One of the Business' Favorite Reviews What's This?
One of the best bars in Downtown. It has the urban hip factor going on without stepping to the level of a dive. Because believe me, as much as this feels casual, it's no dive.. it's something entirely nice.
You have to love the golden gophers that are all over the place. That's the staple name appeal there. Drinks are pretty cheap and happy hour sure does give it a nice twist.
Every now and then Kogi seems to stop by here and it gets everyone in the bar flooded out to get those Korean tacos. This is the best time to get drinks. I suppose if you really want to soak up the cheap drinks you can get in line. Though that will get rid of your buzz long before the tacos hit your mouth.
Door man doesn't blink twice when you want to bring in the food. Something that most bars don't really care much, but it's always nice to know you're not going to piss off the employees by bringing in food and potentially making a mess.
The place has a chill factor that goes off the scales. It really is one of the better relaxing spots for anyone in downtown looking to bar hop. A-freakin-mazing!
Great place!
The first time I saw The Golden Gopher sign I figured it was some hole in the wall titty bar. Hence, why I kept walking until a friend told me thaht it was a great bar.
Now, The Gopher is a sure stop on any downtown bar hopping evening. Its really a great place. I've never had to wait in line and the door man's always cool. As was stated, drinks are $12-14, but they're good.
The bartenders aren't cocky like some other places either - maybe because I order good drinks, iduno. They also have a nice selection of quality whiskeys and the like.
So TC and I dropped by Golden Gopher because I've never been and I've always wanted to check the place out.
Getting in was easy. Getting to the bar was easier. Two stool seats at the bar opened up right when we walked in. After a while, I couldn't help but noticing that we were the only two dudes sitting on stools at the bar.
TC: Hey, what do they have that's left fo the McCallan 12 and right of the McCallan 18.
K: I dunno, man. Ask the bartender. Man,they must hate us right now. Instead of two hot white girls drawing guys to the bar just to talk to them, it's you and me. Dumb and dumber.
We ended up picking the McAllister 12 (at 16 a pop) versus the Bowman (at 60 a pop). While we were nerding it up about how the scotch was peaty, smoky and sweet, two fives came up behind us in a total role reversal.
Girls: Hey guys! Can we buy you a drink?
TC: (turning around and throwing up his left hand in a total chick move) Can't you see I'm wearing a RING!
The wifey must be soooo proud!
No regrets, though. Contrary to what Kanye says, they might be fives, but together they're ... still fives.
Tiny bar, unpretentious, good drinks!
Ok, As I know many friends that do frequent this bar I cannot hate it. But I will be very honest. The bar is not cheap... $13..starting on drinks and possibly cheaper if you order (Canned beer) what am I some amazon?
Anyway, I wont' knock that alone, but..it definitely isn't a dive either. Its got a classy dive ambiance to it. Sort of a what you see is NOT what you get. The only downside is if you come here in a ladies crowd the men here don't have the keenest of manners. My night spent was at Bad Manners held Thursday nights.. Drunk is no excuse to treating a lady. And ladies if that's your thing (Then come here) I know a few overly confident men looking to hook up that frequent this place.
Xx
I came here on a weeknight and there was plenty of room. I did however hear it can get pretty packed and is not unheard of for there to be a line at the door. You can call them to make arrangements and get a booth at any of the historic locations they manage though. Prices are pretty good for LA, and they do have a happy hour. The inside is spacious with booths, and bar seating or plenty of standing room. There is an outside area to smoke and best of all... big bathroom with tons of mirror space for women! Gotta love that.
One of the best spots in downown. You cant go wrong with the Gopher. Ask for Richard and tell him to give you a DUI. I had some good time at the Gopher.
Downtown Bar
full bar, scarce street parking & pay lot parking, no cover, smoking patio, top 40s music mainly, young crowd, minimal dress code.
I do enjoy the occasional Golden Gopher outing.
The ambiance is quite nice because of the retro exterior and interior. I like how they're revamping these old downtown bars and making them cool again. The outdoor patio is a nice place to have a beer and chat w friends or make new friends.
And you gotta rub the golden gopher belly for good luck. Actually I totally made that up. But they have Pac Man!
A kinda neat place for my 300th review! Woohoo!
When I first passed by this place all I could think of was pole dancers and pasties. Well, this isn't the case.. :D
We were there early so I can't judge the late evening clientele but it seemed like a pretty nice place. I know, I know..usually a bar with a photo booth isn't into keeping up appearances, but this place seemed to!
The bartenders were a little eh, but whatever, my drink was good and I enjoyed my time with my husband!
And you can't beat the golden gophers on the lamps! :D
I have to agree with other less-than-enthusiastic reviews of this place. Friday night it was full but the crowd was lame in general, and the fact taht many were totally okay with pushing through our group of friends to walk through (walk around, people!) made the social setting not-so-enjoyable. One of my friends kept insisting that everyone there looked like they were from the Valley (by this I think he meant there were no hot girls in short skirts, a staple of WestLA).
To top it all off, a couple of under-age looking girls pulled a totally undergrad move and starting making out (more like eating each other's faces off) in the middle of the bar, and occasionally checking around to see if others were enjoying the free show. Tacky, tacky, tacky. But it seemed right in step with the rest of the golden gopher, especially in contrast with the totally classy dinner we'd had at Bottega Louie.
I am so diggin this bar again. The Gopher has grown up. It's been through the slut stage and now is ready for something a lil more experienced.. a lil sexy.... a lil scarred. I like this. I like it quite a bit....
Best description I can muster up is a ghettoized version of 7 Grand but without the pool tables and my man, Dapper George. Nice patio with lounge seating at both ends.
Drinks are your average LA price including your first born.
They sell smokes. YES....!
Juke box is playn...
Hmm... Cute guy with black rimmed glasses.
Ms. Pacman...nostalgic...
Wanna play?
Winner buys next round... wink wink... :)
**Morning After**
Ugh.... my head.... "Where the hells my Advil?"....
Ok... A couple of things.... Crowd was laid back last night. Not sure what it morphs into on weekends.
Nice large booths to lounge in when your heels are making it hard for you to stand straight... wait... that could have been the gin.
"Did that dude with the mohawk try to kiss me? Nah...That must have been a dream." I'm gonna have to ask Mike about that one. Last night is a lil fuzzy.
*stumbles to the kitchen*
No coffee... This is gonna be a rough day...
mmmmm I like golden things. Gophers are little animals that dig. golden diggers. Well there's an interesting combo, I thought to myself one night, I'll check this out.
I was confused. It was easy to get into this establishment. There was a line which I found odd for a dirty area of downtown on a Tuesday night with a rundown storefront. Once inside, the front of the bar seemed like a cross between a Vegas lounge off the strip and a dave and busters from 1982, if that was possible. However, since this is 2009 and what is weird is awesome (take bearded winter hats for example. see them here, http://www.thisnext.co... ), the front of the bar passed the coolness test. There were video games retrofitted into table tops- alright, I'm game. Pun intended.
Walking further into the depths of this cave, the entire ambiance changes from oddity to downtown-chic. the bar is half inside and half outside. The music is underground alternative. There is no trace of the childish games (which is a good thing). People were engaged in conversation. Besides the chaos that I though was reserved for the I-just-turned-21-last-week crowd at the bar, it was a chill place. The bathrooms were clean, there weren't weird attendants, and it was a good time.
I didn't see any gold diggers though.
I made an early saturday evening at the Golden Gopher in downtown LA right when it opened at 8. The place was basically empty as we took a seat at the bar to have our orders. The bartender kept us company and told us that the crowds start to roll in around 10:30, which he was completely correct about.
At around 9 we made our way to the outdoor patio so that my pal could smoke, and the three of us took over one end of the area where a set of couches were. They've got a little store in front that sells alcohol, and cigarettes, but alas no cigars. I enjoyed their whiskey sours, the wife enjoyed the margaritas, and the buddy enjoyed his whiskeys on the rocks.
If you get your tab over 80 bucks, and they'll automatically add on gratuity. Just to let you know. The same company owns 7 grand, and broadway bar so if things start to feel familiar, there's a reason why.
Love the golden gophers all over the bar! Bartenders are really nice and efficient. I also like the outdoor patio, which is more like an outdoor alley accessible from the bar. They also have a cool photobooth near the restrooms. The crowd is mixed and they flood through the doors by 10 pm. We were there rather early and snagged a good spot in the patio. It's just too bad that they don't let you bring the stools outside to rest your weary feet. This is a fun place to hang out in Downtown after dinner.
After two bars, I needed some caffeine to get me to our next stop, so I tried their Van Gopher cocktail ($13) with Van Gogh expresso vodka and Bailey's Irish cream. It was a good pick me up, but nothing fancy. The bf had the Lowlife ($10) which included a glass of Blue Pabst and a choice of well shot. He chose a whiskey.
It wasn't crowded at all, maybe 15 people total hanging out, sitting at the bar or standing outside in the patio smoking. It was around 9:00PM on a Thursday night.
More notably, the bartenders were really nice! He even returned my credit card when I failed to pick it up after signing the receipt. (Oops!) They also had plush booths, old school video game machines, and a little liquor store, where they sold bottles "to-go."
Overall, it was alright; chill, spacious, but not the happening place to be on a Thursday. Next time I'll have to try their happy hour.
Yay, for $1 jack shots from 9:30-9:31PM! I saw this promotion on their Twitter page and had to go for it.
3 stars it is.
Came in after a Laker game. I loved the vibe and I could actually hear what the other members in the party were saying. Cool spot with a sexy vibe. You control the music which controls the vibe! Everytime I come into the city I stop in !
This was one of the first new bars to open downtown and try to bring people here. It is still one of the best. Yes, it is small, it does get a bit crowded sometimes, but the place is still always fun. The drinks are decently priced, they have a good selection of booze, AND the coolest thing is that they can sell you bottles so you can drink on your walk to another bar. Well maybe it wasn't intended for that but I found out that it is perfect for that.
The crowd is mostly young professionals, actually I think that is most of downtown, and people aren't very pretentious. They have a small patio for smoking but it does get crowded. There is no dance floor so if your in the dancing mood make it over to another place. All the little gold gophers that are the lamps are quite a nice touch.
I knew I'd find my way back here soon.
I just have to add a couple new details I didn't mention in my last review. First of all, the bouncers here are really freaking cool. Extremely down-to-earth and they socialize with the crowd. Definitely gets points in my book.
Second, the music here never fails. I SO love that they have a jukebox that I can sing along too.
http://www.youtube.com...
^^ Billy Idol seems to be a favorite at this joint, FYI.
Finally, the Kogi trucks totally stopped RIGHT in front of the Golden Gopher while I was there. Post-buzz midnight snack? Hell yes.
Keep up the good work, folks!

Oh, Golden Gopher. You've secured a little place in my heart. You also reminded me why L.A. bars… Read more »
In a sea of interesting bars in the downtown area I feel that Golden Gopher is really just A-OK. Yes there are gophers, not hamsters which are my favorite rodents, so maybe that is why I was not too excited about this place. The drinks just did not seem too memorable and the ambience did not really get me excited. Like anything, this place is worth a second try, but I will have to tear myself away from my other local haunts first.
This was the first place i hung out when i first moved from NYC almost 5 years ago,the only thing i didnt like it was that they close at 2am. and i was used to the bars in NY they close at 4am but aside from that its a great place to meet people, the bartenders are nice drinks are good and prices reasonable they have a smoking seccion(on the patio) ha! most of the guys are casual dressed, pretty nice people goes there very friendly i have met a couple guys there so i love it there!!
Cool bar, cool crowd, but nothing that really makes it stand out ya know. It's a neat place, but that's about it. Drinks aren't horribly overpriced. I'll come back, but I wont plan a night around it.
I freakin love the Gopher! On the outside it looks so plain jane but then you walk in and you're like "wow, it's nice in here'. The music is very good. Old school punk, old KROQ, old indie. Drinks are reasonable. We ordered a bottle of champeezee.........well actually like 3 bottles of champeezee lol
Got pretty toasty. At $30.00 a bottle, it was the best deal on the menu. Cool mixed crowd, everyone friendly. You gotta check out the gopher.
One of my first love affairs in the Downtown directory, Golden Gopher will always hold a special place in my not-quite-divebar heart. I always pull a couple of their plush chairs up to the Pacman table and am set from 10 til close. Bartenders are a hit and miss on the helpful scale, but I'm not usually there for their company. The Gopher is a narrow bar and is, in my opinion, built for twos. Crowd varies from the happy-hour-collared-shirt types, to support-your-favorite-local-rocker-Tee types, to I'm-a-local-and-it shows folks. Whichever you happen upon, everyone minds their own (but not in the "I'm an elitist" kind of way that some Hollywood bars vibe).
The Gopher is a classic you can count on after MOCA or the Redcat.
I'm a pretty down to earth chica. How can I say this with such conviction? Because I celebrated my 2Xth birthday at GG .. so I'm told. I don't remember a dang thing about that night except hugging a toilet bowl in a public restroom while my head was buried in it. GG must have dang clean toilets since I didn't get any diseases that night (that I know of ... )
But besides clean toilets, GG has stiff drinks, cigs for sale, dim lighting, a dingy stench, 80s arcade games (i.e. Pac Man and Donkey Kong), and corny 80s videos playing in the background. I say this is a perfect making of a DTLA-contrived dive bar.
I've never been impressed by the crowd or music when I've been here but that is probably because I've never stayed very long. GG is more like a place to get your pre-drinks on before heading out to the REAL party at the Hills ... o wait, did I just say that I was down to earth?
I've been meaning to go to this bar for the longest time. You can't consider yourself a downtown bar connoisseur without knowing this place. It's been around as long as I've been working in downtown LA (3 years, hahah), and with one of the oldest liquor licenses in the area.
So I stopped by Saturday night and the place was packed, but it was easy to get served. Although the bar is crowded, you just need the experience of how to get through and to the mixologist.
Although the drinks are not as good as my favorite bar in downtown LA, (seven grand), I do love the decor and the vibe more here. It's a younger crowd, more energy, and I love the pac man/galaga game in the corner.
What I really call customer service, is when the bartender saw me outside, and said he's glad I liked the new mixed drink he just invented for me inside. There must have been 100 people that night, and yet he can recall faces. Totally cool, and an incentive to go back. When bartenders know who you are, you know you'll be served quickly and well. I always make it a point to know my mixologist.
The place is worth a stop on the bar hopping adventures in downtown LA.
Prices have also gone way, way up (I guess they feel they are in the same league as Seven Grand and nearby Bottega Louie?). $12 was the price of cocktails so I stuck with Jameson on the rocks ($8).
They do have all-night happy hour some days of the week though but I'm not sure if I would trek out here on Sundays.
We sat outside on the smoking patio which had nice furniture and eventually a waitress came by. Unfortunately, we'd get a whiff of eau de piss every now and then. Um, time to go before the wind changes again.
I still love the liquor to go store which has more booze for sale now! Wow, they're not just selling PBR!

I am happy to report the place was more happening this past Friday around 10:30.

I like this bar because it's near me, it's dark, they play a great playlist of music, the place is pretty much lit up by candle center pieces, there is an outdoor section, comfortable plush couches and the drinks were made well.
Parking is on the street so check the meters for times.
This was Stop #3 of the DTLA Bar Hopping Tour. Stop #2 was the lobby area of The Standard Hotel, which I won't write a review on because there isn't much to talk about.. other than it being a nice posh lounge area to hang out in before you hit up The Standard Rooftop Bar.
Moving on.. I actually thought this was one of the coolest chillest spot of the tour. Big pluses for: huge glasses of Stella on tap, a Photobooth and Ms. Pac Man for your entertainment, and Shots To Go on the way out!! Oh yeah, and the hot dog lady outside the bar! Mmm..
I went on a slow Monday night.
It was my birthday so I rounded up a bunch of friends to head over to the Golden Gopher.
From the outside and surrounding areas, this place looks kind of dingy and maybe a dive bar.
The inside however will change your mind.
There are cute little golden gopher lamps everywhere.
Its pretty dark, but the decor and seating arrangements make a very mellow and warming interior.
There are even old school arcade machines from the 80s.
Judging by the crowd, I would say this is where the more mature crowd would hang out.
Drinks were a bit on the pricey side. Luckily, the bartender paid for my drink! That saved me $11! Yes!
Overall, it was a really chill place. Especially since it wasn't crowded or anything.
The music playing was a very wide range of old rock, Death Cab for Cutie, to even a little bit of hip hop. You never know what's gonna play next!
There's also a small store on your right as soon as you walk in that sells alcohol, smokes, condoms, hang-over cures, and t-shirts.
Ended up here on Friday night because there was a line to get into 7 Grand. I was initially taken aback by Golden Gopher's exterior (it looks like a sleazy nightclub in a not so great part of downtown), but was pleasantly surprised to find the interior rather nice and inviting. Drinks were good and not expensive. Four drinks were around $30. There were a good number of couches and tables around. There's also a patio area thats more than just a smoking area. Its a cozy spot to hang out and chat (because its not so loud) and catch a glimpse of the buildings outside. The crowd seemed pretty mellow and casual. Great place to just get a drink and chill. I would definitely go back!
I would love to write a review of this place, but was rejected at the door for being "too drunk". Excuse me? This is a bar. Usually, at a bar people drink. He asked me where I was before hand and how much I had drank (3 whole beers!), and then denied me entrance. I'm sorry, but any bar with a policy like this is ridiculous.
For Yelpers familiar with the DTLA bar scene, this appears to be a go-to place. It's no wonder why: reasonably priced drinks, fun ambiance, good drinks, a photo booth (broken during my visit but I'm sure it's great), excellent Happy Hour specials (all night Sunday and Monday), and those adorable golden gopher sconces!
My favorite part of the experience was the patio area, which made me feel like I was at a rooftop party in NYC. Nice comfy seating, good mood lighting, and cool breezes make this a great spot to have your drink and chill out.
I came here with some friends the other night, and found this watering hole to be very winning. The bar is situated in an older building downtown with black tiles on the front; very reminiscent of San Francisco in the early 1970's. Black walls, large windows, and small candles in ruby votives conjure a great lounge feel. There are a few modern ammonites as well, such as a large screen TV and a jukebox with a choice selection - including the classic Billy Idol.
My party and I reposed on the large u-shaped sofa on the elegant patio. I went with their house Cabernet, and it was pretty good. They had terrific service, and Happy Hour is all night Sunday and Monday. Also, the bar was not overly crowded, which I liked. I would advise going on an off-night, so one doesn't feel like a lemming being swept into the ocean.
But what really impressed me were the gophers themselves. These little rodents, covered thoroughly in gilt, are attached to these simple lamps with a black shade. I love it! It's not my usual style, but I'm wondering, can one purchase a Golden Gopher lamp? Is there a website? Or perhaps I should scour Ebay for this tinseled creature?
Also, I know they are completely different animals (cousins maybe?), but I think they should have a massive Groundhog Day celebration. I would attend. With fun drink specials to go along with the holiday. How fun would that be? Bill Murray could give a speech. I think they should do this...will most assuredly be back.
Man, this place is so lame. I don't know why my friends always insist on going. It's always empty when we go (but not in the fun, "we just took this place over!" kind of way), the drinks are pricey, the decor is blah, the crowd is meh, you get the picture. It's just not that cool of a place.
It's not quite a sit-and-drink bar, not quite a lounge, and definitely not a dive bar. It's an awkward red-headed stepchild.
There are cooler places downtown, people. If you want class, try The Association. Dive: Bar 107. Lounge: Seven Grand. Good ol' fashioned bar: Casey's. This place is really just plain boring. Nothing special at all.
Meh. We went here because it was too late to even hope of getting into 7 Grand. With one ground level and a patio without a view, there isn't a whole lot to do if you're not with a group, getting drunk or trying to hook up. To be sure, this is a hook up spot on Saturdays (and may be the last Saturday I spend here). Why? Because looking around the room and hearing people talk as I walked past, guys were getting numbers and people's conversations were of the superficial kind that only strangers engage in (e.g. "So do you...?").
Went here at 12:30AM on a Saturday and what do you know, there was a relatively long line out front. My friend asks how long the wait will be and the bouncer asks if it's just us. Once we respond in the affirmative, he says there's no wait and unhooks the rope to let us in - score. For once being female has benefited!
Decor inside wasn't anything spectacular. For some reason we thought there was a second floor - ha (must've mixed it up with some other bar in DTLA). After waiting quite awhile for drinks some dudes let me order because they say I've been waiting a long time - how sweet! I ordered a lemon drop, but it wasn't very strong. Not as strong as it could be, especially with a big piece of ice floating in my glass.
We walk out to the patio and as I cross the threshold I am stopped by a guy who begins to try and pour on whatever ounce of charm he has, and fails miserably. As he talks, I down the rest of my lemon drop in less than a minute flat. I nodded, responded appropriately and smiled, hoping more liquor would miraculously appear in my glass. Then it made sense why he was so annoying: he's a USC alumnus. After Mr. Self-Proclaimed 5th Generation Old Money dismisses himself, we look for some arcade games to play. We see this game I played as a kid that I now forget the name of - you shoot spaceships. When I played this game eons ago it was 1 quarter to play - here it is 2. The machine is by the entrance at a booth. I put the money in and press start - and it's, what, BRICK BREAKER?! What a disappointment. By then I am buzzed (drinking on an empty stomach helps) so the game lasts less than a minute - dah!
We move to find Mrs. Pac-Man. I put in 2 quarters and it says i need 1 more credit to begin, even though it's 50 cents to play. OH WHAT?! So I put in another quarter. My friend plays and we have fun - the whole 4 minutes of fun it is before it's game over. Needless to say the arcade games blow and are just for show.
Saw reviews of people talking about a Korean BBQ truck outside. When we left at closing, there was only the carnita truck - that sold lengua, cabesa, carnita, carne asada and a slew of other items less than $2. Strangely, hot dogs were $3. My friend pointed that out after we ordered carne asada and carnita. Disturbing. The carne wasn't so bad, but I wish the Korean BBQ truck was there. ;) Not likely that we'll be coming back - but it made for an interesting night.
PROS:
- No cover charge
- No line (if you're a girl) - the bouncer is nice, which is a plus
- Lively, relatively polite crowd
- $3 and $5 flat rate parking nearby
- Chill peeps, nice dudes - dope ass bouncer (can I say ass on Yelp? Better yet, can I say dope?) crowd was definitely better than Hollywood
- decent music
CONS:
- Only one bar; half the battle was trying to get a drink
- Short dudes, some with major B.O. - amplified by everyone being packed in like sardine cans
- An inordinate amount of fat chicks
- Those video games are a rip! I want my money back
- Weak drinks
It's bar hopping night and most of the bars before this last stop have been packed to capacity. Don't know what was going on, maybe people just wanted to preparty the day before they knew the Lakers were going to win. Who knows.
Anyhow, we parked diagonally across the street in that lot for $3. Yes, $3 bucks, I was surprised myself. If you can find street parking, go for it but $3 isn't going to kill you.
We strolled into this place around 1am-ish. Good thing, no line unlike some of the other bars before this stop. Walked in and it was packed. We nestled by the OG Pacman-Gattaca game while some of us hit the bar for drinks. It didn't take too long to get the drinks even though the bar was filled with people.
I liked the decor: dark wood, low light, and not too many random colors. There was enough light to notice people's faces clearly, so at least you can see who you are chit chatting with. The prices for the drinks are what I'm use to with a popular place. I just handed my buddy money, so I can't tell you the exact price, but I'm going to assume $10/drink. Small smoking patio for the smokers, but big enough for some groups to go out and socialize.
After a long busted night filled with clubs filled to capacity and being tight on time, Golden Gopher saved our night I say. My buddy said that sometimes the Laker girls chill out here. Didn't see any that night though (Saturday). Good place to grab a few drinks, hang out, and talk over the loud music. Very chilled, very cool, very LA-ish.
Went to Golden Gopher last night with a bunch of friends and had a great time. It wasn't too crowded at all which is nice and the outside area was practically empty. It started to fill up a little later but still fairly roomy. The bartender made one hell of a long island! Every one seemed pleased with their drinks which is always a good thing.
I think what made the place super awesome is the video game tables. Genuis! I would def. go back!
Ladies, make sure to check out the super cute bathroom. It's pink!
yeah- it was OK
I went for a mixer with classmates- it's dark, could be intimate, but that's about it.
A cool first date place- but just don't have high expectations.
It has been a long time coming, but I'm finally writing a review for the Golden Golpher. I've been here a number of times, but always seemed to forget to give the high praise it deserves. I especially like their jukebox and pseudo outdoor patio. The vibe is cool and casual which is great for me since I don't particularly like getting all dolled up just to grab a beer and catch up with friends. Service is really nice and the drinks are reasonably priced. This will definitely be a frequent haunt of mine.
I really enjoyed my after-work drinks at the Golden Gopher. I arrived just as the bouncer was setting up so the place wasn't full and I got a drink immediately. The liquor prices are on the high side, especially given this is downtown, and their beer selection was small but they had an excellent variety of specialty drinks that were tasty and worth the $13.
No food, which after kicking back a few isn't good, but great ambience. Especially if you like dark corners. OK for groups but better if kept under 5 ppl. Parking was OK - found an afterhours lot nearby and parked all night for free.
