I bought a Groupon for a 1hr Swedish massage. Booking an appointment was easy & the receptionist was friendly. The spa itself is really nice. They take you to a sitting room, offer you coffee or water and have you fill out paperwork. There's a dark room with lounge chairs, fireplace and fountain. It looked really comfy but I wasn't asked to sit there. I assume it's for people that are doing multiple services??
Anyways. The massage room was nice, they have a locker for you to put your clothes in. The down fall, the room has a huge window and although there was a curtain, it was still bright in the room. The massage rooms I've had in the past has a been window less so I'm used to darkness.
I added on hot stones to my groupon for an additional $23 charge. The massage itself was good, the hot stone part was my favorite.
So why not a higher rating? Well although my massage therapist was good at the massage, she talked a lot & continually kept telling me about other services the spa offered. Not just once or twice but at least 4 times she mentioned services to me. It was kinda annoying.... I get that she was promoting the services to a new customer but this could have been done by giving me a brochure after my massage.
And finally, YOU CAN'T ADD TIP TO THE CARD!!!! What!?!? This is suppose to be a high end salon not some nail salon in a strip mall. I was unable to leave a tip, because I went shopping at the mall after my massage and was going to bring a tip back but they closed at 3. Which made me feel bad but still such a huge inconvenience for me.
Not sure I'll be back. But hey there are plenty of spas to choose from. -

I bought a Groupon last fall for a swedish massage and finally had the chance to use it. The location is conveniently located near my house...BONUS! I showed up for my appointment and was asked to fill out some paperwork. I didn't find the front desk staff to be that friendly, especially knowing it was my first time there. A smile would have gone a long way. The woman at the desk took my coat and led me to a back room. It was dimly lit with a fake fireplace, lounge chairs and a table. I was offered a beverage and left to fill out my paperwork.
About 10 minutes later, my massage therapist arrived and led me to one of the massage rooms located just off the main room. I found it to be a little bright, but whatever. My massage therapist did a really great job explaining what she was going to be doing. I really enjoyed her technique and the massage itself felt great and was relaxing. HOWEVER, the noise was ridiculous!
Throughout the massage I could hear random noises and unnecessary racket.. First, there were a couple ladies and some children in the main room just outside our door talking and cackling very loudly. Who the heck brings their young kids to the spa, and who the heck doesn't warn customers to zip their pie holes when touring a spa!? When that finally stopped, I got back into my massage. A little while later, someone went into the next room and started rifling through a cabinet that was right up against the adjoining wall, banging things around. WTH!? YOu work here, I'm sure you're aware that massages take place in the adjoining rooms!!! Gah! I kind of expected my massage therapist to apologize for the noise, but nothing. Maybe she's so used to it she doesn't notice the noise any more???
Overall, the massage was great, my massage therapist was friendly and the spa is nicely decorated, but everything else was mediocre. I'm glad I got the massage for half off, because paying full price for this would have been a disappointment. -

I bought a Groupon and booked a 90 min. massage. When I arrived I was greeted by a friendly young girl who checked me in and brought me back to fill out some paper work. I was never asked to confirm what services I was getting.
While filing out my paper work I was constantly told that someone will be with me shortly. I was also asked if I was getting the serenity signature massage? I replied I have a 90 min. massage I am not sure if that is the serenity signature massage and she replied oh yes I see a 90 min. massage.
After a foot soak I was taken to the massage room. The massage therapist never asked me what type of massage I wanted so I just assumed she knew from the receptionist. During my massage she talked a lot and kept commenting on how my skin was peeling, making me feel very self conscious. The massage therapist only gave me a 60 min. massage instead of a 90 min. massage. which I didn't realize until I was dressed and checked my phone. I was still charged for a 90 min. massage. I later called to get a refund but could only get a refund for the $10 that I paid to them and could only get a gift card for the difference.
After I got home I realized I had bruising on my back from the massage. During the massage the therapist used something called cupping. Which I was never asked if I wanted or told that it can cause bruising. Which it did! I have 2 long bruises down the middle of my back, knowing that I was getting married in 3 days she still preformed this procedure!! I had to go to get special cream to minimize the bruising. I called the salon back and talked to the owner and she told me that the bruising could last for 4 up to weeks! Why would any therapist preform this on someone who is coming in for a relaxing massage that is getting married in 3 days?! The owner basically told me that there was nothing that she could do that it was already done and she would talk to the therapist. She didn't ever offer any free services until I brought it up! Not that I want to go back after this mess.
So all in all I had the worst experience at this spa and would not recommend this spa to anyone. I went to relax before my big day and this experience was anything but relaxing. -

Had no idea this spa was so close to home. I found it using spafinder because I had received two gift certificates on Valentines Day.
It's a very well appointed salon and spa, with all sorts of services ranging from nail and hair to spa massage and facials, as well as hair removal (permanent, waxing, etc.).
Althought the front seems a little tight, the space in the interior is very well appointed and reminiscent of the Italian Riviera or Santa Monica in California.
The staff are all very happy and look after their clients to the best of their abilities.
My facial and eyebrow treatment began with a relaxing hot water foot soak. When I mentioned it was my birthday they threw in a mini mani at the same time I was getting my facial, complimentary.
My esthetician was lovely and was very knowledgeable about all the products and services at the salon and spa, and recommended a number of services for my needs and interests. The nail technician was lovely and did an awesome job on my nails.
I would definitely go back here again, especially for nails and facials. They use Dermalogica products which encompasses a very good line for acne which is what I was interested in at the time. They also feature microdermabrasion, which as my esthetician explained, is not unlike being licked by an angry cat. It was my first time with dermabrasion and I found it tolerable considering the great results I saw later.
If you want a high end, full range salon and spa, you should really give these guys a try. And best of all, they're a local business. -

My friend & I got a certificate here from our husbands. We were so excited and she was having a friend over from NY so we made it a group thing.
First let me state that it was a nice and Clean Spa. The sit room was relaxing and everyone was smiling there. The workers love to smile and I like that.
Now on to things they could improve on...
1. When they give a gift card to someone, just put the monetary amount because they wrote that my husband paid for 3 services but then I had to pay extra since their prices "changed" I asked her why they would write down what he paid for and then not accept it.
2. Communication is key. My friends and I were supposed to get specialty messages but my friends found out THROUGH A STAFF member that we didn't receive the same treatments and when we told them while we were paying; they said that we did all receive the same treatments. That was false and we would have never known if the staff member didn't tell us. I think the staff would know and they were wrong to make my friends pay for a service they didn't receive.
3. Room was very cramped for nails and didn't have the room ready for us and made us stand there for a couple of minutes. Weird
4. IF you inconvenience the customer, use customer service skills. The manager was very loud with me after she stated that she did not have enough message therapists to do all our back messages. She offered another service and wanted me to pay the full price for that.
The checkout process was ridiculous and we needed a message after going there. I bet many people have wonderful experiences and I really wanted to have one as well.
Too much stress for my taste. I will look around for another spa. -

I used a Groupon for a 1 hour massage and thoroughly enjoyed it! Becky was my massuese (sp?) and was one of the best that's ever worked on me (if not the best). She worked on kinks and knots in my back that I swear have been there for years. She was careful to frequently ask if she was being too rough. For me, she wasn't. I know that's the only way to "dig out" those deep kinks. It was totally worth the pain- those kinks are gone!! She never tried to upsell me or push product on me. I talked throughout the massage with her, but I always initiated the conversation. When I did cease talking she was quiet. It seems that if you preferred a silent massage she would easily comply.
The spa is beautiful, very clean, and peaceful inside. They offer all kinds of services there: nails, pedis, hair, facials/microdermabrasions, massage, waxing, botox (there is a doctor that comes in for that).
The only two "heads up" items that I have: as previously mentioned by another Yelper, the massage room had a very dark curtain, but it did allow some light in the room. I am accustomed to a dark massage room. I thought it would bother me, but actually once the massage was underway, it didn't. For most of the massage I was face down with my eyes closed. The portion where I was laying face up I just kept my eyes closed (as I would have done in a completely dark room anyway).
The other heads up: I had no cash with me and wanted to tip Becky. A credit card couldn't be used for tips (or perhaps it was not allowed for "tips only", not sure I didn't clarify that). I did have my check book, so I wrote a check. I didn't ask if I could use a debit card for that. It was not an issue for me, but I mention it so that you won't be caught unaware.
The place is a little tricky to find, but once you find it you'll be happy that you did! It's like a little oasis in the midst of the suburban shoppers. I highly recommend it and hope to get back there soon to try other services (and book with Becky again!). -

I got a gift certificate to this spa as a mother's day gift and am so glad that I did. The massage was amazing and they have really reasonable prices on other services like airbrush spray tanning. Now that I've been there a few times I feel like they really go out of their way to accomodate me. Oh and if you sign up on their email list they frequently send you emails with specials they are having.
