I would give it a zero star, if I could..
Would not like to waste my time...but I will just say..
neither food nor attitude of owners is worth visiting this place. Everything is so darn abysmal that If they offer free food, please do consider that you have to drive (gas costs money). Hopeless service.
Avoid...
As far as a five star review given by a guy celelbrating his/her mom's 60th b'day. I can just say...that I am sure...restaurant people had no business on that day, and that i why restaurant accepted the order.
We attended a friends party at Golden Moments. Food was above average. The service was horrible, only 1 server attending 100 people. No service on water, soft-drinks. Due to delay in lunch serving, some people left earlier eating appetisers only. Restaurant does not have any Music/Speaker system - Organizer had to scream to get crowds attention. If you are planning an event, I would caution you on making sure they provide enough man-power and use your own mic-speaker system.

Used to eat here alot when I lived down this way. Made less spicy because it's a buffet but you can always add cause it's there for the taking.
Lamb kabon, lamb curry, and pink dessert the best part (sorry I don't know the name of the pink dessert ball if you do please let me know).

I went to this place with my family by accident. We didn't know that this restaurant had changed hands. Every couple of months we used to go to the restaurant that used to be here (new taste of India) to enjoy a nice dinner buffet. It used to be cheap too - about $25 for a family of 4 that includes 2 kids. But this new place is a rip off. The Naans were expensive, and the 2 curries we ordered were some of the worst Indian stuff i have ever had. Chilli Chicken with huge pieces of Bell pepper and huge slices of Onion all over the dish. The chicken pieces tasted like boiled pieces hastily mixed with some curry paste instead of being cooked in it. Nobody liked the food and I ended up paying $50. Never again.

I came here at lunch for a to-go order. That took 20 minutes and the waiter barely acknowledges your existence. I should have just gone to the buffet and eaten really quickly.
Anyway, I ordered the butter chicken, naan, rice, and mango lassi. Let me say that the food here is SOOO GOOD! I loved it. The naan was perfectly soft. Everything was fresh. Portions good. I only ate 1/3 of it and I'm so stuffed. I feel like I ate up to my throat. Will go again but maybe next time to sit down.
*UPDATE*
I went there last night for buffet. It's not very good. The selection was small, and the curries/sauces had little flavor/spice. The service was really good though because I believe, the owners were working. The chicken curry was okay. The butter chicken in the buffet tasted signifigantly different from the time I ordered it to go. So if you dine here, just get it a la carte because they make it fresh rather than getting it from the buffet.

I am writing this review in an effort to show my deepest gratitude and appreciation to the Staff at Golden Moments. Last weekend, I was throwing a surprise 60th Birthday Bash for my Mother and while we were cooking, on the day of the party, our stove went dead. I mean everything stopped working, the burners, the oven, even the microwave (it later turned out that there was a short in our home's wiring and the whole kitchen was affected). Anyway, with only 6 hours left for the party to start, we were stuck with no other alternative than calling around town to see who could cater us at the late notice. After getting many "No's" we were recommended Golden Moments restaurant in Milpitas. I must say that right from the start, Dave, the concierge, helped me feel at ease and got our order down. He understood the circumstances and promised us our food on time. Come party time, as requested, the food was there 30min early so that we could set it up before Mom could get home. The food was amazing, especially the Naan (very tender) and the Masala Okra Sabji was mouthwatering. We also enjoyed the Paneer Tikka Masala, and the Aloo Gobi, very delicious. All-in-all, this was the best catering experience I have had as everything went so smooth considering the extreme time constraints. The price was very competitive and they didn't even charge us extra for the late notice. In the end, over 40 of our guests were well accommodated and, best of all, Mom had a blast! Thank you Golden Moments! You saved my Mom's special day, one she will remember for a long, long time.
big place, never crowded... no real service but with the gargantuan amounts of butter chicken, huge chunks of lamb curry and fantastic naan at this indian buffet, who cares? located on Warm Springs, it's geared towards the business lunch hours, so if you go anytime other than that, you'll feel a bit isolated at your table b/c you'll be 2 of the 4 ppl in the restaurant. $8 a pop for all you can eat.
