Golden Carrot is a hidden gem in Napa. It's conveniently located,and carries a great variety of natural products. They even have a HUGE selection of cookbooks! The produce section is small,but it has the necessities. The community bulletin board is also informative.

The owner is a chatty,friendly,helpful man who will go the extra mile for special orders. Once,I shopped there when I was ill and the broth and tea I found there were GREAT! Golden Carrot not only tastes good,it's good for you too!

This place is great!! I have been shopping here for 7 years and have never been disappointed. They have a large selection of vitamins & supplements and are VERY knowledgeable about all of them. Considering the small size of the store, they also have a large selection of health foods. They will always help you if you have a question, and if it's a new product they might even let you try it first!

Lorna is so helpful and really community centered. There is a wide selection of products, including fresh, organic produce. She will help you find local practitioners that are affordable and can help treat any condition.

The staff have become my friends. My organic life began in this store. I thoroughly enjoy going in to this store whenever I'm in town. On top of organic bathroom products and herbal/dietary supplements, they have a good selection of organic branded foods and some organic produce. The produce selection is small (probably 16 different items) but quality is topnotch! I personally go in there religiously for a couple kiwi, bananas and whatever bathroom products I'm running low on. There are lots of hidden jewels in this store you might not notice if you've never seen them before, but I've actually told the manager to keep me in mind in case someone quits just because of how much I enjoy being there (not to mention the amount of information she has to offer!) I also really appreciate that this store is very recreational/you can tell it's local. Out front there is always a folding table set up with little kniknacs for sale, once a day there is a box under that table labelled "free" usually filled with still-decent produce and other items whose shelf life is gone. On the other side of the door (still outside) there is a stand completely filled with information on different diseases, conditions, nutritional advice, etc. All in all, this is a wonderful place to get whatever you need for healthy daily life, and it's a joy doing so!

Its so sad to see the Golden Carrot close its doors.It was the best health food store around, none could compare.Lorna had this store 30 plus yrs,she was so knowledgeable about everything pertaining to your health. Good by old friend.

OH NO, the Golden Carrot is CLOSING after all these years of my having a love affair with the shop. I'm not sure of the exact date of their closure, but things are flying off the shelves quickly. This is the only real natural food store in Napa, and it makes me super sad that they're leaving. They had the greatest produce at reasonable prices, and bulk spices, and things you cannot find elsewhere... So sorry to see you go Golden Carrot.

I go to Lorna and the Golden Carrot for all my skin care products. She has extended her line of Derma e and it is reasonably priced and yummy! I also get my vitamins and any supplements from there. Lorna knows her products, for sure.

With the help of a young girl working there, my husband and I were able to finally locate a rare bulk herb, and I must say it was such an experience looking all over town for it. While there, we took the time to get to know the place which was such a fun and interesting experience. They carry a wide selection of products and the staff is quite friendly and helpful: I even got to know the name of one, Dennis. The store is rather small, but that did not stop the authenticity of its uniqueness and gentle ambiance. From bulk herbs (our reason for the visit) to wonderful candles, the prices are far below the usual. We will go back definitely and I fully recommend stopping by and checking out this store, it's completely worthwhile on multiple levels.

Went in to buy some ear candles, and did some random shopping. Ended up buying some chocolate peppermint cups. They were totally expired and super gnar. Love that place normally, just check dates before buying treats!
