Goldwaves is absolutely wonderful and is a hidden gem!
I'm very cautious and paranoid about who I let work with my hair. I've been going to the same hairstylist in my hometown since I was four, and once I moved to Fort Worth I was very nervous about letting someone new do my hair after hearing about friends who have had hair disasters!
I went to the salon on the recommendation of my roommates and some of my friends. It's in an old house that was renovated into a salon. The staff is incredibly friendly and accomidating. The room where the reception desk is located has a ton of beauty products to browse while you wait, and there is also a room in the back of salon that they use as a waiting room that has more beauty products, makeup, and other cool gift type items.
I had two different people work on my hair (one for color and one for the cut) and they were both wonderful! They were attentive and paid attention to my requests. While I was getting my hair done, some of the other people that work in the salon brought around trays of fresh lemonade and fruit slushes.
It was a wonderful, enjoyable experience and I left with highlights and a fantastic cut for a very reasonable price! I've had a ton of compliments on my hair since my first visit and will definitely be going back!
