female lifeguard yelled to the top of her lungs in an obviously irritated tone: "STOP SCREAMING!" In another instance, I was speaking to a friend at the end of a pool ready to get out any minute, and a young male lifeguard, who was also very disgruntled, belted out "GET OUT OF THE POOL!" At no time did these two lifeguards ask us politely to do what they had yelled at us to do. We received absolutely no warning, just complete disrespect for having a good time. We did not mean to cause harm, we did not cause any harm, nor did we do anything to harm others, yet many of your lifeguards have obvious problems dealing with money-paying customers who are there just to enjoy themselves.

I knew I had enough when my party was waiting for two girlfriends who were still in the restroom. MANY of your lifeguard staff began shoo-ing people out of the area, I heard a few female voices scream: "GET OUT! GET OUT! YOU HAVE TO LEAVE." When my friends arrived they notified me that a lifeguard came in to tell them that they had: "THREE SECONDS TO GET OUT." They were forced out of the restroom half-dressed, while we were also being forced out of the picnic table area. At no time did your lifeguards use the word "PLEASE" or explain to us why it was so necessary for us to get out so quickly. I understand this was close to closing time, but as customers we paid good money to spend time in your establishment, we should not have been forced out of our will. We were not just loitering at the end of the night, we were just waiting for our whole party to be fully dressed, prepped, and ready to go.

You obviously need to give people shorter work-shifts, better pay, better training, or SOMETHING, because it appears that all of your lifeguards hate their jobs, which is such a sad waste of a nice place. I've been to many waterparks, including Raging Waters and Waterworld, and never have I encountered such a rude staff and service. I've been able to recieve warnings with a simple whistle blow and headshake, I've been able to stay in the bathroom until closing time, my party has been able to sit around until we're all completely ready to go. These establishments are the reasons I know why your park has problems with serving its customers.

Your ENTIRE lifeguard staff needs to be reminded that they are working at a family amusement park. That people are there to have a good time and their job should revolve around that fact that no one should drown. I can definitely tell you that I will not be returning to your park, neither will anyone from my party who joined me, also I will make sure of letting people know how I feel about your staff. I will not be recommending this place to anyone. You just lost our business, and anyone else's who will listen to what I have to say.

This place has a lot of great things to do from the mini golf to the water park, from the laser tag to the arcade, and recently they even put in a go cart track.  My only down fall is that I think they've tried to squeeze too much into that little plot of land.  When they first started out it was great, but now every time I go, its way too busy and parking is a nightmare.  I guess thats good for business though.  Be sure to place a limit on your spending when there or a whole day could put you back quite a bit.

This is a fun place to take the kids but can become pricey and very crowded.  I prefer to take the kids during the weekday hours to try to avoid the longer lines and/or the excited crowd.

When you first arrive the little ones are entranced by the big beautiful castle.  Inside of the lower floor of the castle there are many video games, a prize counter, and a pizza/ice cream/Subway counter.  On the upper floor is where the group parties meet and eat.  There is also a lazer tag arena on the upper floor that is 5000 square feet.  I like this arena much better than the one at the Country Club Lanes.  For one thing, the arena was bigger, cleaner, and had a lot of really nice art and some other cool light effects that gave it a better ambiance (reminded me of a better more roomier Oceans blacklight indoor golfcourse).  The equipment seemed to work alot better than at the Country Club location where the majority of the kids were running around asking if their gun worked.  At the lazer tag at Sunsplash, I did not hear any of the kids asking if there gun was working, rather just a bunch of kids shooting through holes, popping out of hiding spaces, and running around the 5000 square feet of space!  The one thing that my husband pointed out is that they do not explain the object (forts, etc) or rules and how to use the equipment, so you might want to make sure that you ask the employees to please give the kids a briefing.  I usually ask if I can go in with the group to take pictures and have never been denied.  I also think it is more fun to do this with a group of kids that your kids know...it seems the best part is comparing scores (with the score sheet that you can get after the game) and listening to each kids' experience.  Additionally, groups of 10 or more receive a discount.

Outside of the castle there is the water park, golfcourse, and the go-kart raceway.   It has been a while since we have done this golfcourse but from what I remember, we had a really good time!  I have not experienced the go-karts recently either.  But the water park is a must do every year!  Although my husband preferred Water world (I think for more sentimental reasons), I prefer the Sunsplash Water park.  I feel that the Sunsplash park is clean (much much much cleaner than Waterworld was) , better organized (majority of the rides root out from one spot, away from the kids water play area).  I found it much easier to find party members because of the centralized bridge you can stand on to see the waverider area, the lazy river, adventure island, the line for tubes to both the new rides and the older rides which are centralized.  If you are a crazy picture taker like me, the lifeguards at the bottom of the stairs can help guide you to the best positioning for picture taking.  At the bottom of those stairs, I do have to admit that it can get a bit confusing but the park tries to mark the stairs according to the slides name and how many tubes if any are allowed on the particular side.  I woud prefer it if they woud also put the slide's picture as I am better at having the kids describe which slide they are going on rather than telling me the name of it (ie: the white and blue slide rather than the Vortex).   My favorite is the Stormrider ( red and blue) because four people can go down at once.  The Master Blaster (lightblue roller coaster like) is also fun but remember to keep your bottom lifted or expect a good scrape on your butt!  Hubby likes the dark hole and the kids can't decide...each time is different and all are "so much fun".  I still have yet to conquer my fear of the Stealth.  As I write this, my feet go numb picturing the view at the top.

Minus a star for the looooooong lines to get a locker key or food at the water park.  They really need to have more open windows.  It would also be nice if we could buy an all you can drink stamp on our wrist band.  When we went with the school, they had this option available....it really made for a better and more economical experience.  Bringing your own plastic water bottles is recommended since the cost of drinks are really high.  I believe that there is also a mug that you can buy that will lessen the cost  of drinks when refilling.

This place is reallly fun but beware that many other people think so too so it does get really busy.
