So I yelped a mini golf location and this place popped up. You can see this place from the freeway, that's a plus.
Walking in you see the arcades. Their selection is alrght. The younger (kids) should have plenty to do. They have a party section as well.
Inside (the building) I give 3 stars, it is a bit bland and no very clean. BUT the golf courses are 5 stars. The courses are very nice. 4 different ones to choose from.
This place is great to mini golf and/or arcade. Family friendly, etc.
A large group of friends and I decided to play mini golf one day and came to this golf course. Upon exiting the freeway, finding the entrance for this place was an annoyance. We weren't sure which drive way lead into the course itself.
When you enter the building, you find a small arcade. There's a descent amount and variety of different games to participate in, but it's no Dave & Busters. Once you find your way to the back of the building, you pay for a game. It ranges from $2 for seniors and about $7 for adults. They hand you a ball of a certain color to keep you from mixing it up with someone in your party, a small club, a piece of paper and a pen, and you're off.
There are three different courses to play, each with eighteen holes. It's a good idea to split into two groups when you bring a party above six, or else you're going to be stuck golfing all day.
This place doesn't make you play by the rules, so it's free play and you can make it up as you go along. Beware of certain holes, one doesn't have a safety net for your ball, and it can end up in the dirty waters below. Other courts can be confusing as to where the hole really is.
There's a McDonald's within a two minute walking distance, so it's easy to please a kid's hunger after a game. A fun and average place to spend the weekend with either the kids or a group of friends.
Good for taking the little kiddies to for some first time golfin'. Fun when you are a dopey teenager looking to doof around with your doofy friends. Not so much fun to take a sulking tween to. We all got bored quick.
I totally miss the showboat.

Considering my love of kitschy things, naturally I love miniature golfing.
There's a picture of me when I was about 3 in front of the giant three-headed serpent moat monster in front of the fake castle. I think it was then the romance with Golfland began.
L.A. used to be a land of miniature golf courses. There were tons and tons of them in the city proper, particularly around the Mid-Wilshire/ Fairfax area. There are only a few now in mainly outlying areas like El Monte, South Bay, the Valley, etc. Golfland was the closest one my family visited, about 15 miles east of Downtown L.A. And this was the one I would go to in high school.
There's a large arcade with the usual assortment of arcade games. I like the Claw machine before they started stocking them with crappy plushies.
Rent a club (putter) and retrieve a stubby pencil and off you go! I don't play to win but I do win because balls like me. Huh? Well, I don't, I've seen them do funny things and always manage to land in the hole.
In recent years, they've painted the bits and bobs garish colors but somehow, I think it adds to the magic.
Nightime mini golf is the best though!

I love going to this place with my friends!! This is our favorite miniature golf palce. They have 3 courses and we've tried them all many times! They have so many unique putting grounds which makes up for a very fun and interesting challenge for me and my friends.
The only problem with this place is the area. It's very shady and there's always security walking around. It just doesn't feel very "safe" at times. But I've never seen or heard of anything happening so that's good.

Ah, summer vacation. Days spent at the beach, warm nights, countless ice cream dates, watermelon, bbqs....It's all so much fun.
And nothing spoils it like teen-agers.
If I ever have kids, as soon as their hormones start to rear their ugly heads, they're getting jobs. Or at the very least a hobby. Preferably away from me.
3 weeks. The last 3 weeks the girls I work with have been on summer vacation. That means 40-50 hours a week of hormonal rages, unexplained mood swings, gossiping and of course, boredom. Which includes the all-time favorite teen activity: complaining.
It really is amazing how much teen-agers can complain. And the things they find to complain about:
"I'm bored."
"I don't want to go there, that's stupid."
"It's too hot"
"You guys never do anything for us."
"We never go anywhere."
"I'm still hungry."
"THAT'S what we're eating? That's stupid."
"THAT'S all we're eating? That's stupid."
It's never ending. NEVER. ENDING. So in my meager attempt to at least quiet the complaining for a good hour or two, I took 3 girls here to do some good ol' mi nature golf. The other 3 got to stay home because, well, they don't know how to behave themselves all the time.
$5 a game and each game includes 18 holes. The quality of the course isn't great but whatever. It's Golfland, not the PGA. There are 4 different courses to pick from. They kindly give you an extra ball because I guarantee you, someone's ball is going in the lake/river/over the wall.
Turns out I gave the 3 girls something to really complain about: me beating them at miniature golf. Suckas.
Ah, sweet redemption.

this place is pretty cool.
they have a wide variety of golf courses and they are definitely fun.
inside they have a bowling alley and numerous arcade games.
overall.....pretty good place to play some miniature golf!
I've been going to this place since high school and it's always fun to go here, whether with friends, family, or a date. It's right next to the freeway so whenever you get to the holes that's like next to the freeway, try not to go all Happy Gilmore or you might cause an accident on the 60E.

I remember when I was a little kid, I used to love coming here. The place has not changed one bit. The golf course is still the same. I can still see my name carved on the mini house on hole #9. Just kidding. But seriously, this place needs a major update. If you are a little kid, this place might still be fun. But for the grown ups, don't bring your first date here. Inside the arcade is the same story. The have some cool games but they need to do something with the air conditioner. It gets freaking hot. When you play arcade you sweat. I hadn't even started playing and I was already sweating.
